Description

Plugs are known which have a cable outlet which is positioned on the axis of the plug-in direction. Such a connector is for example from the DE 10 2006 010 279 A1 known. The same is often true for connection sockets with attached cable, such a socket, for example, the EP 1 336 225 B1 can be seen. In the following, both plugs and sockets will be summarized under the term connectors.

Known are so-called RJ45 connectors, which are used in particular in data and telecommunications technology, for example for the production of Ethernet connections.

For use in industrial environments occasionally connectors with a cable outlet are offered, which is bent at an angle of 90 ° to the axis of the plug-in direction. To produce such cable outlets, the cables which protrude from the connector housing are bent in the desired direction and held in this position by molding or by a mechanical cable guide sleeve. However, when turning, the cable is often kinked, resulting in a deterioration in the transmission characteristics of the cable and a reduction in reliability.

Als weiterer Stand der Technik werden die DE 10 2008 057 554 B3 und die DE 10 2009 053 364 B3 genannt.As a further prior art, the DE 10 2008 057 554 B3 and the DE 10 2009 053 364 B3 called.

The object of the invention is to provide a cable guide for a connector that allows different exit directions of the cable without kinking the cable.

The object is achieved by a connector with the features of claim 1.

Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

The connector according to the invention for a plurality of wires having data and / or telecommunications cable with a contact carrier, the connector contacts for a plug connection and electrically connected to these connector contacts connection contacts, which may be formed, for example, as insulation displacement contacts, for the wires of the cable, and with a charging piece, which has receptacles for the wires, wherein upon assembly of the contact carrier and the charging piece, the electrically conductive contact between the arranged in the receptacles wires and the connector contacts can be produced, characterized in that a cable sleeve is disposed on the connector, which has a first part and a second part, wherein the first part has a first longitudinal axis and the second part has a second longitudinal axis, wherein the first part relative to, in particular at, the connector in at least two different around the first L The second part can be fixed relative to the, in particular at the first part in at least two different rotated about a rotation axis position and wherein the first longitudinal axis and the second longitudinal axis at least in one of the different fixed positions of the cable sleeve in are arranged at an angle different from 0 ° to each other. This makes it possible that upon rotation of the first part against the connector about the first longitudinal axis and upon rotation of the second part relative to the first part about an axis of rotation, the direction of the cable outlet is variable. Furthermore, the two-piece allows configured cable sleeve with two mutually rotatable parts, that the sheath of the multi-core cable already in the rear, in this case the second part of the cable sleeve can end, so that only the wires are guided from the second part through the first part to the connector and thereby kinking of the cable, which can lead to a deterioration of the transmission properties of the line is avoided. It should be emphasized that a connector according to the present invention is understood to mean both a plug and a socket.

A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the first part has a first abutment surface for abutment with the second part and that the second part has a second abutment surface for abutment with the first part, the first abutment surface being at a first angle between 0 ° and 90 ° Is arranged to the first longitudinal axis and wherein the second bearing surface is arranged at a second angle between 0 ° and 90 ° to the second longitudinal axis. In other words, the second part facing the end of the first part and the first part facing the end of the second part are chamfered so that when juxtaposing the facing ends in different relative to each other twisted positions different ways of changing direction of the cable outlet are given. In particular, the axis of rotation runs perpendicular to the first contact surface and / or to the second contact surface.

Preferably, the first angle and / or the second angle between 30 ° and 60 °, more preferably about 45 °. As a result, in particular a cable outlet at an angle of 90 ° in different directions, for example, to the right or to the left, allows.

Preferably, the first part is fixable to the connector in four different positions rotated about the first longitudinal axis to allow a change of direction in the four spatial directions transverse to the direction of insertion.

Preferably, the first part at its end facing the connector has a cylindrical portion with a cross section with at least two-fold rotational axis, preferably with a substantially square cross section. As a result, in a structurally particularly simple manner, a fixation in different positions rotated about the first longitudinal axis is made possible. Under an n-fold rotation axis, where n is a natural number greater than 1, an axis of rotation is to be understood, around which the cross section can be rotated and brought into coincidence with itself when rotated by 360 ° / n.

Advantageously, the first part is fixable to the connector by means of a latching connection. This allows a particularly simple fixation.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the second part can be fixed to the first part in four to twelve, preferably eight, different positions rotated about the axis of rotation. In combination with four different twisted about the first longitudinal axis positions between the first part and the connector, a total of 32 possible forms of cable outlet, so that in a simple way flexible different departure directions are made possible, yet the use of the connector even at high packing density , for example in so-called multiport sockets.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, one of the two parts facing at the other of the two parts end has a cylindrical portion with an outer or inner contour with at least zweizähliger axis of rotation, preferably the outer or inner contour of a polygon, in particular an octagon, and another of the two parts at its one of the two parts facing the end of a cylindrical portion of the one of the two parts complementary cylindrical portion. In this way, a compact rotation and fixation in the desired position is possible.

A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that at least one of the two parts has two mutually pivotable about a pivot axis, which in particular runs parallel to the second longitudinal axis, pivotable elements. This makes it possible that the corresponding part can be subsequently attached to the wires or the sheath. If, for example, the second part has two elements pivotable relative to one another about a pivot axis, it is possible for the second part to be subsequently secured around the wires and the end of the casing after the wires have been passed through the first part and the wires of the cable are fastened in the loading piece ,

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, each of the two elements has a partial section of the cylindrical section. The two elements may be formed, for example, as half shells.

The two elements can in particular be made of metal in order to enable a shielding effect.

Particularly preferably, the two elements can be connected by means of a latching connection, which allows easy attachment.

Advantageously, the two elements are pivotally connected to each other via a pin. This makes it possible, in particular, to produce the two elements from a material which is not or hardly elastically elastic.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, one of the two parts has an outwardly extending collar and the other of the two parts has an inwardly extending collar to allow in this way an axial fixation of the two parts against each other in a compact design.

Preferably, the cable guide sleeve, in particular the second part of the cable guide sleeve, a strain relief, for example in the form of a strain relief claw to avoid damage to the electrical contact between the wires of the cable and the connector in a tensile load.

An advantageous development of the invention provides that the cable guide sleeve is formed electrically conductive to act as a screen can.

Advantageously, the cable guide sleeve, in particular the second part of the cable guide sleeve, a Schirmabnahmefeder on to allow connection of the shield of the cable with the cable guide sleeve. The arrangement of Schirmabnahmefeder already in the second part of the cable guide sleeve allows a stripping of the cable and a removal of the cable shield already in the second part, so that only the wires and, if present, the pair screen must be guided into the first part and a kinking of the cable sheath can be avoided.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cable guide sleeve, in particular the first part of the cable guide sleeve, a Schirmübergabefeder on to allow connection of the shield of the male connector with the cable guide sleeve.

The FIGS. 1 to 18 show various views of an embodiment of a connector 10 and various components of the connector 10, wherein not all reference numerals are given in all figures for clarity.

As in particular in the FIGS. 17 and 18 recognizable, the connector 10 has a contact carrier 12 and a charging piece 16, wherein the contact carrier 12 a plurality of connector contacts 13 and the connector contacts 13 via connecting lines, which are arranged in or on a printed circuit board 14, electrically conductive connection contacts 15 which, for example, as Cutting clamp contacts are formed. The connector 10 is designed as a plug. The connector contacts 13 thus provide when plugged into a socket plug the electrically conductive connection to the jack. The connection contacts 15 are used to produce an electrically conductive connection to cores 102 of a cable 100, as described in more detail below.

The charging piece 16, which in particular in the FIGS. 11 to 14 can be seen in detail, has a plurality of receptacles 17, wherein in each of the receptacles 17 a wire 102 of the cable 100 can be inserted. The charging piece 16 has receptacles 17 on the one hand grooves 17a, which are open to one side, and on the other hand, bushings 17b, in which the wires 102 are inserted from one end. The grooves 17a are arranged in a plane which is arranged offset parallel to a plane in which the bushings 17b are arranged. To connect the cable 100 to the charging piece, the cable sheath is removed and the cores 102 are inserted into the receivers 17, in particular into the slots 17a and the lead-throughs 17b. Each of the receptacles 17 is traversed by a slot 18 in which engage when placing the charging piece 16 on the contact carrier 12 designed as insulation displacement contacts terminal contacts 15 while the electrically conductive contact between the arranged in the receptacles 17 wires 102 and the Connect connector 13. As in particular in Figures 12 and 1 recognizes the loading piece 16 with the contact carrier 12. For this purpose, the charging piece 16 has two latching projections 19, which engage on the housing of the contact carrier 12 arranged recesses 12a.

On the connector 10, in particular on the contact carrier 12, a locking lever 11 may be arranged for securing the plugged into a socket connector 10.

At the connector 10, a cable sleeve 20 is arranged (see, in particular Fig. 1 to 5 ), which has a first part 30 and a second part 40. The first part 30 has a plug connector 10 facing the front end 30 a and the second part 40 facing the rear end 30 b, while the second part 40 a the first part 30 facing the front End 40a and a first part 30 facing away from the rear end 40b. The first part 30 has a first longitudinal axis 11. The second part 40 has a second longitudinal axis 12.

Fig. 11 bis 14). The first part 30 can be fixed in a plurality of positions rotated about the first longitudinal axis 11 on the plug connector 10 (cf. FIGS. 1 to 5 ). The first part 30 has for fixing to the connector 10 at its front end 30a a first cylindrical portion 31 (see, in particular Fig. 7 to 8 ), which has a substantially square cross-section and in particular is formed so symmetrical that it can be fixed in each case by 90 ° in four different positions relative to the connector 10 fixed to the connector 10 (see. Fig. 11 to 14 ). As in particular in FIG. 12 can be arranged for fixing to the first cylindrical portion 31 of the first part 30 in each of the four side surfaces of the cylindrical portion 31 with a square cross-section a latching opening 31a, which can engage in the loading piece 16 arranged latching projections 19a for producing the latching connection.

The first part 30 has in the region of its rear end 30b a first contact surface 33 for engagement with the second part 40, which at a first angle α1 between 0 ° and 90 °, for example at an angle α1 of 45 °, to the first longitudinal axis eleventh is arranged (see, in particular FIG. 9 ). In other words, the rear end 30b is chamfered against the first longitudinal axis 11. By rotating the first part 30 relative to the loading piece 16, a variation of the outgoing direction defined by the first contact surface 33 can thus be made possible.

The wires 102 of the cable 100 to be connected are inserted through the rear end 30 b in the first part 30, led out through the front end 30 a of the first part 30 and secured in the charging piece 16. The sheath of the cable 100 ends before the first part 30 and is not introduced into the first part 30. After inserting the wires 102 in the charging piece 16, the first part 30 can be fixed in the desired relative orientation to the charging piece 16 on the charging piece 16 by means of the latching connection (see FIG. 15 ).

For connection to the second part 40, the first part 30 has a second cylindrical portion 32 arranged in the region of the rear end 30b, which has the outer contour of a polygon, in this case an octagon. At the second part 40 facing the end of the second cylindrical portion 32, an outwardly facing collar 34 is arranged, which is in particular formed circumferentially (see, in particular FIGS. 7 to 10 ). While the polygon contour of the second cylindrical portion 32 constitutes an anti-rotation between the first part 30 and the second part 40, the collar 34 forms a securing of the first part 30 and the second part 40 in the axial direction.

Fig. 17). The second part 40, which in particular in FIG. 6 is shown, has a first part 30 facing the second bearing surface 41, which is arranged at a second angle α2 between 0 ° and 90 °, in particular at an angle of 45 ° to the second longitudinal axis 12 (see. Fig. 17 ). In other words, the first part 30 facing the front end 40a is chamfered against the second longitudinal axis 12, in particular at an angle of 45 °. In the region of the front end 40a, the second part 40 has a second contact surface 41, which when mounting the second part 40 on the first part 30 abuts against the first contact surface 33.

The second part 40 can be fixed to the first part 30 in a plurality of positions rotated about an axis of rotation A, in particular in eight different positions (cf. FIGS. 1 to 5 ). The axis of rotation A is in particular aligned substantially perpendicular to the first contact surface 33 and the second contact surface 41. For fixing the second part 40 to the first part 30, the second part 40 has a cylindrical portion 42 with an inner contour of a quadrilateral, mainly an octagon, on (s. Fig. 6 ), which comes into contact with the second cylindrical portion 32 when the second part 40 is fastened to the first part 30. The contour of the octagon allows relative positioning between the first part 30 and the second part 40, in particular in eight different positions. Such a contour is particularly robust and torsionally stable when the two parts 30, 40 are made of metal.

Fig. 17 und 18). The second part 40 has in the region of its front end 40a an inwardly projecting collar 43, which engages upon attachment of the second part 40 on the first part 30 behind the collar 34 of the first part 30 and thus allows fixation in the axial direction (s , FIGS. 17 and 18 ). In the present case, the cylindrical portion 42 is formed in particular on the collar 43.

The first part 30 is preferably formed in one piece. In order to be able to attach the second part 40 to the first part 30, the second part 40 has, in one embodiment, two elements 44, 45 pivotable relative to one another about a pivot connection. The axis of the pivot connection runs in particular parallel to the second longitudinal axis 12. The pivotal connection is formed, for example, by a hinge, which in one embodiment has a through opening 44a arranged on the first element 44 and a pin 45a guided on the second element 45 through the through opening 44a. The two elements 44, 45 may be formed as half-shells, which abut each other in particular at an axial section, which includes the second longitudinal axis 12. Such a two-part second part 40 makes it possible to first push through the cable 100 with the wires 102 through the first part 30, to fasten it to the charging piece 16 and then to lay the second part 40 over the cable 100. In addition, a wide opening of the two elements 44, 45 against each other is possible around the provided by the pin 45a pivoting, which on the one hand facilitates the insertion of the cable 100, but on the other hand also allows a highly structured contour of the cylindrical portion 42 of the second part 40, the one rotationally stable connection to the corresponding cylindrical portion 32 of the first part 30 allows.

The two elements 44, 45 are fixed in one embodiment by a latching connection with each other. For this purpose, for example, a latching hook 44b is arranged on the first element 44, which latches behind a latching projection which is arranged on the second element 45. The two elements 44, 45 may be made of metal.

In order to guide the cable outlet in the desired direction, the second part 40 is rotated about the axis of rotation A in the desired position, the two elements 44, 45 against each other, so that the cylindrical portion 42 into engagement with the second cylindrical portion 32 of first Part 30 comes and the latching connection of the second part 40 is locked together.

FIG. 1 shows the connector 10 with a cable outlet at an angle of 90 ° upwards, FIG. 3 shows the connector 10 with the cable outlet to the rear in extension of the insertion direction, FIG. 4 shows the connector with the cable outlet at 45 ° to the bottom left and FIG. 5 shows the connector 10 with the cable outlet at 45 ° to the top right. Overall, due to the variable attachment possibility of the first part 30 relative to the connector 10 and the second part 40 relative to the first part 30, 32 different cable outlet options. Apart from the case in which the cable outlet extends rearwardly in extension of the insertion direction, wherein the first longitudinal axis 11 is parallel to the second longitudinal axis 12, the first longitudinal axis 11 and the second longitudinal axis 12 are at an angle different from 0 ° to each other.

The cable sleeve 20 may in one embodiment have a strain relief claw 28, which is fastened, for example, to the second part 40 and engages by means of locking teeth 29 behind a corresponding locking edge 49, which is arranged on the second part 40 (see in particular Figures 1 and 2 ). The sheathing of the cable 100 is thus fixed and relieved against train.

In one embodiment, the cable sleeve 20 may be made of electrically conductive material and act as a shield. The cable sleeve 20 ideally comprises a Schirmabnahmefeder 27 a, which is arranged on the second part 40, for removing the shield from the cable 100 and preferably a Schirmübergabefeder 27 b, which on the first part 30 or alternatively as in FIGS. 17 and 18 shown on the contact carrier 12 of the connector 10 may be arranged for the transfer of the screen from the cable sleeve 20 to the connector 10 (see. FIGS. 17 and 18 ). The Schirmabnahmefeder 27 a is arranged in particular within the second part 40 and may be formed as a curved leaf spring, which advantageously applies to the cable 100. The arrangement of Schirmabnahmfeder 27a in the second part 40 allows the removal of the insulation and the cable shield of the cable 100 already in the second part, so that a kinking of the insulation and the cable shield at the transition of the cable 100 from the second part 40 into the first part 30th can be avoided.

It should be noted when connecting the cable 100 that the sheathing of the cable 100 extends into the second part 40, but ends there and is not continued into the first part 30, so that the cable sleeve 20 makes it possible to connect the wires 102 bend without deteriorating by a buckling of the cable sheath, the transmission properties of the line.
