Bei einem elektropneumatischen Feldgerät (7), wie elektropneumatischer Stellungsregler, I/P-Umformer oder dergleichen, umfassend wenigstens einen elektrischen Feldeingang (18), einen pneumatischen Versorgungseingang (33), wenigstens eine Elektronikkomponente, die mit dem wenigstens einen elektrischen Feldeingang sowie gegebenenfalls mit dem pneumatischen Versorgungseingang verbunden ist; und wenigstens einen Feldausgang (A1,A2,A3,A4), an dem anhand eines über den wenigstens einen elektrischen Feldeingang empfangenen Feldsignals, insbesondere Stell- und/oder Regelsignals, ein Feldausgangssignal (S1,S2,S3,S4) abgebbar ist, wobei eine Gruppe aus wenigstens zwei modularen Elektronik- und/oder Pneumatikkomponenten unterschiedlicher Funktionalität und durch wenigstens einen modularen Steckplatz (23a-d) zur Belegung mit jeweils einer Elektronik- und/oder Pneumatikkomponente aus der Gruppe, wobei die wenigstens zwei Elektronik- und/oder Pneumatikkomponenten und der wenigstens eine Steckplatz derart modular aufeinander abgestimmt sind, dass deren elektrische und gegebenenfalls pneumatische Schnittstellen (33a-d,35a-d,25a-d,37a-d) bei Belegung des Steckplatzes ineinander übergehen.
