Bei einer entsprechenden Anordnung der Lüftungskanäle 16 und der Wandungsabschnitte 20 im Deckel 10 ergibt sich so die Möglichkeit, je nach Aufsatz des Deckels 10 auf den Behälter 4 in der Dichtlage oder der Verschlusslage den Innenraum des Behälters 4 durch die Belüftungsöffnungen 14 belüften zu können oder nicht. Während die Anordnung der Belüftungsöffnungen 14a/14b nicht spiegelsymmetrisch ist zu den Belüftungsöffnungen 14a'/14b' bei einer Spiegelung über die verbindende Linie 18, sind die Belüftungsöffnungen 14a, 14a' jedoch zur Querachse 22 spiegelsymmetrisch zu den Belüftungsöffnungen 14b, 14b' positioniert.In Fig. 3 is a view of a container 4 shown obliquely from above.   3. Storage box (2) according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the ventilation openings (14) have a non-round shape.
  4. Storage box (2) according to claim 3, characterised in that the longitudinal axes of the ventilation openings (14) extend in the horizontal direction.
  5. Storage box (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the upper peripheral rim (8) has a non-round shape, whereby the lid (10) can only be placed on the container (4) in certain predetermined form-fitting positions.
  6. Storage box (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the lid (10) can be latched to the container (4) by means of latching connections and/or can be closed by closures.

Storage box (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that a plurality of ventilation openings (14) are arranged on one side of the peripheral side wall (6) in a manner spaced apart from one another in the horizontal direction, and the ventilation openings (14) have a smaller width than the portions of the side wall (6) therebetween.
  8.
