- the groove 2receiving the upper end of the flashing 6 is provided with upper and lower centering ribs 7, which keep the upper end of the flashing 6 in the middle of the groove 2, as will more clearly appear from Fig. 3.
- the groove 2 Before pushing the flashing 6 into the groove 2, as shown by arrow A in, Fig. 2, the groove 2 should be filled with a sealing compound 8. Due to the centering ribs 7 it will also be ensured that the sealing compound 8 is uniformly distributed at both sides of the flashing 6 in the groove 2.
- Fixing of the connecting piece can for instance be carried out by means of screws to a bottom plate 10 of the pie duct the portion la of hard plastics of the connecting piece 1, by using a rubber spacer 11 between the head of the screw 9 and the connecting piece 1 in order to provide a sufficient seal.
