- the spacers include a guide tip to facilitate insertion of the connector on the motherboard.
- a fixing tip is attached to each spacer to serve as a mounting bracket to the daughter board.
- a connector with three spacers therefore comprises, in particular, in addition to the spacers, two longitudinal members, three attachment ends, 4 insulators.
- An object of the invention is to design a connector whose production cost is lower, and which retains, for the user, properties and operation substantially equivalent to those of the connector of the prior art described above.

- the second ends 66 of the contacts 43 are welded to the circuits (not shown) of FIG. the daughter card 5.
- the plug 45 formed by the connector 7 is plugged into the base 21 of the motherboard 3 in the direction
- the first end 61 of each contact 43 of the connector 7 enters a corresponding female contact 29 of the base 21.
- the protective walls 47 protect the first ends 61, especially in case of impact of the connector 7 with a surface (not shown), and in all directions of relative movement of the connector 7 and said surface.
- the circuits of the daughter board 5 are connected to those of the motherboard 3 via the contacts 43 of the connector 7 and the female contacts 29 of the base 21.
- the connector 7 comprises fewer pieces than a connector of the prior art.
- the connector 7, compared to the connector with three spacers described in the preamble of this document, does not include longitudinal members, no separate attachment end spacers, and only two insulators instead of four for the same number of 43 contacts and a substantially identical arrangement of the contacts 43 in the insulators 33, 35.
- the connector 7 therefore comprises seven parts less than the equivalent connector of the prior art. Thus, the production cost of the connector 7 is lower.
- the mounting of the connector 7 on the daughter card 5 is facilitated for the user, because there are no more additional tips to be fixed on the side members.
- the connector 7 retains, for the user, properties and operation substantially equivalent to those of the connector of the prior art.
- the connector 7 comprises only one insulator, for example the insulator 33, and a single fastening device, for example the fixing device 39.
- the insulator 33 is modified to receive all contacts 43.
- the connector 7 comprises a single fixing device 39 and two insulators 33, 35.
- the connector 7 has only two fasteners, for example the fixing devices 37 and 41, and two insulators similar to those shown in FIG. figure 2 .
- the first ends 61 of the contacts 43 are of the female type and the contacts 29 of the base 21 are of the male type.
- the guide ends 69 are of the female type and the housings 31 of the base 21 are replaced by male-type endpieces cooperating with the guide ends 69.
- the attachment tips 65 are modified to receive a daughter card 5 arranged parallel to the motherboard 3, and not perpendicularly as in the example shown.
- the shape of the second ends 63 of the contacts 43 is modified accordingly.
