Description

Domaine de l'inventionField of the invention

The present invention relates to a flexible-walled package, such as a bag or an outer plastic bag, for containing a first product and at least one flexible inner pouch that can be broken or torn containing a second product in form. a liquid, powder, gas or gel form for mixing with said first product in said bag or said outer bag.

This type of packaging finds application in many industrial fields, for example in the field of cosmetics, especially hair care and dyeing products. Some of these products require separate packages of two or more components to mix before use. Another field of application is pharmacy, especially when two or more products have to be mixed shortly before administration.

This kind of packaging is also useful in chemiluminescent applications, such as chemiluminescent lighting elements in which light is produced by reaction between two products which have been allowed to mix.

Arrière-plan technologiqueTechnological background

The patent document US 3539794 (Rauhut, American Cyanamid, 1970) mentions a first sealed pouch containing a liquid included in a second sealed pouch and containing another liquid, with means for breaking the first pouch but without describing the means used.

The document EP-1421314 (Ladyjenski ) discloses an aluminum foil pouch containing a solution of an oxalate disposed within a translucent plastic film pouch also containing the activating solution. The device comprises a steel ball or grain of hard material whose role is to disembowel the aluminum bag at the time of use, under the effect of the manipulation of the user.

This device, however, has certain drawbacks including the risk of unwanted piercing of the inner bag during various manipulations, including during manufacture, filling, transport and / or prolonged storage.

In addition, the multilayer laminated packaging films are very resistant, as a result of the materials chosen for their manufacture, in particular polyethylene, polypropylene or PVC as the first layer, aluminum as a barrier film and usually a layer of polyester film used to protect the extremely fine aluminum barrier. The use of a ball or grain hard material is not suitable for breaking this kind of film.

In addition, the use of a cutting object integrated in the packaging does not seem adequate either, given the risk of undesirable rupture of the outer bag of the package in addition to the rupture of the inner bag.

Objet de l'inventionObject of the invention

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a packaging of the aforementioned type which is suitable for the mentioned fields of application and which possibly makes use of known multilayer laminated packaging films, and which comprises a means of breaking the internal pocket while by reducing the risk of unwanted rupture of the external pocket.

This object is achieved by providing a packaging of the aforementioned type provided with a breaking means which consists of a substantially rigid but foldable plate - preferably without breakage - which comprises a preferred region or fold line and on which is fixedly secured to the less an internal pocket.

According to a first embodiment of the invention, the internal pocket occupies essentially the entire surface of the wafer. According to another embodiment, the wafer may comprise two internal pockets.

Advantageously, a preferred fold line consists of a groove practiced on a significant depth of said wafer. As a result, during bending, the lips of said groove move apart to thereby create a tension in the film or sheet of the adjacent pocket, which is essentially little or not elastic in tension, secured to the wafer. This tension is sufficient to tear said adjacent film. According to one embodiment, the upper edges of the groove can thus promote the tearing of the film or sheet. The rupture of this film which forms the internal pocket, therefore allows the mixing and reaction of the product contained in this inner bag with the product contained in the outer pocket.

In order to further facilitate breakage, the preferred fold line, initially rectilinear, may be interrupted by a drawing in the shape of a bend or tooth, so that when the wafer is bent, this bend or tooth forms a protruding portion which exerts an even greater traction on the adjacent film secured to said wafer. This traction, possibly completed with a peak effect in the case of a tooth-shaped line, leads to the rupture of the film which forms the internal pocket, thus allowing the product contained in this internal pocket to be mixed with the product contained in the outer pocket.

Advantageously, the film or sheet constituting the internal pocket has a notch or primer facilitating tearing. Preferably, this notch or primer is arranged to act in cooperation with the preferred fold line of the wafer or, when this fold line comprises one or more bends or teeth, in cooperation with the support of this bend or tooth on the adjacent film when folding said wafer, so to further facilitate the tearing or breaking of the internal pocket in question.

It is understood that for a pull can be exerted on the film to tear or break, the latter must be firmly and firmly attached to the wafer. To do this, according to one embodiment, tabs or tongues are advantageously provided along two opposite sides of the inner bag, on either side of the line or zone of folding, and glued, riveted or welded on the wafer substantially parallel to the preferred line or fold zone.

Advantageously, the wafer is dimensioned such that these lugs or tongues of the inner bag can be folded around the corresponding end edges of the wafer and glued, riveted or welded on the wafer face opposite the face adjacent to the pocket. .

Advantageously, the fastening means, gluing, riveting or welding at the tongue, will be located at least at the abscissa of the cut, tooth, elbow or boss.

Alternatively, one can also stick, river or solder the wafer on the film which forms the inner pocket, and inside thereof. The folding of the wafer will then cause the rupture or tearing of the film on which it is glued or welded and the flow of the product from the inner bag into the outer pocket.

According to a less preferred embodiment, the folding of the wafer causes breakage or breakage that can lead to the two-part separation of said wafer.

Description détaillée de l'inventionDetailed description of the invention

The invention thus relates to a flexible-walled package, such as a bag or an outer plastic bag, for containing a first product and at least one flexible inner bag which can be broken or torn containing a second substantially liquid or gel product to be mixed with said first product in said bag or outer bag to generate light, heat, cold or to produce a cosmetic or pharmaceutical or other.

According to the invention, as illustrated more particularly in Figures 1 and 2 there is provided a means for breaking the internal pocket, which consists of a plate 1 having a preferred fold line 2 consisting of a groove made in the thickness of the wafer allowing it to articulate easily on both sides of this groove. The inner pocket 5 is secured to the wafer 1. The wafer 1 is advantageously sized to fit in the bag or the outer pocket. The preferred fold line (groove 2) is locally interrupted by a bend-shaped cut-out 3 so that during bending there is obtained a protruding element or linear boss 4 which exerts a pulling force on the film of the secured pocket to said wafer.

The inner bag 5 may consist of a multilayer laminated film known per se, or an aluminum foil coated with a welding varnish, and hermetically sealed to contain a substantially fluid product, for example a liquid, a powder or a gel. This pocket may advantageously comprise a notch or incipient fracture 6 facing the boss obtained during the folding of the wafer on which the inner bag is applied. According to the embodiment shown, the wafer has essentially the same surface as that of the inner bag.

During manufacture, the assembly can then be placed in a pocket or outer casing of multilayer laminated plastic preferably translucent which still receives a second product before being hermetically welded.

In order to intimately bond the inner bag 5 to the wafer 1, two tabs 8, 9 or flaps are provided on two opposite sides of the inner bag. The bag is then deposited on the wafer 1 on the face having the groove 2 so that the tabs 8,9 extend beyond the wafer and parallel to said groove. These tabs are then folded on the opposite side of the wafer and advantageously welded or glued.

En variante, et selon les exigences d'utilisation, on peut aussi prévoir une plaquette ayant au moins une dimension plus grande que la poche à y solidariser et souder ou coller les pattes ou langues 8,9 sur la face de la plaquette qui comporte la rainure, comme illustré aux figure 4 et 5.Alternatively, and according to the requirements of use, it is also possible to provide a wafer having at least one dimension greater than the pocket to be joined and to weld or glue the tongues 8.9 or tongues on the face of the wafer which comprises the groove, as shown in figure 4 and 5 .

The pockets can be made in a manner known per se. A film strip segment can be used, folded and soldered on three edges; the legs or tongues can then be applied separately by gluing or welding or they are constituted by overflow of material on the welded sides. Pockets with tabs can also be formed by superimposing two films welded on four sides. Those skilled in the art will easily determine how best to achieve the object of the invention. Also the choice of the film thickness, the type of film and coating material will depend on the final application of the set, products to contain etc, but the necessary adaptations do not alter the invention.

According to another variant embodiment, there is provided a rectangular and hermetic internal pocket 14 (see FIG. figure 6 ) slightly different from that of figure 2 by the dimensions of the legs. The film of the bag consists of a three-layer film including an outer layer of polyester, an aluminum foil and a polyethylene inner liner. The pocket further comprises a notch 6 of about 1 mm made in the welded zone.

By way of example, a wafer made of polypropylene or HDPE high density polyethylene having a thickness of 1.5 mm is substantially equal to the bag without its legs grooved on the lengths CD and EF to a depth of 1.2 mm. . A cut 3 forming an elbow 4 is formed forming an arc with a radius of 6 mm. The bag 14 is placed on the plate 1 side groove 2 and positioned so that the notch 6 is at the highest level of the arc formed by the bend or boss. The legs 8,9 of the figure 7 are folded on the opposite side of the plate, stretched and welded on the plate 1 on the lengths GH and IJ.

The assembly can be introduced into a transparent polypropylene outer bag, sealed on three sides and dimensioned for this purpose. Another liquid is introduced into this pocket and the last side is sealed in turn.

According to the embodiment shown, the lugs 8.9 were welded to the wafer 1 for a short distance advantageously positioned relative to the boss. In this case, the force exerted during the folding of the plate focuses on the pocket only GH and IJ thus facilitating the rupture of the pocket.

According to yet another alternative embodiment, two bags similar to those of Example 1 are made, each containing a different liquid. A notch 6 is made in the same manner as in Example 1 on each of the pockets. A wafer 1a (see figure 8 ) in HDPE having a thickness of 1.5 mm and dimensions substantially equal to the size of the pouchless pouches is grooved on the lengths KL, MN, OP to a depth of 0.6 mm and then performs a second grooving 2bis identical on the opposite side of the wafer. A boss-forming cutout 16 forms an arc LM of radius 6 mm and diameter LM. A second cutout 18 forming the same boss 19 is made which forms an arc NW of radius 6 mm and diameter NO. A pocket is positioned on the wafer so that the notch 6 is at the highest level of the cutting arc LM. Its legs 8.9 are folded on the opposite side of the plate, stretched and welded on the plate in the same manner as in Example 1. The other pocket is positioned on the opposite side of the plate so that its notch 6 is at the highest level of the cutting arc NO. Its legs 8.9 are folded on the opposite side of the plate, stretched and welded on it. The assembly can then be introduced into a transparent outer envelope or pouch which can then be hermetically sealed. The user who seeks to mix and react the products can manually fold the assembly in the longitudinal axis of the wafer, first on one side which has the effect of breaking a first pocket and then the other side which has the effect of breaking the second bag, allowing the mixture of products, liquids, solids and / or gels.

This embodiment is advantageous when the two contents require packaging in a multilayer barrier laminated bag to ensure their good preservation over time or when the mixture that is desired to obtain is a mixture of three components, the third being contained in the outer pocket.

It will be noted that the wafers can be obtained by cutting and grooving plates made in a manner known per se. The wafers can also be produced on a large scale by injection molding, obtaining in a single step wafers with their grooves.

The wafer may have different non-rectangular contours. In fact, the word wafer covers any element having a flat area more or less central and foldable and can take very different forms. The wafer thus defined may comprise non-foldable rigid areas or projecting rigid parts.

The wafer may also be made in two parts contiguous to each other in the plane of the groove or slot, with hinge reported, flexible material, thus replacing an integral hinge.
