  • the arm and leg portions 122, 124 extend the coverage of the absorbent core along the leg openings 24, 26, which enhances the prevention or at least the reduction of leakage of fluid (e.g., urine) secreted by the wearer through areas adjacent the legs of the wearer.

  • the large coverage provided by the absorbent core 50 in specific embodiments is such that the ratio of surface area of the absorbent core to the total surface area of the pant 10, 90, 110, measured as the pant 10, 90, 110 is in the open condition ( FIGS. 2 and 7 ), is of at least about 50%. In certain embodiments, that ratio is greater than about 55%.

Claims (10)

  1. Produit absorbant jetable (10) s'étendant le long d'une dimension longitudinale et d'une dimension de largeur, le produit absorbant comprenant :
    une feuille arrière (48) ;
    une feuille supérieure (44) recouvrant ladite feuille arrière ;
    une âme absorbante (50) disposée entre ladite feuille arrière et ladite feuille supérieure pour absorber et retenir du fluide sécrété par un porteur du produit absorbant ; et
    une couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69) adjacente à ladite feuille arrière (48) et définissant des première et deuxième ouvertures de jambe profilées (24, 26) du produit absorbant adaptées pour s'ajuster autour des jambes respectives du porteur du produit absorbant,
    dans lequel une couche barrière imperméable (58) est disposée entre ladite âme absorbante (50) et ladite feuille arrière (48) et est adaptée pour empêcher l'écoulement de fluide de ladite âme absorbante vers ladite première couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle ;
    dans lequel la feuille arrière (48), la couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69) et la couche barrière imperméable (58) sont des éléments séparés ; la couche barrière (58) étant fixée à la feuille arrière (48) et à la couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69) ;
    caractérisé en ce que
    ladite feuille arrière (48) comprend deux sections de feuille arrière (48a, 48b) espacées l'une de l'autre dans la dimension longitudinale du produit absorbant, ladite couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69) s'étendant longitudinalement entre lesdites deux sections de feuille arrière (48a, 48b).
  2. Produit absorbant jetable (90) s'étendant le long d'une dimension longitudinale et d'une dimension de largeur, le produit absorbant comprenant :
    une feuille arrière (48) ;
    une feuille supérieure (44) recouvrant ladite feuille arrière ;
    une âme absorbante (50) disposée entre ladite feuille arrière et ladite feuille supérieure pour absorber et retenir du fluide sécrété par un porteur du produit absorbant ; et
    des première et deuxième couches de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69a, 69b) espacées l'une de l'autre dans une direction latérale ; chaque couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69a, 69b) définissant une ouverture de jambe profilée correspondante (24, 26) du produit absorbant adaptée pour s'ajuster autour des jambes respectives du porteur du produit absorbant,
    dans lequel une couche barrière imperméable (58) est disposée entre ladite âme absorbante (50) et ladite feuille arrière (48) et est adaptée pour empêcher l'écoulement de fluide de ladite âme absorbante vers ladite première couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle ;
    dans lequel la feuille arrière (48), les première et deuxième couches de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69a, 69b) et la couche barrière imperméable (58) sont des éléments séparés ; la couche barrière (58) étant fixée à la feuille arrière (48) et aux première et deuxième couches de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69a, 69b) ;
    caractérisé en ce que
    ladite feuille arrière (48) comprend deux sections de feuille arrière (48a, 48b) espacées l'une de l'autre dans la dimension longitudinale du produit absorbant et fixées aux première et deuxième couches de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69a, 69b), ladite première couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69) s'étendant longitudinalement entre lesdites deux sections de feuille arrière (48a, 48b).
  3. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90) selon la revendication 1 ou 2, comprenant en outre :
    des première et deuxième bandes élastiques (76, 78) disposées aux extrémités longitudinales respectives (14, 12) du produit absorbant et adaptées pour se conformer autour de la taille du porteur du produit absorbant.
  4. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel ladite feuille arrière (48) présente des première et deuxième extrémités longitudinales (14, 12), chacune pliée sur elle-même de manière à enfermer respectivement lesdites première et deuxième bandes élastiques (76, 78).
  5. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, comprenant en outre une paire de fils élastiques (73) espacés l'un de l'autre dans la dimension de largeur du produit absorbant, fixés à ladite couche barrière (58), et présentant une longueur inférieure à la longueur de ladite âme absorbante (50).
  6. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90, 110) selon la revendication 5, dans lequel lesdits fils élastiques (73) ne sont pas en contact avec ladite première couche de matériau extensible de manière multidirectionnelle (69).
  7. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90, 110) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, dans lequel ladite feuille supérieure (44) est longitudinalement plus courte que la longueur totale du produit absorbant.
  8. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90, 110) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 6 et 7, dans lequel lesdits fils élastiques (73) sont situés dans une zone d'entrejambe du produit absorbant jetable.
  9. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90, 110) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, dans lequel ladite âme absorbante (50) comprend une paire de parties de bras (122) et une paire de parties de jambe (124), lesdites parties de bras et de jambe faisant saillie latéralement à partir d'une partie centrale (120) de ladite âme absorbante (50).
  10. Produit absorbant jetable (10, 90, 110) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, dans lequel :
    lesdites feuille supérieur (44) et feuille arrière (48) définissent conjointement une face intérieure (40) dudit produit absorbant jetable adaptée pour faire face au corps du porteur pendant l'utilisation, et une face extérieure (42) de celui-ci adaptée pour être opposée au porteur pendant l'utilisation,
    ladite face intérieure présente une surface totale, et
    ladite âme absorbante (50) occupe une surface égale ou supérieure à environ 50 % de ladite surface totale de ladite face intérieure (40).
