L'invention concerne un appareil (1) portatif de mise en forme des cheveux, comprenant une mâchoire supérieure (2) et une mâchoire inférieure (3) disposées en regard l'une de l'autre, les mâchoires étant reliées par une charnière (9) de sorte à passer d'une position ouverte à une position fermée, la mâchoire supérieure (2) comprenant au moins un boîtier supérieur (22) intégrant une plaque de lissage supérieure (21), la mâchoire inférieure (3) comprenant au moins un boîtier inférieur (32) intégrant une plaque de lissage inférieure (31), au moins la mâchoire inférieure (3) comprenant au moins:
- des moyens de traction (4) des cheveux pouvant être déplacés entre deux positions distinctes par rapport à la plaque de lissage inférieure (31), dont une position sortie et une position rétractée,
- des moyens de réglage des moyens de traction (4) entre la position sortie et la position rétractée, les moyens de réglage étant intégrés à l'appareil (1), Selon l'invention, lesdits moyens de traction (4) comprennent sur chaque coté de la plaque de lissage une rangée de touffes de soie (41, 41').
