Durch die biologisch aktiven Silberionen im Kleber werden Geruchsstoffe gebunden. Die Verminderung des Feuchtigkeitsniveaus verringert die Gefahr der Ausbreitung von bakteriellen Keimen. Die antibakterielle Wirkung der Beflockung 4 aus Viskose Flock reduziert das Keimwachstum. Nach der Entnahme des Schuhspanners 1 gibt die als Feuchtigkeitspuffer wirkende Beflockung 4 die gespeicherte Feuchtigkeit in kurzer Zeit an die Umgebung ab.
