Abstract

Description

Books, booklets or blocks are known in various configurations, which may be adapted to the particular intended use. The individual sheets can be as thin as possible in order to be able to reproduce large amounts of text in a small-format and thin book. For small children books are known in which the individual pages are washable, are particularly kink-resistant or flexible. Especially among artists, designers or architects paper sheets are popular, which allow a simple Scribbeln and subsequent coloring with marker pens. The marker pens contain color pigments which are dissolved in a suitable solvent and enable a large-area and uniform application of paint. Since the colored solvent is relatively liquid, there is often the danger that the color of a marker pen applied on one side of the sheet penetrates through the sheet to the other side and the back side of the sheet is likewise colored and thus unusable. In the case of particularly intensive marker pens or in the case of an intensive application of color with a marker pen, the application of paint could even penetrate beyond the back of the sheet and, for example, also stain an underlying sheet or substrate, which is undesirable in most cases.

There are known paper sheets that have a coating that prevent penetration of the paint. Leaves which, on the one hand, absorb well the color of a felt-tip pen or pencil as well as the color application of a marker pen and, due to the coating, prevent penetration of the inking onto the back of the sheet, are therefore particularly suitable for the purpose described above.

To be easily carried and used, book blocks with a format of up to about A4 are often perceived as pleasant. A scribble or picture is then limited to this format. A larger format can only be achieved by juxtaposing several sheets, which must first be separated from one another and then arranged next to each other.

It is therefore regarded as an object of the inventive concept to design a book block in such a way that it is suitable for scribbles and the use of marker pens, is as portable as possible and nevertheless allows images of the largest possible size.

This object is achieved in that each sheet is folded and folded along a folded edge, that two of the folded edge opposite leaf edges of the folded sheet are arranged one above the other and connected to each other and that the stacked sheets along these edges are connected. According to an advantageous embodiment of the inventive concept, it is provided that the coating of the folded sheets is arranged in each case on each leaf inside. The external surface is easily accessible and can be used for scribbling and coloring. A penetration of the color components on the inner back of the colored leaves or even on the adjoining area of the folded sheet is prevented by the coating. In addition, a coating can be selected which, after the single-sided application to the sheet, impedes or prevents labeling, painting or coloring of the coated surface, since this surface is arranged on the inside and therefore not readily accessible.

In order to facilitate tracing and, in particular, coloring of documents, it is provided that the sheets are translucent, so that an image arranged under the sheet shines through. The leaves are preferably semi-transparent and white, which is often considered to be comfortable and suitable for this purpose.

To be sufficiently flexible, the leaves have a basis weight of less than 120 g / m ² , preferably less than 90 g / m ² . It is conceivable that very thin sheets have a basis weight of less than 60 g / m ² and, for example, between 25 g / m ² and 19 g / m ² . A book block containing such thin sheets can have a large number of sheets without being excessively thick.

The sheets may be made of paper or of a suitable plastic material, or of a sufficiently ink-absorbing and simultaneously impact-resistant plastic film. Instead of a coating, in particular in the case of sheets, plastic materials may also be provided with suitable additives in the production of the plastic sheets or else a subsequent impregnation with suitable fluids. For sheets of a suitable plastic material, values for the basis weight which are more than 120 g / m 2 or less than 20 g / m 2 may also be appropriate.
