Description

The present invention relates to a contact-protected connector according to the preamble of claim 1.

The present invention particularly relates to a contact protected coaxial connector. Furthermore, the invention relates to a round-type connector and a coaxial F2undsteckverbinder forming this and a coaxial hCabelbuchse for receiving the circular connector.

In various applications, and in particular in Koaxialsteckverl5indern there is a particular need to protect the contacts, here the coaxial contacts of the connector from damage.

In addition to coaxial connectors, connector-protected connector systems are already being used in the field of automotive applications and, in particular, in the field of airbag connectors.

That's how it shows EP 1 184 232 A2 a contact protected connector system of a socket with contacts to be protected and a plug-in connector in the connector, wherein the contact protection is determined by a geometric condition over the height of the connector.

Ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel eines kontaktgeschützten Steckverbinders offenbart die US 6.402.540 B1 .Another embodiment of a contact-protected connector discloses the US 6,402,540 B1 ,

There also a contact protection against shovel-like immersion is shown, which is achieved via inserted into the contact socket sufficiently high coding ribs.

The length of the contacts is tuned to the length of the contact socket so that even when scoop-like immersion of the connector into the socket they are not affected and thus can not be damaged.

In multi-pole coaxial connectors, which are designed in particular as designed with respect to the central center axis symmetrical multipole connector, there is a particular need in terms of contact protection and security.
Coaxial contacts are known to be sensitive to mechanical damage and require special fitting accuracy when coaxial connectors and coaxial connectors are brought into contact with each other.
In so-called ohm connectors, however, there is a risk that connector and socket are pushed together when mating in an unscheduled position possibly in this position, the connector also still rotates relative to the socket and thus damage the coaxial contacts.
A particular difficulty arises in cases when the connector has to be inserted so to speak "blind" and the operator has to insert the plug so to speak in a hidden position in the corresponding socket.
In practice, in these cases, frequent disturbances and damage to kcaxialkontakten.
Another problem is that, in particular with four-pole, symmetrically constructed, in particular symmetrically oriented with respect to the central plug-axis plugging geometry could be plugged in circular connectors in four mutually different positions.
Ie. In addition to the damage to the coaxial contacts, it is also necessary to contact the plug-in connectors in a corresponding orientation, specifically in the intended orientation.
Other connectors are eg from the EP 1 289 073 A1 . US 2009/104801 A1 . US Pat. No. 4,820,204 A and the CN 201 853 858 U known.
Object of the present invention is therefore to provide a connector system, in particular a connector system with coaxial contacts, which can be securely plugged together in the correct orientation and the mating and connecting the connector damage or even contact of the contacts is prevented.

In particular, the object is to provide a connector from male and female connectors mentioned above, which has a seal, so that the plug is sealed in the inserted state sufficiently against environmental influences.

This object is achieved in general with a connector according to the features of claim 1, wherein preferred embodiments of the invention are claimed in the further claims.

Embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the drawing.

In the drawing, an embodiment of a coaxial round connector 10 according to the invention with integrated coaxial or coaxial contact elements 13, 14 is shown, The coax - round connector 10 has a coaxial cable socket according to the invention (short: socket) 11 and a coaxial - circular connector according to the invention ( short: connector or simply plug) 12 on.
In the following, therefore, the terms socket 10 and connector or simply "plug" 12 are used.
In the socket 11 a plurality of coax socket contact elements 14 are arranged. In the connector 12 a plurality of coax - pin contact elements 13 are arranged.
Each female contact element 14 ends plugged in a female sleeve 64 which surrounds a female contact 164. Similarly, each pin contact element 13 ends in a plug-in side
Pin sleeve 63 surrounding a pin contact 163.
The inner diameter of the pin sleeve 63 is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the sleeve sleeve 64, so that during the insertion process, the pin barrel 63 can be inserted into the sleeve sleeve 64 contacting. The socket contact 164 has an opening into which the pin contact element can be inserted in contact.
As noted at the outset, is achieved by the inventive design of the cable bushing 11 and the connector 12, that even with the use of multiple coax contact elements 13, 14 in particular in the connectors according to DIN IEC 61076_2_106 damage to the coaxial contacts, ie coax socket contacts 164 and the coax Pin contact 163 is excluded

The bushing 11 essentially has the following: a preferably one-part bushing body 15, a bushing fastening sleeve (bushing screw sleeve) 17 receiving the bushing body 15 (FIG. FIG. 1 ) and fastening means for attaching the female body 15 to the female screw 17.

a) Der Buchsenkörpers 15a) The socket body 15

The socket body 15 is - see. FIG. 2 - elongated and has substantially the shape of a circular cylinder with a longitudinal axis α. For example, four identical longitudinal bores 20, 21, 22, 23, each of which serves to receive one of the coax socket contact elements 14, are formed in the socket body 15, which is preferably made of plastic, running parallel to the longitudinal axis α. The socket body 15 forms the plug side, a preferably horizontal and perpendicular to the insertion direction stop surface or sliding surface 29, for the plug 12 and preferably for a still to be described plug end face 90 of a plug or socket 200. The sliding or abutment surface 29 ie the plug-side end face of the socket body 15 is cut by the Kodierausnehmungen 35 to 39.

Each of the longitudinal bores 20-23 forms a plug-side arranged plug-in opening 24 and opposite thereto a connection opening 25th

Each of the longitudinal bores 20-23 has different diameter bore portions A1, A2 and A3. The bore portion A3 has the largest diameter D3. The bore portion A1 has a slightly smaller diameter D1 compared to D4 and the bore portion A2 has a diameter D2 which lies between the diameters D1 and D3.

At the transition from the bore section A1 with D1 to the section A2 with the smaller diameter D2, an annular stop surface 27 is formed against which a female contact element 14 is applied.

The socket body 15 forms on its outer circumference three sections L1 to L3, namely a middle section L1 which separates the terminal section L2 from the plug section L3. All sections L1-L3 essentially have a circular cylinder surface. All sections L1-L3 are cut by a over the entire length of the socket body 15 extending longitudinal groove 31 as in FIG. 2 recognizes.

The section L1 has a larger diameter than L2, L3 and forms an annular projection 30. Around the circumference of the longitudinal section L3, in addition to the groove 31, a plurality of coding means in the form of coding recesses 35-39 are provided. The Kodierausnehmungen 35-39 all run parallel to the longitudinal axis α of the socket body 15 to an annular projection formed by the annular projection 30 end face 310. The individual Kodierausnehmungen 35-39 are distributed on the circumference of the portion L3 and preferably have different shapes. The Kodierausnehmung 35 forms a circular segment in cross section and the Kodierausnehmungen 36, 37 and 39 are radial sectors in cross section, which preferably have different circumferentially extending lengths.

b) Die Buchsenhülse 17b) The bushing sleeve 17

FIG. 1 ) is preferably made of metal and is attached to the socket body 15. The female sleeve 17 has a contact end 171 facing the plug 12 and, opposite thereto, a terminal end 172.

Die die Buchsenhülse 17 durchlaufende Bohrung 174 hat - vgl. Fig. 1. The bushing 17 passing through the bore 174 has - see. Fig. 1 , - At least three different diameters, so that an end face or end stop surface 310 is formed. Further, at a transition from a slightly larger diameter near the terminal end 172 to a slightly smaller diameter toward the contact end 171, a stop face 173 for an end face 310 of the socket body 15 is formed.

The socket body 15 is in the in Fig. 1 shown position in the fixing with plug 12 serving Buchsenschraubhülse 17 rotatably attached.

Das Innengewinde 129 verläuft im Bereich einer Innenfläche 45 der Buchsenhülse 17.The Buchsenschraubhülse 17 has adjacent to its contact end 171 an internal gear 129. At its contact end 171, the bushing screw sleeve 17 also forms a bead 44. The internal thread 129 extends in the region of an inner surface 45 of the bushing sleeve 17th

The coax socket contact element 14 is a total of a preferably made of metal tubular structure which has five sections with partly different diameters. The connecting end 143 forming portion F1 has the largest diameter K1, the subsequent section F2 has a diameter K2 similar to the diameter K1. The adjoining the section F2 section F3 has a diameter K3 which is smaller than the diameter K2 and the subsequent section F4 has a diameter K4 which is smaller than the diameter K3. The smallest diameter portion F4 forms on the outer circumference elastic locking arms 140 made of the material forming the portion F4. Finally, section F5 has a diameter K5 slightly larger than K4 and further forms a contact end 142 of the socket contact element 14. At the transition from section F2 to section F3 a stop surface 144 is formed which, compare FIG. 2 , When replacing the contact element 14 in the longitudinal bore 20 on the stop surface 27 comes to a stop.

Within the sleeve sleeve 64, the tubular body of the female contact element 14 terminates in FIG. 3 to be seen contact socket 320 which is surrounded by a contact wall 141 in section F5.

The connector (plug) 12 has the following.
a plug or plug sleeve 200 having a cavity 201 for receiving a pen body 16; mouth
a connecting or fastening sleeve 18. Preferably, a screw sleeve which surrounds the plug-in sleeve 200.

The threaded sleeve 18 has two sections V1 and V2. The portion V1 has a smaller diameter than the portion V2, so that a stepped cavity or hole 201 is formed, in which the socket 200 is seated. The Schraubverriegelungshülse 18 forms for receiving the receptacle 200 has a stepped cavity or a bore 301, wherein the diameter of the cavity 301 in the section V1 is smaller than in the section V2. The plug-in sleeve 200 accordingly has a smaller outer diameter in the region of the bore in the section V1 and a larger diameter in the section V2.

In section V1, the screw sleeve 180 has an external thread 321, which can be screwed into a plug-in internal thread of the bushing screw sleeve 17.

The wall thickness of the preferably made of metal screw sleeve 18 is substantially the same in the two sections V1 and V2, but the section V1 is arranged offset radially inwardly relative to the section V2. On the outer circumference of the locking sleeve 18, an outer periphery 321 is formed in regions of V1. On the outer circumference of the threaded sleeve 200, the connecting sleeve 18 is rotatably arranged with a small axial play.

The plug-in sleeve 200 is preferably made of metal and has (see. FIGS. 7 and 8 ) on its inner circumference in a radial position an axially extending rib 70 which extends over almost the entire length of the sleeve 200 from the contact side end 86 to the terminal side end 87. This rib 70 engages with a groove 60 formed in the two-part pin body 16 so that the pin body 16 is not substantially rotatable relative to the socket 200.

The plug-in sleeve 200 has (see. FIG. 1 ) two receptacle sections S1 and S2. The section S1 has a smaller outer diameter than the section S2. The circular cylindrical inner surface of the portion S1 has a smaller inner diameter than the circular cylindrical inner surface of the portion S2. As a result, at the transition from section S1 to section S2, a ( FIG. 7 ) Contact surface 80 for a plug-side end face 56 of the pin body 15 is formed.

The plug sleeve 200 forms at its contact side end 86 coding elements preferably in the form of Kodiervorsprüngen 76-79 which protrude from the inner wall of the sleeve 200 radially inwardly and are intended to come with the Kodierausnehmungen 35-39 of the female body 15 into engagement. Accordingly, the coding protrusions 76-79 and also the coding portion 71 formed by the rib portion 71 have cross-sectional shapes formed complementary to the respective cross-sectional shapes of the associated coding recesses 35-39. The coding projections 71 and 76-79 preferably extend in the axial direction only about a third of the length of the bore 201 of the plug-in sleeve 200.
It should be noted that at the contact side end 86 of the plug sleeve 200 this forms a plug sleeve end face 97 having a Sierkstirnfläche 90 and guide surfaces 73, the latter of which are set back slightly opposite the plug end face 90.
The connector sleeve 18 is rotatable on the connector sleeve 200 and slightly displaced back and forth but not removable mounted.
The two-piece pen body 16 is shown in detail in FIG FIG. 6 shown in section and in a perspective view in FIG. 7 , The pin body 16 has 4 tubular longitudinal projections, each of which fits into the holes 20 formed by the socket body 15 as a result of their slightly smaller outer diameter.

Within cavities 245 of the pen body, the coax pin contact elements 13 are arranged.
Specifically, the pin body 16 is composed of a pin body connector 51 and a pin body connector 52. The connector 51 and the connector 52 are latched together. For this purpose, connector-side and plug-part-side locking elements 158, 600 are used.
By exact guidance of the contact elements 14, 13, the invention achieves a precise contact of the coax socket contacts 164 and the coax pin contacts 163. Instead of a codiemase with associated encoder extension, the invention provides a plurality of preferably five additionally differently configured coding elements. The encoder elements provided on the strip side are set back slightly, with the coax contacts being positioned so that they do not undergo any damage during the rotary movement.

You according to the invention coaxial - round connector 10 is achieved in that the connector 12 is placed on the cable bushing 11, wherein the in one plane (dashed lines in Filo and 73) lying, formed by the plug-side coding 76 - 79 plug guide surfaces on the Buchsengleitfläche 29 encountered. For example, a guide surface 73 of a coding rib, such as coding rib 77, which rotates about the inner circumference of plug-in sleeve 200 in an angular range of approximately 30 °, can be provided. Upon rotation of the connector 12, the alignment position is then achieved when the corresponding coding match each other, in which case the plug enters the socket 11, to a certain depth.
The depth is determined in the embodiment in that the front threads of the mounting sleeve with the front threads of the cable bushing collide.
Then, the connecting sleeve 18 is rotated, that is screwed into the cable socket, wherein the plug body and the socket body are already aligned, the socket and plug contacts 163, 164 finally come into connection.
So if the connector 12 is to be inserted into the socket 11 to the in Fig. 1 To reach shown connector, the connector 12 is moved to the socket 11. This axial movement comes to an end when the guide end surfaces 73 impinges on the bushing and socket stop surface 29, unless just coincidentally the coding elements 76-79 and 35-39 are in alignment.
The user can then achieve by rotating the connector 12 the encoded by Codierausnehmungen and coding radial position, with the guide end faces 73 slide on the socket stop surface 29 until the aligned position, the axial alignment of socket 11 and connector 12 maintained during the search rotation remains. When the alignment is achieved by the engaging Codierausnehmungen and coding elements, enter the annular longitudinal projections 160 of the pin body 16 in the corresponding longitudinal bores 20-23 and preferably reach approximately in the approximately FIG. 13 shown position in which preferably the coaxial contact sockets 64 are not yet in engagement with the corresponding Coaxialstiftkontakten.

These preferably come into engagement only when by turning the locking nut 300, the receptacle 200 even further into the in Fig. 1 and 15 shown position is moved.
