Abstract

A process is described for producing layers of human hair to be used in aesthetic compositions; such process comprises the steps of: preparing a gluing solution in a vaporizer; prearranging an amount of cut, washed and dried human hair; placing on an hot press at least one first supporting sheet; arranging the human hair on the first supporting sheet; homogeneously spraying the gluing solution onto human hair; covering the glued human hair with at least one second supporting sheet; pressing for a first time in the hot press the supporting sheets with the inserted human hair; overturning the supporting sheets with the inserted human hair; lifting the second supporting sheet and homogeneously spraying the gluing solution onto the human hair; covering the glued human hair with the first supporting sheet; pressing for a second time in the hot press the supporting sheets with the inserted human hair; resting the supporting sheets with the inserted human hair; and removing the supporting sheets, obtaining the layer of human hair.

Description

  • The present invention refers to a process for producing layers of human hair to be used in aesthetic compositions.
  • No processes of this type are known; the only process that provides for the use of human hair to make threads and tissues to be worn is disclosed in document GB-A-190022947 . However, such process provides for the production of very resistant threads and tissues, differently from the layers manufactured with the inventive process, which are used in aesthetic compositions and therefore have a resistance which is enough to make such compositions, but cannot be surely compared with the resistance of the above mentioned tissue, which requires long and complex traditional weaving processes to be obtained, which are very different from the inventive process.
  • Document US-A-2232647 discloses a method for producing layers of hair-like material.
  • Object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing a process for producing layers of human hair to be used in aesthetic compositions, which can be easily made, is quick, scarcely costly, but which allows obtaining a sub-layer which is resistant enough to be able to be cut and/or modeled to obtain various types of final artistic compositions.
  • The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained with a process as claimed in Claim 1. Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
  • It is intended that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present description.
  • The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the single Figure 1 of the drawings, in which a non-limiting example of a preferred embodiment is shown of an aesthetic composition obtained with the layer of hair produced according to the inventive process.
  • With reference to the Figure, a preferred embodiment of the process of the present invention is shown and described. It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the enclosed claims.
  • The process of the invention is used to produce layers of human hair to be used in aesthetic compositions. Hair used as "rough material" can be of any type and length, and can be obtained also in various cutting steps, being thereby possible also to get them from people provided with scarce hair.
  • Such process comprises the steps of:
    • preparing a gluing solution in a vaporizer;
    • prearranging an amount of cut, washed and dried human hair;
    • placing on an hot press at least one first supporting sheet;
    • arranging the human hair on the at least one first supporting sheet;
    • homogeneously spraying the gluing solution on the human hair;
    • covering the glued human hair with at least one second supporting sheet;
    • pressing for a first time in the hot press the at least one first and one second supporting sheet with the inserted human hair;
    • overturning the at least one first and one second supporting sheet with the inserted human hair;
    • lifting the at least one second supporting sheet and homogeneously spraying the gluing solution onto the human hair;
    • covering the glued human hair with the at least one first supporting sheet;
    • pressing for a second time in the hot press the at least one first and one second supporting sheet with the inserted human hair;
    • resting the at least one first and one second supporting sheet with the inserted human hair; and
    • removing the at least one first and one second supporting sheet, obtaining the layer of human hair.
  • Preferably, the gluing solution is composed of 2 parts of vinyl glue per 10 parts of tepid water, and it is prepared in the vaporizer through stirring. For example, for an amount equal to 5 grams of hair, it is necessary to prearrange a solution composed of 2 grams of vinyl glue into 10 grams of tepid water.
  • Moreover, the prearranged amount of human hair is at least equal to 4 grams, and preferably equal to 5 grams.
  • In particular, the hot press is adapted to operate at a temperature at least equal to 230 °C.
  • Still in particular, the at least one first and one second supporting sheet can be composed of sheets of oven paper (or similar supports), preferably of a rectangular shape and whose sizes are equal to 45 cm of length and 33 centimeters of height.
  • To obtain an optimum and solid hair strength, the step of homogeneously spraying is performed at a distance at least equal to 25 cm from the human hair themselves.
  • Moreover, the steps of pressing for a first and a second time in the hot press preferably last for 1 minute, even if it is possible to use other times suitable to obtain the same object.
  • Moreover, the step of resting the at least one first and one second supporting sheet with the inserted human hair preferably lasts for 10 hours, even if it is possible to use other times suitable to obtain the same object.
  • The invention further deals with layers of hair produced through the above described process.
  • Such layers substantially compose small "cloths" which can be cut and worked with hair-driers and painted with various types of lacquer to form decorating objects, such as flowers (as shown in Figure 1), shapes and letters to put in a frame, or to coat miniature art-works (churches, houses, castles, etc.), or still more to make other ornamental objects or for other ornamental and decorative purposes in general.
  • Such objects, possibly placed in exhibitors or other storage structures, also allow remembering loved people at any time of their life, and also after their death.
