Definitions
- the invention relates to a dryer with a drying chamber for receiving moist material, with a substantially closed process air duct for passing process air through the drying chamber, with at least one heat source for heating the process air before it enters the drying chamber, and at least one heat sink for cooling the process air after its exit from the drying chamber, and a lint filter unit which can be inserted between the drying chamber and the at least one heat sink in a recess area in the housing of the dryer, accessible when the dryer door is open, and can be removed for cleaning purposes, wherein operation of the dryer can only be triggered if a monitoring device detects at least one closed state of the dryer door.
- essentially dryers are offered in commerce as condenser dryers as household appliances, which optionally have a heat pump.
- the warm, air-laden air emerging from a drum or a drying chamber is supplied to at least one heat sink, so that the moisture contained in this air is removed to a high degree.
- this air is supplied as process air again in a virtually closed process cycle at least one heat source, so that dry and heated process air can be introduced back into the drying chamber.
- the moist air discharged from the drying chamber is, before it is conducted to a heat sink, freed of lint, which in the drying process, in particular, to be dried laundry, free.
- a lint filter unit which consists in particular in a condensation dryer with heat pump from an outer and an inner screen or is constructed as a double deck screen.
- the lint filter unit is inserted into a recess in the lower region of a feed opening of the dryer when the dryer door is open or can be removed therefrom for cleaning purposes.
- solutions which is also generally to monitor that the lint filter unit is used, so far in a suitable manner for the standard use not enforced.
- a lint screening unit comprising an outer and an inner sieve, there are currently no solutions available to check that the inner sieve is also inside the outer sieve.
- the U.S. Patent 7,020,986 shows a washer-dryer with a drum for the washing and drying process.
- the axis of the drum is slightly obliquely oriented upward, so that the loading of laundry by an operator is facilitated by the closable with a door filling opening on the front side of the washer dryer.
- a drawer is mounted above the filling opening on the front, serving as a fluff trap, with a first and a second filter insert in a region of a duct-like guidance of dryer air from the drum, is formed.
- the first filter insert is effective in any case.
- a tumble dryer which has a loading door which is designed substantially like a cabinet door and thus considerably exceeds the opening area of a drum which receives laundry to be dried.
- On the inside of the door there is an air guiding device, which is adapted to the opening area of the drum, so that a moisture-laden air stream emerging from the drum can be directed into this area.
- the louver receives a lint filter, so that an air flow can be forwarded without lint.
- the operation of the tumble dryer can only be made if the lint filter is in its correct position when the loading door is closed.
- the dryer is a household appliance, which is designed in particular as a tumble dryer or as a washer-dryer.
- the invention thus relates to a dryer with a drying chamber for receiving moist material, such as laundry, with a substantially closed process air duct for passing process air through the drying chamber, with at least one heat source for heating the process air before it enters the drying chamber, and at least one heat sink for cooling the process air after its exit from the drying chamber, and a lint filter unit which can be inserted between the drying chamber and the at least one heat sink in a recess area in the housing of the dryer - accessible when the dryer door is open and removable for cleaning purposes Operation of the dryer can only be triggered when a monitoring device detects at least one closed state of the dryer door, wherein the monitoring device for monitoring the closed state of the dryer door one of the dryer door associated, first Guiding arrangement and that for a proper insertion of the lint filter unit in the recess portion of a lint filter unit associated second guide arrangement is provided, the first and the second guide assembly are conjunctively linked together and further provided that the second guide arrangement by the lint filter unit associated
- the first guide arrangement is formed by an on-switch, which is located in the housing of the dryer and is displaceable by a pin-like projection of the dryer door in the on state, wherein with the dryer door closed the pin-like projection into an opening of the housing is insertable, and wherein in particular the first guide arrangement can also be formed by two Einschalter.
- This guide arrangement formed in this way is simple to manufacture and can easily be tested in a service operation with respect to a possibly present disturbance, since the pin-like projection can be imitated directly for test purposes.
- the lint filter unit consists of a simple sieve. It is a lint filter, which is referred to in other context than the outer plug-in screen.
- the lint filter unit consists of a Doppelstecksieb and thereby has an inner and an outer plug filter.
- the second guide arrangement is provided by electrodes of the outer lint filter which are in contact with receiving electrodes in the housing of the dryer, and by electrodes which are also connected to one another, of the inner lint filter which is in contact with receiving electrodes the outer lint filter is formed, wherein a sufficiently low-resistance connection between the electrodes and the receiving electrodes can be achieved with correct insertion of the outer lint filter in the recess area and the inner lint filter in the outer lint filter.
- At least one of the, in particular second, guide arrangements is checked by a separate control part of the program control of the dryer, in particular with regard to the pending low resistance is checked. It can also prove to be advantageous that this test is not continuous, but only at certain, possibly also periodic or non-periodic, polling times is made.
- the dryer according to the invention is preferably a domestic appliance, in particular in the form of a tumble dryer or a washer-dryer (washing machine combined with a tumble dryer).
- the core of the invention which relates to the simultaneous detection of an installed lint screening unit and closure of the dryer door, is not a closed loop condenser dryer limited as such, as well as exhaust air dryer may be provided for special reasons with a lint filter or exhaust fans may be provided with a heat pump, which makes the use of a lint filter unit required.
- a dryer 1 has a device housing 1a. Within the device housing 1a is a drying chamber 3, which is usually designed as a rotatable about a horizontal axis drum to be dried, initially wet Good, such as to take laundry. With a program-specific rotation of the drum 3 laundry can be swirled by means of drivers 4, so that a drying process is supported. Process air 2a is forcibly guided in a substantially closed process air duct 2.
- At least one process air blower 19 by means of which process air 2a intended for entry from behind via hole arrangements into the drying chamber 3 (see the arrows) and which has been heated by at least one of the heat sources 15, 18, enters the interior of the drying chamber 3.
- a dryer door 5 is used in its open state for introducing moist material, such as laundry, which is to be dried.
- a laundry deflector 5a which inter alia also prevents the moisture now having air flow 2b is guided in the dryer door itself. Rather, it is provided that the air flow 2b is directed into an area below the laundry deflector 5a, by inserting a lint filter unit 6. This will be discussed in more detail.
- the moist and liberated by a lint filter unit 6 of lint 2b air is first passed through an air-air heat exchanger 11, 12, the air line 12 back and forth leading to the housing 1a of the dryer for reasons of simplification is not completely drawn , Likewise, a required for the air-air heat exchanger 11, 12 fan is not shown.
- the heat exchanger 11, 12 assumes the function of a heat sink, so that the moisture is condensed out of the air stream and can be collected with a condensate tray 21.
- the air-air heat exchanger 11, 12 as a heat sink only the condensation of water in the air stream 2b made.
- only the electrically operated heater 18 is then used as the heat source alone.
- the drying chamber 3 When forming the drying chamber 3 as a drum is provided that at the rear bottom, which has the hole arrangements, a pivot bearing is provided for the drum while the front drum 3 is mounted by means of a bearing plate 7.
- the drum 3 rests with a brim on a sliding strip 8 on the bearing plate 7 and is guided or held in this way at its front end. It is also possible to use rollers in a suitable guide instead of the sliding strip and then to use a seal towards the bearing plate.
- the reference numeral 8 stand.
- the drum 3 may be mounted at least in its lower part on rollers 16 which are associated with a roller bearing.
- an evaporator 13 of a heat pump 13, 14, 15 forms a (further) heat sink, so that water condensed out of the air stream at this point can also be collected in the condensate tray 21 already explained.
- the heat pump 13, 14, 15 is further formed so that a vaporized in the evaporator 13 refrigerant is passed via a compressor 14 to a heat source serving as a condenser 15. Because in the condenser 15, the refrigerant liquefies under heat to the process air 2a. The now present in liquid refrigerant is then fed to a throttle valve 17 and passed through this throttle valve back to the evaporator 13, whereby the refrigerant circuit is closed.
- the program control 10 of the dryer 1 causes the execution of the selected dryer programs, wherein in particular sensory feedback, such as a degree of existing humidity and / or the present temperature, in the execution of a drying process, are taken into account.
- feedback is also considered, which relate to a safe operation of the dryer 1.
- it should be provided according to the invention that it is also monitored that the drying door 5 is closed in the dryer mode and that Fluff filter unit 6 is used as intended in a recess 26 provided for this purpose in the region of a front wall of the housing 1a below the laundry deflector 5a.
- the recess 26 and the bearing plate 7 already described can be used. The assignment of the lint filter unit 6 to the recess 26 will be discussed further below.
- Fig. 2 is first shown in the figure part A is a front view of the dryer according to the invention.
- the lint filter unit 6 is used with the dryer door 5 open via an opening area leading to the entire recess area 26.
- the intended use of the lint filter unit 6 in the recess region 26 can be monitored by virtue of the lint filter unit 6 having in an upper area first and second electrodes, designated 30 and 31 in the figure, and first and second reception electrodes, which are shown in FIG 32 and 33 are designated (see also the figure part C), are used.
- first and second electrodes designated 30 and 31 in the figure
- first and second reception electrodes which are shown in FIG 32 and 33 are designated (see also the figure part C)
- At least one on-switch 24 is provided, which can be moved into the on state via a pin-like projection 27 of the dryer door. Since it is usually provided that the at least one switch 24 is assigned to the housing of the dryer 1, a passage opening 28 in the housing 1a (see also the figure part B) is provided for the passage of the pin-like projection 27. It may also be a second switch 24 'with associated pin-like projection 27' and a passage opening 28 'are provided.
- a representation of a lint filter unit 6 is based on Fig. 3 , It is first shown how a lint filter unit 6, for example, can consist solely of an outer lint filter 36.
- the lint filter 36 is provided with an entrance lattice 37 with respect to its upper part.
- the outer lint filter 36 extends in a wedge shape with respect to its entrance lattice and has a front 38 and a rear wall 39, which are provided over the largest part of the respective wall surface with narrow-meshed filter or screen parts.
- the front wall 38 opposite to the rear wall 39 together with the inlet grille 37 can be opened, so that from the dryer removed and unfolded lint filter 36 can be freed by a user of fluff accumulations and washed out. It goes without saying that the front wall 38 is thus held in the operating state in the collapsed state by a EinschnappverInstitut 34 having a release button 34 a.
- the lint filter unit 6 only consists of an outer lint filter 36.
- This can be provided, for example, when the dryer is a condensation dryer is used which has no heat pump, since it is then usually also possible to use an air-to-air heat exchanger, such as 11, 12, solely as a heat sink and where it is possible to Remove air-to-air heat exchanger 11, 12 from the dryer and free under a stream of water from any lint (which has not blocked the lint filter unit with a single outer lint filter).
- two electrodes 30 and 31, which are interconnected with an electrical conductor 30a (cf. Fig. 5A, B, D ), sticking out in a pencil-like manner.
- Electrodes 30 and 31 are in intimate contact with the receiving electrodes 32 and 33 when the lint filter unit 6 is properly inserted in the recess 26 (see also part C of FIG Fig. 2 ). It must be provided, moreover, that with the correct use of the lint filter unit 6 in the recess 26, a sufficient contact pressure between the electrodes 30, 31 and the receiving electrodes 32 and 33 is present, wherein the receiving electrodes 32, 33, the electrodes 30, 31 can also partially embrace. Since, for safety reasons, a maximum permissible safety voltage, which is additionally separated from conductors of the supply network, may be present at the electrodes, the contact material of the electrodes must also be matched to this voltage range, or a noble metal coating is to be provided.
- FIG. A A further illustration of a lint filter unit 6 'takes place with Fig. 4 , Thereafter, it can first be seen from FIG. A that an inner lint filter 46 is still inserted in the outer lint filter 36.
- the inner lint filter 46 is constructed substantially the same as the outer lint filter 36, except that no extra entrance lattice 37 is needed and has a dimension such that it just fits into the outer lint filter.
- the inner lint filter 46 has an axis 45 around which pivoting a front wall 48 with respect to a rear wall 49 when the lint filter 46 taken out is free of lint and is to be rinsed off with a jet of water. Both walls 48 and 49 have over most of their surface sieve or filter cartridges.
- the lint filter unit 6 is formed of an outer lint filter 36 and an inner lint filter 46, it is necessary that the electrodes 30, 31 of the outer lint filter 36 have an interconnecting connection, albeit the inner lint filter 46 is correct is inserted into the outer lint filter 36.
- the purpose of this is an inner bridge which is realized with electrodes 40 and 41 of the inner lint filter, which are conductively connected to one another by a conductor 40a (see the figure part B).
- the electrodes 40 and 41 of the inner lint filter 46 are associated with receiving electrodes 42 and 43 of the outer lint filter 36, which are in turn connected to the electrodes 30 and 31 - each for themselves - the outer lint filter.
- a conductive connection between the electrodes 30 and 31 only comes about when the inner lint filter 36 is correctly inserted into the outer lint filter 46.
- FIG. 5 With the figure parts A to D are schematic representations of the interaction of electrodes of the lint filter area and at least one door switch 24 and the program control 10 of the dryer. 1
- Part A shows how a series connection of the door switch 24 and the electrodes or contacts 30 to 33 via the serving as a bridge conductor 30a.
- the lint filter unit 6 or the outer lint filter 36 is inserted into the recess 26 as intended.
- the door switch 24 is to be understood as a first guide arrangement and the contact connection 30 to 33 is to be understood as a second guide arrangement.
- the program control 10 it can be seen that between the terminals 10a and 10b there is a low-resistance connection by means of the first and the second guide arrangement. Thus, there is a conjunctive link between the first and the second guide arrangement.
- the program controller 10 it is evaluated by the program controller 10 that the dryer door 5 is closed and the lint filter unit 6 is inserted correctly.
- the program selected for the dryer 1 program for the dryer 1 can therefore start. It is provided that in the absence of the named conjunctive connection an optical or acoustic warning signal is issued by a warning buzzer 53 to the operator of the dryer when a dryer program has been selected and started, which just can not be performed because either the door switch is not responding or the lint filter unit has not been properly inserted.
- Part B unlike the case of Part A, it is shown that the lint filter unit 6 is not properly seated in the recess 26. There is thus no conductive or low-resistance connection between the terminals 10a and 10b of the program control 10.
- the program selected for the dryer 1 via the operating unit 9 can therefore not be started, although the door switch 24 is closed when the dryer door 5 is closed.
- the warning buzzer 53 thus responds when the operator has already started a dryer program or intends to do so.
- Part C the case of a lint filter unit 6 'with outer and inner lint screens 36 and 46, respectively, is considered.
- the inner lint filter 46 is actually inserted in the outer lint filter 36. It is therefore necessary that a low-resistance connection between the terminals 10a and 10b of the program controller 10 also takes place in the network branch, which relates to the connection of the electrodes 40, 41 with the receiving electrodes 42, 43 of the outer lint filter 36. This can also be clearly seen from the illustration in FIG.
- first guide arrangement door switch 24 closed
- second guide arrangement inner lint filter 46 is in the outer lint filter 36, the outer lint filter 36 is located in the recess 26
- Part D the direct series connection of at least one door switch 24 and the direct interaction of electrodes of the lint filter unit 6 and the outer lint filter 36 is abandoned. It is rather interrogated by the program control 10 itself, whether the door switch 24 and whether a possibly second door switch 24 'is closed. It goes without saying that the door switch 24 and 24 'contact-based or contactless, as in the DE 10 2006 052 428 A1 , can be performed. Then the program control 10 interrogates separately whether there is a low-resistance connection between the electrodes 30 to 32 and 31 to 33, wherein between the Electrodes 30 and 31 already present a conductive connection 30a.
- a special circuit part 10 ' which is designed so that a nearly constant current, but also pulsable, current flows through the electrodes 32 to 33, when the contact connection via the electrodes 30 - 33 and 31 - 33 sufficiently low impedance is.
- the circuit part 10 ' has a so-called, optionally pulsable, constant current source 51 and a current-sensitive comparator 52.

Description
The invention relates to a dryer with a drying chamber for receiving moist material, with a substantially closed process air duct for passing process air through the drying chamber, with at least one heat source for heating the process air before it enters the drying chamber, and at least one heat sink for cooling the process air after its exit from the drying chamber, and a lint filter unit which can be inserted between the drying chamber and the at least one heat sink in a recess area in the housing of the dryer, accessible when the dryer door is open, and can be removed for cleaning purposes, wherein operation of the dryer can only be triggered if a monitoring device detects at least one closed state of the dryer door.
At present, essentially dryers are offered in commerce as condenser dryers as household appliances, which optionally have a heat pump. In principle, in the case of a condensation dryer, the warm, air-laden air emerging from a drum or a drying chamber is supplied to at least one heat sink, so that the moisture contained in this air is removed to a high degree. Subsequently, this air is supplied as process air again in a virtually closed process cycle at least one heat source, so that dry and heated process air can be introduced back into the drying chamber. The moist air discharged from the drying chamber is, before it is conducted to a heat sink, freed of lint, which in the drying process, in particular, to be dried laundry, free. This purpose, a lint filter unit, which consists in particular in a condensation dryer with heat pump from an outer and an inner screen or is constructed as a double deck screen. The lint filter unit is inserted into a recess in the lower region of a feed opening of the dryer when the dryer door is open or can be removed therefrom for cleaning purposes. Although it is monitored that when a drying process, the dryer door must be closed, but solutions, which is also generally to monitor that the lint filter unit is used, so far in a suitable manner for the standard use not enforced. Further, in a lint screening unit comprising an outer and an inner sieve, there are currently no solutions available to check that the inner sieve is also inside the outer sieve. If a lint filter unit is not used as intended, the cooling fins of a heat sink can become clogged with lint, which has an unfavorable effect on the efficiency of the dryer. In addition, it is not possible for condensation dryers to be able to expand a heat exchanger in the region of the condenser at all for cleaning purposes.

After all, it is an object of the invention to further develop a dryer of the type mentioned above, that the correct use of a lint filter, which can be used only when the dryer door is open, is reliably monitored, with the monitoring of the closed state of the dryer door should be done with.
This object is achieved in a dryer according to the preamble of the independent claim by the characterizing features and further developed by dependent claims, which are based on this independent claim.
As a preferred development is defined that the dryer is a household appliance, which is designed in particular as a tumble dryer or as a washer-dryer.
The invention thus relates to a dryer with a drying chamber for receiving moist material, such as laundry, with a substantially closed process air duct for passing process air through the drying chamber, with at least one heat source for heating the process air before it enters the drying chamber, and at least one heat sink for cooling the process air after its exit from the drying chamber, and a lint filter unit which can be inserted between the drying chamber and the at least one heat sink in a recess area in the housing of the dryer - accessible when the dryer door is open and removable for cleaning purposes Operation of the dryer can only be triggered when a monitoring device detects at least one closed state of the dryer door, wherein the monitoring device for monitoring the closed state of the dryer door one of the dryer door associated, first Guiding arrangement and that for a proper insertion of the lint filter unit in the recess portion of a lint filter unit associated second guide arrangement is provided, the first and the second guide assembly are conjunctively linked together and further provided that the second guide arrangement by the lint filter unit associated, first and second electrodes, which are also interconnected, which are in contact with the housing, the first and second receiving electrodes, can be formed, wherein a sufficiently low-resistance connection between electrodes and receiving electrodes with correct insertion of the lint filter unit in the recess area is reachable.
With the invention, therefore, the correct use of a lint filter in the recess portion of the housing of the dryer, especially starting at the lower portion of the feed opening for drying material, such as laundry, be detected reliably and reliably in the closing of the dryer door, as the Both Leitanordnungen conjunctively, ie in the sense of an AND function, are linked together. By using electrodes that are in contact with each other when the lint filter unit is properly used, a robust and simple solution is created which is extremely accurate. An inaccuracy area, as in a contactless solution, is excluded. Incorrect use of a lint filter unit will result in insufficient contact, which inevitably lacks the feature of low impedance. The electrodes of the second guide arrangement therefore form a robust contact system.
It has proved to be advantageous that the first guide arrangement is formed by an on-switch, which is located in the housing of the dryer and is displaceable by a pin-like projection of the dryer door in the on state, wherein with the dryer door closed the pin-like projection into an opening of the housing is insertable, and wherein in particular the first guide arrangement can also be formed by two Einschalter. This guide arrangement formed in this way is simple to manufacture and can easily be tested in a service operation with respect to a possibly present disturbance, since the pin-like projection can be imitated directly for test purposes.
It is provided that in the absence of a proper insertion of the lint filter unit into the recess or an unsuccessful closing of the dryer door at the start of a dryer program, an optical or an acoustic signal is triggered by a signal generator. This gives the operator clues to check once again whether the lint filter unit is correctly inserted or that the dryer door is not properly closed.
It is possible that the lint filter unit consists of a simple sieve. It is a lint filter, which is referred to in other context than the outer plug-in screen.
Furthermore, it is also possible that the lint filter unit consists of a Doppelstecksieb and thereby has an inner and an outer plug filter.
Then, it is provided that the second guide arrangement is provided by electrodes of the outer lint filter which are in contact with receiving electrodes in the housing of the dryer, and by electrodes which are also connected to one another, of the inner lint filter which is in contact with receiving electrodes the outer lint filter is formed, wherein a sufficiently low-resistance connection between the electrodes and the receiving electrodes can be achieved with correct insertion of the outer lint filter in the recess area and the inner lint filter in the outer lint filter. Once again, there is the advantage that a robust and simple solution is created by the use of electrodes which are in contact with one another when the lint filter unit is used correctly. An incorrect use of the outer lint filter with respect to the associated recess or incorrect use of the inner lint filter in the outer lint filter then leads in each case to an insufficient contact, which inevitably lacks the feature of low impedance. Again, this is a robust contact system. Thus, it can be assumed that the sources of error that either that it is forgotten to use the inner plug-in screen within the outer plug-in, so that it is forgotten to use belonging to the inner plug-in and the outer plug-in, are taken into account.
For the determination of a sufficiently low-resistance state of the second guide arrangement, it has proven to be advantageous that one, in particular electrically isolated, constant current source is used and only when a minimum current value detectable by a comparator is detected is the sufficiently low-resistance state.
It can prove to be advantageous that at least one of the, in particular second, guide arrangements is checked by a separate control part of the program control of the dryer, in particular with regard to the pending low resistance is checked. It can also prove to be advantageous that this test is not continuous, but only at certain, possibly also periodic or non-periodic, polling times is made.
The dryer according to the invention is preferably a domestic appliance, in particular in the form of a tumble dryer or a washer-dryer (washing machine combined with a tumble dryer).
Although the most common application is to use a condenser dryer with or without a heat pump as the tumble dryer, the core of the invention, which relates to the simultaneous detection of an installed lint screening unit and closure of the dryer door, is not a closed loop condenser dryer limited as such, as well as exhaust air dryer may be provided for special reasons with a lint filter or exhaust fans may be provided with a heat pump, which makes the use of a lint filter unit required.
As far as the invention is still defined on the basis of the claims cited at the end of the following description of the exemplary embodiments, it should be understood that a chain of references of dependent claims referred to above with respect to the parent claim should not be regarded as limiting in relation to the teaching as a whole is, as far as other combinations of features are found to be suitable and executable from the perspective of the skilled person.

It can be provided that the moist and liberated by a
When forming the drying
If the dryer 1 is equipped with a heat pump, an
The control of the dryer 1 via a

As shown, when the lint filter unit 6 'is formed of an
Part A shows how a series connection of the
In Part B, unlike the case of Part A, it is shown that the
In Part C, the case of a lint filter unit 6 'with outer and inner lint screens 36 and 46, respectively, is considered. Thus, it can be monitored that the
