Definitions

  • the invention relates to a gable press for use with the aforementioned device.
  • Composite packaging is understood to mean packaging made of a packaging material that consists of several materials bonded together over the entire surface, such as cardboard and plastic.
  • the liquid food may be, for example, drinks, soups, yogurt or the like.
  • Many known devices and methods are intended to produce packages that are cuboidal.
  • the production of packaging with decreasing cross-sectional area in the gable area in the pouring direction places particular demands on the machines on which the packaging is produced.
  • the process steps are to be adapted to methods for producing parallelepipedic packages.
  • a container for a liquid product and a method for producing and filling the container are known from EP 1 503 940 B1 known.
  • the container has in its upper region the shape of a truncated pyramid. This shape is supported by a suitably shaped pouring element which is inserted into the upper area of the packaging.
  • the preparation of the packaging takes place, as often, using a rotatable mandrel wheel and is based on the figures 10 to 15 of EP 1 503 940 B1 shown.
  • a disadvantage of the device shown and of the method described is that the folding and sealing of the gable area of the packaging take place as separate working steps in separate positions of the mandrel wheel. This has the consequence that the production is complicated and inefficient.
  • WO 2005/113222 A1 For example, another apparatus and method for producing a package is known.
  • the packaging shown here also has in its upper region a decreasing in the pouring cross-sectional area.
  • a rotating mandrel wheel is used to produce the packages.
  • it is also disadvantageous in this device and this method that only two opposite gable surfaces can be connected to the pouring element in a mandrel wheel position. In a package with a square shell cross section therefore two Dornrad einen must be traversed to fold the four gable surfaces and to seal them with the pouring element. This results in an increase in the number of work steps and thus a reduction in the efficiency of the process management result.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object, the above-mentioned and previously described in more detail device and the corresponding method in such a way and further, that a simpler and thus more cost-effective production is possible.
  • the number of mandrels can be reduced and, if necessary, a smaller mandrel wheel can be used.
  • the freed thorns can be assigned other work steps.
  • the energy to be introduced can be used effectively to create the compound.
  • the connections between the gable surfaces and the pouring element are produced in particular by heating and pressing. Alternatively or additionally, welding and / or bonding methods can be used.
  • the compounds produced are preferably gas-tight and / or liquid-tight, which is why sealing is often used.
  • the cross-sectional area of Packaging should decrease especially in the gable area of the packaging in the pouring.
  • the pouring direction is understood to mean any direction which points from the bottom region of the packaging to the pouring opening.
  • the gable area may have the shape of a pyramid or a truncated pyramid.
  • the gable region may have the shape of a tetrahedron or a tetrahedral stump.
  • a gable area which has the shape of a cone or a truncated cone.
  • the pouring element also preferably has a corresponding shape, at least in its areas assigned to the gable surfaces.
  • the tips of the mandrels can be shaped according to the form of the gable to be formed. Due to the decrease in the cross-section, excess packaging material forms protruding folds during shaping of the gable area, which are also referred to as ears.
  • the sealing of the ears is understood as sealing the packaging in the area of the ears. This is to be differentiated from the putting on and pinning of the ears.
  • the device has an ear press for folding and attaching the ears.
  • the ear press can preferably all ears, which have arisen during molding of the gable area, in the same mandrel wheel position and attach to the adjacent gable surfaces.
  • a separate tool for transferring and stapling may be provided for each ear.
  • the sealing of the ears can be done by heating and pressing respectively. Alternatively or additionally, welding and / or bonding methods can be used.
  • the device has a slide for moving the shell on a mandrel from an intermediate position to an end position.
  • the slider allows the sheaths to be displaced between two axially spaced positions on the mandrel.
  • the intermediate position represents a position in which the sheath is not yet pushed completely onto the mandrel and is therefore located axially further outward than in the end position.
  • the gable portion of the shell is in the intermediate position beyond the end of the mandrel and is therefore particularly accessible. This may be advantageous in a pretreatment, such as by heating.
  • the device may comprise at least one heating device for heating the gable region of the jacket.
  • the pretreatment of the jackets by heating is also referred to as activation and improves the quality of the compound to be produced.
  • the heater divides the air flow and directs the hot air through nozzles both on the inner sides of the gable area of the shell and on the pouring element.
  • the heater can move in and out in the gable area of the shell in the direction of the mandrel.
  • the slide can be arranged in the direction of rotation of the mandrel wheel after the heating device and in front of the gable press.
  • the coats are in the intermediate position during the action of the heater and only then pushed by the slider in the end position. Only in this way can the heating device reach and heat the required areas of the jacket and of the pouring element.
  • Targeted heating of the ears can be accomplished by having a heater for heating the ears.
  • the heating device for heating the ears can be tailored to the exact number and shape of the ears. This allows an economical use of energy when heating.
  • all ears of a package are heated in the same mandrel wheel position by the heater.
  • separate hot air nozzles can be provided for each ear.
  • a compact design can be achieved in a further embodiment of the invention, when the gable press and the ear press are assigned to the same mandrel wheel position.
  • the number of mandrels can be further reduced in this way.
  • other operations can be performed on the freed thorns.
  • the energy to be introduced can be used locally concentrated.
  • the device has a rinsing device for aseptic rinsing of the packages.
  • the rinsing device ensures that the packages are largely germ-free before filling the contents.
  • the purging device can be arranged downstream of the mandrel wheel as part of a filling system.
  • the device has a filling device for filling the packages through the open bottom area and / or through the open pouring element.
  • the filling device fills the packaging, which is closed only on one side, with contents.
  • the filling device can also be arranged downstream of the mandrel wheel as part of a filling system.
  • the device has a closing device for closing the bottom area.
  • the closing device By means of the closing device, the bottom region of the packaging is closed, as a result of which packages, that is to say filled packages, are produced.
  • the closing device can also be arranged downstream of the mandrel wheel as part of a filling system. The closing of the bottom area by the closing device can alternatively also take place before the contents are filled with the packaging. In this case, the sealed on both sides of the packaging can be filled through the open pouring element.
  • the underlying object is a method having the features of the preamble of Claim 11 achieved in that the steps c) and d) are performed in the same mandrel wheel position.
  • step e) By the combined execution of steps c) and d) in the same mandrel wheel position, the number of separate, ie spatially separate steps can be reduced or it can be assigned to the released Dornrad ein other steps. Further, the energy required for bonding and sealing, such as heat, can be locally concentrated and thus effectively utilized when steps c) and d) are performed at the same location.
  • all ears are preferably folded and stapled in the same mandrel wheel position.
  • a further embodiment of the invention provides that, in addition to steps c) and d), step e) can also be carried out in the same mandrel wheel position.
  • step a) a pouring element is pushed onto an empty mandrel of the mandrel wheel before step b) is carried out.
  • the jacket in the gable area is first folded and / or bent in step c).
  • the folding of the coats when connecting the gable surfaces of the gable area of the shell With the pouring element has the advantage that can be dispensed with a separate process step in which the gable surfaces are folded or prefolded.
  • the coats only need to be unfolded from a flat shape into a tubular shape before being pushed onto the mandrel; however, a folding on the mandrel wheel does not take place before step c).
  • step b) comprises three sub-steps: ba) pushing a shell onto a mandrel of the mandrel wheel in an intermediate position, bb) heating the gable region of the shell, bc) further pushing on the Mantels on the mandrel in an end position.
  • This sequence of steps has the advantage that the gable area initially protrudes beyond the end of the mandrel and thus is particularly accessible when heated. Also, the pouring element can be heated more easily.
  • Heating can be carried out particularly effectively by carrying out step bb) in two mandrel wheel positions in accordance with a further embodiment of the invention.
  • these are successive mandrel wheel positions.
  • the heating of the gable region of the shell is divided into two mandrel wheel positions, the gable areas of the coats can be heated very intensively, without the mandrel wheel must be rotated slower. It is thus achieved a longer heating time at a consistently high clock rate of the mandrel wheel.
  • the variability of the heating is also increased since the heating in the second mandrel wheel position can take place as required.
  • the ears adhere particularly securely to the gable surfaces when, according to another teaching of the invention, the ears are heated prior to step e). Additional heating of the ears will ensure that the ears adhere particularly firmly to the gable surfaces during subsequent transfer and attachment. Preferably, all ears are heated in the same mandrel wheel position.
  • the efficiency of the method can be increased by heating in a further embodiment of the invention, the ears before step d) and then the steps d) and e) are performed in the same mandrel wheel position.
  • the combined implementation of steps d) and e) in the same position of the mandrel wheel allows reducing the number of separate operations. It is likewise possible to carry out other work steps in the released mandrel wheel positions.
  • the required energy such as heat, locally concentrated and thus be used effectively.
  • step f) the packaging is rinsed aseptically from the inside.
  • An aseptic rinse ensures that the packaging is germ-free.
  • step f) the packaging is first filled through the open bottom area and then the bottom area is closed.
  • the teaching of the invention has recognized that, alternatively, after step f), the bottom area is first closed and then the packaging is filled by the open pouring element.
  • the filling through the open bottom has the advantage of a larger cross section through which the contents are filled.
  • the filling of the bottom-side sealed packaging by the pouring element has the hygienic advantage that production and filling of the packaging can be spatially separated.
  • the underlying object is achieved by having each of the pressing tools a gable pressing surface and two ears pressing surfaces.
  • the gable pressing surface is associated with a gable surface, and each of the two ear pressing surfaces is associated with one of the ears adjacent to this gable surface.
  • the gable press preferably has a separate pressing tool for each of the gable surfaces, so that all gable surfaces and ears can be sealed in one step.
  • two adjacent pressing tools preferably correspond to each other with respect to their ear pressing surfaces.
  • a particularly expedient embodiment is achieved if, in at least two pressing tools, the ear pressing surfaces extend in the plane of the gable pressing surfaces.
  • Fig. 1 is a produced from a jacket 1, one-sided sealed package 1 'shown.

The invention relates to a device for producing a packaging, in particular a composite packaging for liquid food, having a decreasing in the gable area in the pouring cross-sectional area, a jacket with a gable area with multiple gable surfaces and a pouring element, wherein the device at least one rotatable mandrel wheel with a plurality of thorns for receiving the coats, and a method for producing such a package, comprising the following steps:
  1. a) sliding a pouring element onto a mandrel of the mandrel wheel,
  2. b) sliding a jacket onto a mandrel of the mandrel wheel,
  3. c) folding and connecting all gable surfaces of the gable region of the shell with the pouring element,
  4. d) sealing the protruding ears,
  5. e) flipping and pinning the ears,
  6. f) removing the packaging from the mandrel.

In addition, the invention relates to a gable press for use with the aforementioned device.

Devices and methods for producing composite packages are known in practice in numerous variants. Composite packaging is understood to mean packaging made of a packaging material that consists of several materials bonded together over the entire surface, such as cardboard and plastic. The liquid food may be, for example, drinks, soups, yogurt or the like. Many known devices and methods are intended to produce packages that are cuboidal.

However, for aesthetic and functional reasons, it may be desirable to make packages that do not have a constant cross-sectional area along their entire height. In particular, it may be desirable to produce packages which have a decreasing in the pouring direction cross-sectional area in the upper region of the package and are therefore not parallelepipedic. This initially allows an attractive shape of the packaging, since the transition from the large cross-sectional area of the shell to the smaller cross-sectional area of the pouring element can take place uniformly. The uniform decrease in the cross-sectional area also has the technical effect that the liquid content can flow particularly well from the packaging. In particular, it is achieved by such a form of packaging that the packaging can be completely emptied without having to keep it absolutely perpendicular to the pouring down. The upper portion of the package can perform the function of a funnel insofar. The described shape of the upper portion of the package is also referred to as a gable shape.

However, the production of packaging with decreasing cross-sectional area in the gable area in the pouring direction places particular demands on the machines on which the packaging is produced. In addition, the process steps are to be adapted to methods for producing parallelepipedic packages. In particular, the must The fact that when folding the gable area of packages with decreasing cross-sectional area in the pouring direction, excess packaging material forms folds, which are also referred to as ears.

A container for a liquid product and a method for producing and filling the container are known from EP 1 503 940 B1 known. The container has in its upper region the shape of a truncated pyramid. This shape is supported by a suitably shaped pouring element which is inserted into the upper area of the packaging. The preparation of the packaging takes place, as often, using a rotatable mandrel wheel and is based on the figures 10 to 15 of EP 1 503 940 B1 shown. A disadvantage of the device shown and of the method described is that the folding and sealing of the gable area of the packaging take place as separate working steps in separate positions of the mandrel wheel. This has the consequence that the production is complicated and inefficient.

From the WO 2005/113222 A1 For example, another apparatus and method for producing a package is known. The packaging shown here also has in its upper region a decreasing in the pouring cross-sectional area. In turn, a rotating mandrel wheel is used to produce the packages. However, it is also disadvantageous in this device and this method that only two opposite gable surfaces can be connected to the pouring element in a mandrel wheel position. In a package with a square shell cross section therefore two Dornradstellungen must be traversed to fold the four gable surfaces and to seal them with the pouring element. This results in an increase in the number of work steps and thus a reduction in the efficiency of the process management result.

The invention is therefore based on the object, the above-mentioned and previously described in more detail device and the corresponding method in such a way and further, that a simpler and thus more cost-effective production is possible.

This object is achieved in a device according to the preamble of patent claim 1, characterized in that the device has a single mandrel wheel position associated gable press for folding the gable area, for connecting all gable surfaces of the gable region of the shell with the pouring element and for sealing the protruding ears in the same mandrel wheel position ,

By connecting the gable surfaces with the pouring element together with the sealing of the ears in the same mandrel wheel position, the number of mandrels can be reduced and, if necessary, a smaller mandrel wheel can be used. Alternatively, the freed thorns can be assigned other work steps. In addition, the energy to be introduced can be used effectively to create the compound. The connections between the gable surfaces and the pouring element are produced in particular by heating and pressing. Alternatively or additionally, welding and / or bonding methods can be used. The compounds produced are preferably gas-tight and / or liquid-tight, which is why sealing is often used. The cross-sectional area of Packaging should decrease especially in the gable area of the packaging in the pouring. The pouring direction is understood to mean any direction which points from the bottom region of the packaging to the pouring opening. In a square cross-section of the shell, the gable area may have the shape of a pyramid or a truncated pyramid. Correspondingly, in the case of a triangular cross-section of the shell, the gable region may have the shape of a tetrahedron or a tetrahedral stump.

The same applies to shell cross sections with five or more corners. It is also conceivable for round cross-section of the shell, a gable area, which has the shape of a cone or a truncated cone. The pouring element also preferably has a corresponding shape, at least in its areas assigned to the gable surfaces. The tips of the mandrels can be shaped according to the form of the gable to be formed. Due to the decrease in the cross-section, excess packaging material forms protruding folds during shaping of the gable area, which are also referred to as ears. The sealing of the ears is understood as sealing the packaging in the area of the ears. This is to be differentiated from the putting on and pinning of the ears.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the device has an ear press for folding and attaching the ears. The ear press can preferably all ears, which have arisen during molding of the gable area, in the same mandrel wheel position and attach to the adjacent gable surfaces. For this purpose, a separate tool for transferring and stapling may be provided for each ear. The sealing of the ears can be done by heating and pressing respectively. Alternatively or additionally, welding and / or bonding methods can be used.

It may be provided in a further embodiment of the invention that the device has a slide for moving the shell on a mandrel from an intermediate position to an end position. The slider allows the sheaths to be displaced between two axially spaced positions on the mandrel. The intermediate position represents a position in which the sheath is not yet pushed completely onto the mandrel and is therefore located axially further outward than in the end position. Preferably, the gable portion of the shell is in the intermediate position beyond the end of the mandrel and is therefore particularly accessible. This may be advantageous in a pretreatment, such as by heating.

In order to improve the sealing of the packaging, the device may comprise at least one heating device for heating the gable region of the jacket. The pretreatment of the jackets by heating is also referred to as activation and improves the quality of the compound to be produced. For example, by heating a plastic contained in the packaging material can be softened. Preferably, the heater divides the air flow and directs the hot air through nozzles both on the inner sides of the gable area of the shell and on the pouring element. The heater can move in and out in the gable area of the shell in the direction of the mandrel. By having a plurality of heating devices can be provided, a particularly intensive pretreatment of the coats is possible without the clock rate of the mandrel wheel must be reduced. In addition, with two heaters a particularly variable pretreatment the coats possible because the second heater can be switched on as needed.

Preferably, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the slide can be arranged in the direction of rotation of the mandrel wheel after the heating device and in front of the gable press. By this arrangement it is achieved that the coats are in the intermediate position during the action of the heater and only then pushed by the slider in the end position. Only in this way can the heating device reach and heat the required areas of the jacket and of the pouring element.

Targeted heating of the ears can be accomplished by having a heater for heating the ears. The heating device for heating the ears can be tailored to the exact number and shape of the ears. This allows an economical use of energy when heating. Preferably, all ears of a package are heated in the same mandrel wheel position by the heater. For this purpose, separate hot air nozzles can be provided for each ear.

A compact design can be achieved in a further embodiment of the invention, when the gable press and the ear press are assigned to the same mandrel wheel position. The number of mandrels can be further reduced in this way. Alternatively, other operations can be performed on the freed thorns. In addition, the energy to be introduced can be used locally concentrated.

According to a further teaching of the invention it is provided that the device has a rinsing device for aseptic rinsing of the packages. The rinsing device ensures that the packages are largely germ-free before filling the contents. The purging device can be arranged downstream of the mandrel wheel as part of a filling system.

In a further embodiment, it is proposed that the device has a filling device for filling the packages through the open bottom area and / or through the open pouring element. The filling device fills the packaging, which is closed only on one side, with contents. The filling device can also be arranged downstream of the mandrel wheel as part of a filling system.

Finally, it can be provided that the device has a closing device for closing the bottom area. By means of the closing device, the bottom region of the packaging is closed, as a result of which packages, that is to say filled packages, are produced. The closing device can also be arranged downstream of the mandrel wheel as part of a filling system. The closing of the bottom area by the closing device can alternatively also take place before the contents are filled with the packaging. In this case, the sealed on both sides of the packaging can be filled through the open pouring element.

With regard to the method mentioned above and described in more detail above, the underlying object is a method having the features of the preamble of Claim 11 achieved in that the steps c) and d) are performed in the same mandrel wheel position.

By the combined execution of steps c) and d) in the same mandrel wheel position, the number of separate, ie spatially separate steps can be reduced or it can be assigned to the released Dornradstellung other steps. Further, the energy required for bonding and sealing, such as heat, can be locally concentrated and thus effectively utilized when steps c) and d) are performed at the same location. In step e), all ears are preferably folded and stapled in the same mandrel wheel position.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that, in addition to steps c) and d), step e) can also be carried out in the same mandrel wheel position.

According to a further teaching of the invention it can be provided that in step a) a pouring element is pushed onto an empty mandrel of the mandrel wheel before step b) is carried out. By only the pouring elements are pushed onto the mandrel and then the coats are pushed over the spout on the mandrel, the production can be faster and easier compared to a targeted insertion of the pouring into the less dimensionally stable coats.

In a further embodiment of the invention, it is proposed that the jacket in the gable area is first folded and / or bent in step c). The folding of the coats when connecting the gable surfaces of the gable area of the shell With the pouring element has the advantage that can be dispensed with a separate process step in which the gable surfaces are folded or prefolded. The coats only need to be unfolded from a flat shape into a tubular shape before being pushed onto the mandrel; however, a folding on the mandrel wheel does not take place before step c).

The sealing of the package is particularly reliable in that the step b) according to a further embodiment of the invention comprises three sub-steps: ba) pushing a shell onto a mandrel of the mandrel wheel in an intermediate position, bb) heating the gable region of the shell, bc) further pushing on the Mantels on the mandrel in an end position. This sequence of steps has the advantage that the gable area initially protrudes beyond the end of the mandrel and thus is particularly accessible when heated. Also, the pouring element can be heated more easily.

Heating can be carried out particularly effectively by carrying out step bb) in two mandrel wheel positions in accordance with a further embodiment of the invention. Preferably, these are successive mandrel wheel positions. Characterized in that the heating of the gable region of the shell is divided into two mandrel wheel positions, the gable areas of the coats can be heated very intensively, without the mandrel wheel must be rotated slower. It is thus achieved a longer heating time at a consistently high clock rate of the mandrel wheel. The variability of the heating is also increased since the heating in the second mandrel wheel position can take place as required.

The ears adhere particularly securely to the gable surfaces when, according to another teaching of the invention, the ears are heated prior to step e). Additional heating of the ears will ensure that the ears adhere particularly firmly to the gable surfaces during subsequent transfer and attachment. Preferably, all ears are heated in the same mandrel wheel position.

The efficiency of the method can be increased by heating in a further embodiment of the invention, the ears before step d) and then the steps d) and e) are performed in the same mandrel wheel position. The combined implementation of steps d) and e) in the same position of the mandrel wheel allows reducing the number of separate operations. It is likewise possible to carry out other work steps in the released mandrel wheel positions. In addition, the required energy, such as heat, locally concentrated and thus be used effectively.

The hygiene in the production can be ensured by proposing in a further development of the invention that after step f) the packaging is rinsed aseptically from the inside. An aseptic rinse ensures that the packaging is germ-free.

Finally, it is provided in a further embodiment of the invention that after step f), the packaging is first filled through the open bottom area and then the bottom area is closed. Likewise, the teaching of the invention has recognized that, alternatively, after step f), the bottom area is first closed and then the packaging is filled by the open pouring element. The filling through the open bottom has the advantage of a larger cross section through which the contents are filled. The filling of the bottom-side sealed packaging by the pouring element has the hygienic advantage that production and filling of the packaging can be spatially separated.

In a gable press according to the preamble of claim 22, the underlying object is achieved by having each of the pressing tools a gable pressing surface and two ears pressing surfaces. The gable pressing surface is associated with a gable surface, and each of the two ear pressing surfaces is associated with one of the ears adjacent to this gable surface. The gable press preferably has a separate pressing tool for each of the gable surfaces, so that all gable surfaces and ears can be sealed in one step. In each case, two adjacent pressing tools preferably correspond to each other with respect to their ear pressing surfaces. A particularly expedient embodiment is achieved if, in at least two pressing tools, the ear pressing surfaces extend in the plane of the gable pressing surfaces.

In Fig. 1 is a produced from a jacket 1, one-sided sealed package 1 'shown. The jacket 1 has at its two ends a gable area 2 and a bottom area 3. The packaging 1 'has a square cross-sectional area. The jacket 1 is regularly folded from a blank, wherein two edges are connected to form a tubular shape. The gable area 2 has already been closed while the floor area 3 is still open. In the Fig. 1 illustrated packaging 1 'thus represents an intermediate stage of a manufacturing process, in the course of which from a jacket 1 open on both sides, first a package 1' and later a filled and closed - ready for sale - pack is created.

In the gable area 2, the jacket 1 is connected to a pouring element 4, which has a screw cap 5. The gable area 2 is at the in Fig. 1 illustrated embodiment formed in the shape of a truncated pyramid. This has the consequence that the packaging 1 'in the gable area 2 in addition to four gable surfaces 6 also four protruding from the gable area 2, formed from excess packaging material ears 7 has. The ears 7 are in the in Fig. 1 Although sealed, but neither repositioned nor pinned to the gable surfaces 6. In the bottom area 3, the package 1 'is still unlocked and is folded and closed only in a later manufacturing step along fold lines 8.

A closed in the gable area 2 as well as in the bottom area 3 packaging 1 'shows Fig. 2 , At the in Fig. 2 illustrated jacket 1, the manufacturing process is completed so far that is already spoken of a package 1 '. The package 1 'is closed in the bottom area 3 and sealed. In addition, the ears 7 are folded over and attached to one of the two adjacent to each ear 7 gable surfaces 6. In the created - and in Fig. 2 shown - state of the ears 7, the formation of the gable area 2 is particularly well recognizable as a truncated pyramid. The base of the truncated pyramid corresponds approximately to the cross-sectional area of the package 1 '. The four lateral surfaces of the truncated pyramid are referred to here as gable surfaces 6. The upper surface of the Truncated pyramid is substantially parallel to the base and is commonly referred to as the top surface. The top surface is at the in Fig. 2 illustrated packaging formed by the pouring element 4.

Fig. 3 shows the pouring element 4 from Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 in a perspective view. The pouring element 4 has, in addition to the screw cap 5, a square base plate 9 with a circumferential flange 10 angled relative to the base plate 9. The shape of the flange 10 is preferably adapted to the shape and in particular to the angle of inclination of the gable region 2. The angled flange 10 has ribs 11, which on the one hand mechanically reinforce the flange 10 and on the other hand should allow a better connection of the gable surfaces 6 to the flange 10. In each corner region, a wing 12 is integrally formed on the flange 10. The wings 12 also serve to improve the connection between the gable region 2 of the jacket 1 and the flange 10 of the pouring element. At the in Fig. 3 illustrated pouring element 4 connects a tamper-evident seal 13 with designed as predetermined breaking points material bridges 14, the base plate 9 with the screw 5. At the first opening the material bridges 14 are destroyed, so that a consumer can easily see if a provided with this pouring pack has been previously opened ,

In Fig. 4 An apparatus for producing a package is shown in an overall view. The device has a mandrel wheel 15 and a filling system 16. This in Fig. 4 mandrel wheel 15 shown has nine mandrels 17 and rotates cyclically in operation, so gradually, counterclockwise. On the structure and operation of the mandrel 15 is associated with Fig. 5 will be discussed in more detail. The filling system 16 has a conveyor 18 with cells 19 which moves in a clockwise direction. The type of conveyor 18 shown is often referred to as a cell string.

The finished in the gable area 2 packaging 1 'are passed after execution of the steps on the mandrel 15 to cells 19 of the conveyor 18. In this case, the packages 1 'with the gable area 2 are pushed forward into the cells 19, so that the opened bottom area 3 faces outward. The filling installation 16 has a flushing device 20, a filling device 21 and a closing device 22. In addition, the filling installation 16 comprises control units 23. First, the packages 1 'that are open in the bottom area 3 are guided past the first control unit 23, wherein the correct position of the packages 1' in the cells 19 of the conveyor system 18 is checked. This can be done for example by optical sensors. Subsequently, the packages 1 'are rinsed aseptically in the region of the rinsing device 20 in order to make the inner side of the packages 1' germ-free for the subsequent filling. Thereafter, the packages 1 'sealed in the gable area 2 are filled with contents in the area of the filling device 21 through the open bottom area 3. The sealing and sealing of the bottom region 3 of the packages 1 'takes place as the next step in the region of the closure device 22. The filled and sealed packages 1' are also referred to as packages 24 and conveyed by the second control unit 23, the bottom region 3 of the packages 24 being controlled becomes. This too can be achieved by optical sensors respectively. Finally, the packs 24 are removed from the cells 19 in the right-hand end region of the conveyor system 18 before the emptied cells 19 are moved back in the direction of the mandrel wheel 15.

Fig. 5 shows the mandrel 15 from Fig. 4 in an enlarged view. Moreover, in the lower right area of Fig. 5 a part of the conveyor 18 recognizable. The mandrel wheel 15 has in the illustrated preferred embodiment, nine mandrels 17 which are arranged at equal angles of 40 ° along the circumference of the mandrel wheel 15. One complete revolution of the mandrel wheel 15 can be divided mentally and spatially into nine sectors, which are here called mandrel wheel positions and in Fig. 5 be denoted by the Roman numerals I to IX. The mandrel wheel 15 can thus go through nine separate steps before a complete revolution is completed and each of the pins 17 is back in its original mandrel wheel position.

In Dornradstellung I the pouring element 4 is pushed onto the empty mandrel 17 and the mandrel wheel 15 is further rotated by a mandrel wheel position. For storage and supply of pouring elements 4, a in Fig. 5 merely indicated feeder 25 may be provided. In Dornradstellung II a sheath 1 is pushed over the previously deferred and held on the mandrel 17 pouring 4 away on the mandrel 17. Preferably, although not absolutely necessary, the jacket 1 is not pushed to the stop in an end position, but initially remains in an intermediate position on the mandrel 17. The intermediate position may be 20 mm to 40 mm in front of the end position. Unspecified spring clips secure this the axial position of the coats 1 on the mandrel 17. Subsequently, the mandrel wheel 15 is further rotated in the mandrel wheel position III.

In the mandrel wheel position III of the gable region 2 of the shell 1 and the pouring element 4 is activated with hot air. For this purpose, a heating device 26 is provided in the region of the mandrel wheel position III. The heating device 26 is intended in particular to heat the inside of the jacket 1 in the area of the gable area 2 and the outer sides of the flanges 10 of the pouring element 4, since these areas are associated with one another and should form a connection. Heating is also referred to as activation in this context. In the in Fig. 5 illustrated and so far preferred embodiment is performed in mandrel position IV the same step as in mandrel position III. Therefore, the device also has a heating device 26 in the area of the mandrel wheel position IV.

Between the mandrel wheel positions IV and V, a slider 27 is provided, which pushes the pushed onto the mandrels 17 coats 1 from the intermediate position to the end position. The executed by the slide 27 step does not necessarily have to be performed between two mandrel wheel positions, but can also be performed in one of the mandrel wheel positions. After the mandrel wheel 15 has been further rotated, the gable region 2 in the mandrel wheel position V is treated by a gable press 28. The gable press 28 presses the gable surfaces 6 on the flange 10 of the pouring element 4 and thus produces a sealed connection. This can be achieved by the above-described heating and pressing, alternatively - without prior activation - also by welding and bonding methods. In the same way, the gable region 2 of the shell 1 is sealed by the gable press 28 also in the region of the ears 7. The ears 7 are at the in Fig. 5 However, mandrel wheel 15 shown not already applied by the gable press 28 in mandrel wheel position V to the gable surfaces 6. After the shell 1 is sealed in the gable area 2 with the pouring element 4, it forms a one-sided sealed packaging 1 '.

After a further rotation of the mandrel wheel 15, the gable region 2 in the mandrel wheel position VI is treated with a heating device 29. The heater 29 is used in particular for heating and thus activating the protruding ears 7 and is therefore shaped differently than the heaters 26 from the mandrel wheel positions III and IV. Preferably, the heater 29 is specially adapted to the number and shape of the ears 7. After further rotation of the mandrel 15, the protruding ears 7 are folded by an ear press 30 and attached to the gable surfaces 6 in the mandrel wheel position VII. This can be done in particular by heating and pressing. Alternatively, welding or adhesive methods are conceivable. In the mandrel wheel position VIII, the packages 1 are pulled by the mandrel 17 and received by a cell 19 of the conveyor system 18. In this case, the packages 1 'are not turned over, so that they are reversed, that is, with the bottom area 3 open, directed upward. The Dornradstellung IX is assigned no step.

The mandrel wheel V associated gable press 28 is in Fig. 6 shown in a further enlarged view. A sectional view of the gable press 28 along the Line VII-VII from Fig. 6 is in Fig. 7 shown. First is in Fig. 6 a on a thorn of in Fig. 6 Dornrads 15 not shown pushed-over jacket 1 recognizable. The gable surfaces 6 of the shell 1 are to be connected by the gable press 28 with the pouring element 4. For this purpose, the gable press 28 corresponding to the number of gable surfaces 6 four pressing tools 31A, 31B, of which in Fig. 6 for reasons of better clarity, only two opposing pressing tools 31B and one of the two pressing tools 31A are shown.

In the case of a package with a square cross-section, the gable press 28 thus has four pressing tools 31A, 31B. Each of the pressing tools 31A, 31B has a gable pressing surface 32 and two ear pressing surfaces 33, such as Fig. 7 shows. In the two opposed pressing tools 31A, the ear pressing surfaces 33 are angled with respect to the gable pressing surface 32. In the other two opposing dies 31B, the ears pressing surfaces 33 are in a plane with the gable pressing surface 32. The gable pressing surfaces 32 each press a gable face 6 against the pouring element 4. For pressing and sealing the ears 7, two adjacent dies 31A, 31B must engage with each other associated ear pressing surfaces 33 cooperate. This can be done for example in a package with square cross-section, by first the two opposing pressing tools 31A are moved in the direction of the mandrel. In this case, two opposite gable surfaces 6 are pressed against the pouring element 4. The ears 7 of these two gable surfaces 6 are initially supported only on one side by the ear pressing surfaces 33 of the two already displaced pressing tools 31A.

Thereafter, the other two pressing tools 31 B, which in turn also opposite each other, operated. Again, two opposite gable surfaces 6 are pressed by the gable pressing surfaces 32 to the pouring element 4. At the same time, the four ears 7 of each pair of ear pressing surfaces 33 are compressed and sealed. Alternatively, it is also possible that all pressing tools 31A, 31B are operated simultaneously. The directions of movement of the pressing tools 31A, 31B are in Fig. 7 represented by arrows.
