- Die Erstkontaktierung der verlängerten Massepins wird nicht über alle Toleranzlagen sicher dargestellt. Sie funktioniert zwar in zahlreichen Fällen, aber toleranzbedingt nicht immer, da die Massepins hierfür nicht lang genug sind.
- Es sind am "male"-Stecker des Steuergeräts deutlich längere Pins erforderlich, die teurer und schwerer in der Toleranz herstellbar sind.
- Die verlängerten Massepins sind bezüglich ihrer Position fest definiert. Bei einer anderen Steuergerätebeschaltung ist eine neue Schnittstelle mit den verlängerten Massepins an einer anderen Stelle erforderlich und zu definieren.
