In der Treibladungshülse 3 ist ein eine Hochdruckkammer 5 bildender Einsatz (Treibkammer) 6 eingebunden, der zugleich eine (pyrotechnisches) Treibladung 7, hier in Form von Pulver, aufnimmt. Das Treibladungspulver 7 besitzt für ein gutes Zündverhalten Durchzündbohrungen 15. Zwischen der Hochdruckkammer 5 und einer unterhalb des Geschossbodens 10 des Geschosses 2 gelegenen Niederdruckkammer 8 sind Überströmöffnungen 9 integriert, die durch den Einsatz geführt sind und von der Hochdruckkammer 5 in die Niederdruckkammer 8 münden. Die Treibladungshülse 3 besteht bevorzugt aus Aluminium und nimmt ein Anzündhütchen 11 in einer Bohrung (Öffnung) 12 am Hülsenboden 13 auf. Das Anzündhütchen 11 selbst ist in einem als Verschluss wirkenden Stopfen 14 integriert, der in die Bohrung (Öffnung) 12 eingesetzt wird. Stopfen 14 und Anzündhütchen 11 sind beispielsweise mit einem Ringfugenlack abgedichtet. Die Bohrung 12 ihrerseits sollte bevorzugt zentrisch im Hülsenboden 13 angeordnet sein.
