Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren sowie eine Vorrichtung zum Herstellen eines Polsterungserzeugnisses. Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem ein Polsterungserzeugnis als solches. Gemäß dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren wird folglich ein flacher, länglicher, zwei- oder mehrlagiger Papierstreifen bereitgestellt. Denkbar ist, dass das Verbinden form- oder stoffschlüssig erfolgt. Insbesondere hat sich ein Verkleben der einzelnen Lagen im mittleren Bereich als besonders bevorzugt herausgestellt. Claims (17)
- Method for manufacturing a cushioning product (88), characterised by the following steps:- provision of a flat, elongated paper strip (10) having two or more layers, at least portions of the individual layers (12, 14) of the paper strip (10) being connected together in a central region (18) extending in the longitudinal direction and the individual layers (12, 14) of the paper strip (10) having edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23) which are not connected together,- spreading apart of adjacent edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23) to form a paper strip (10) which is stellate in cross-section.- crumpling of the paper strip (10) along the central region (18).
- Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the spreading apart is performed in such a way that the paper strip (10) is moved over one or more spreader cores (58).
- Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the crumpling is performed by means of a first set of drive rollers (74, 76) and a second set of drive rollers (82, 84) in such a way that the second set of drive rollers (82, 84) turns at an angular velocity which is lower than the angular velocity of the first set of drive rollers (74, 76).
- Method according to claim 3, characterised in that separation of the cushioning product (88) into two regions is performed by braking or stopping the first set of drive rollers ((74, 76) while the second set of drive rollers (82, 84) continues to be driven.
- Apparatus (50) for manufacturing a cushioning product (88), having an input region (52) for a flat, elongated paper strip (10) having two or more layers, at least portions of the individual layers (12, 14) of the paper strip being connected together in a central region (18) extending in the longitudinal direction and the individual layers (12, 14) of the paper strip (10) having edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23) which are not connected together, the apparatus (50) also having a crumpling mechanism (64) for crumpling the paper strip (10') along the central region (18), characterised in that there are provided at least one spreader core (58) for spreading apart the flat paper strip (10) along adjacent edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23) into a paper strip (10) of stellate cross-section, and a feeding mechanism (62) for moving the edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23) over the at least one spreader core (58).
- Apparatus (50) according to claim 5, characterised in that there are provided at least two spreader cores (58) situated opposite one another which are spaced apart from one another in the transverse direction, the central region (18) of the paper strip (10) thus being able to be moved through between the spreader cores (58).
- Apparatus (50) according to claim 6, characterised in that the two spreader cores (58) have wedge-shaped portions (66) which point towards one another in cross-section.
- Apparatus (50) according to claim 6 or 7, characterised in that the spreader codes (58) provided wedge-shaped portions (68) which point towards the input region (52) in longitudinal section.
- Apparatus (50) according to claim 6, 7 or 8, characterised in that positioned in front of the spreader cores (58) there are separating members (70) which engage between adjacent edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23).
- Apparatus (50) according to one of claims 5 to 9, characterised in that provided in the input region (52) there is a guide roller arranged to extend transversely to the longitudinal direction (56), by means of which the paper strip (10) is guided.
- Apparatus (50) according to one of claims 5 to 10, characterised in that the feed mechanism (62) is formed by a first set of drive rollers (74, 76).
- Apparatus (50) according to claim 11, characterised in that the first set of drive rollers (74, 76) comprises two rollers arranged one above the other which engage with the paper strip (10) upstream of the at least one spreader core (58) in the longitudinal direction and respectively above and below the central region (18) of the paper strip (10).
- Apparatus (50) according to one of claims 5 to 12, characterised in that the crumpling mechanism (64) is formed by a second set of drive rollers (82, 84) which co-operates with the first set of drive rollers (74, 76), in such a way that the second set of drive rollers (82, 84) can be turned at an angular velocity which is lower than the angular velocity at which the first set of drive rollers (74, 76) can be turned.
- Apparatus (50) according to claim 13, characterised in that the second set of drive rollers (82, 84) comprises two rollers arranged one above the other which engage with the paper strip (10) in the region between or upstream of the spreader wedges (58) in the longitudinal direction and above and below the central region (18) of the paper strip.
- Apparatus (50) according to either of claims 13 and 14, characterised in that the first set of drive rollers (74, 76) and second set of drive rollers (82, 84) can be driven in such a way that, to separate the cushioning product (88) into two regions, the first set of drive rollers (74, 76) can be braked or stopped and the second set of drive rollers (82, 84) can continue to be driven.
- Apparatus (50) according to one of claims 5 to 15, characterised in that it is suitable for performing the method according to one of claims 1 to 4.
- Cushioning product (88), in particular one manufactured by a method according to one of claims 1 to 5 and/or on an apparatus according to one of claims 6 to 16, manufactured from an elongated paper strip (10) having two or more layers, at least portions of the individual layers (12, 14) being connected together in a central region (18) extending in the longitudinal direction and the individual layers (12, 14) having edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23) which are not connected together, the adjacent edge regions (20, 21, 22, 23) being spread apart into a stellate form and the paper strip (10') being crumpled along the central region (18).
