Definitions
- the invention relates to an antenna arrangement and to a method for producing such an antenna arrangement according to the features of the respective preambles of the independent patent claims.
- An antenna arrangement in the form of a foil antenna for a vehicle is known.
- This antenna arrangement has a carrier film with at least one antenna structure, wherein furthermore an electronic device is present and wherein a contact region of the at least one antenna structure is arranged on a tab which is formed by the carrier film and contacted with a contact region of the electronic housing.
- the electronic device itself has a printed circuit board with electronic components located thereon to realize the function of the electronic device (for example, in its form as an antenna amplifier).
- the electronic device is arranged on the carrier film itself and contacted with the antenna structures. Subsequently, this prepared component is installed in a vehicle.
- this has the disadvantage that the electronic device with its sensitive electronic components is completely unprotected.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying both an antenna arrangement and a method for producing such an antenna arrangement, which is improved over the known prior art.
- a better protection of the electronic device should be given against external influences while simplifying assembly.
- the electronic device (before mounting on the carrier film) is arranged in a housing, wherein the tab is inserted into the housing and the housing is arranged fixed in position on the carrier film.
- the housing offers protection against external influences on the electronic device.
- the assembly is simplified because the housing in which the printed circuit board is located with the electronic components, can be easily, quickly and easily on the support film, for example by gluing, can be arranged.
- the contacting of the ends of the antenna structures, which are arranged in the region of the tab can be done either before mounting the housing on the carrier foil or thereafter.
- the housing may have a slot into which the tab is inserted, wherein after the introduction of the tab into the housing contacting with corresponding contact areas of the circuit board of the electronic device takes place.
- the tab forms an at least equal free space in the carrier film and this free area is covered by the housing of the electronic device.
- the tab is provided, for example punched out, within the carrier film (and not at the edge), the contact areas of the antenna structures being located on the tab.
- This tab can then be flexibly inserted into the housing of the electronic device and contacted there.
- a strain relief of the contact area is given by the tab at the same time, so that temperature fluctuations, mechanical movements (especially vibrations) and the like can not permanently adversely affect the contact area.
- the housing of the electronic device is formed by an upper housing part and a lower housing part and inserted the tab between these two parts in the interior of the housing.
- This has the advantage that initially the lower housing part can be arranged on the carrier film. Thereafter, the tab is inserted and then placed the circuit board on the lower housing part (or vice versa). Thereafter, the housing is closed by placing the upper housing part on the lower housing part, whereby at the same time also the contacting between the contact region of the tab and the associated contact region of the printed circuit board of the electronic device takes place.
- a simplified assembly is given so that successively set the housing on the carrier film and at the same time the contact is performed.
- the antenna arrangement consisting of the carrier foil with antenna structures and electronic device arranged thereon is available for further use, namely installation in the vehicle.
- the upper housing part has at least one pressure element and / or the lower housing part at least one counterelement that optionally interacts with the pressure element, the pressure element exerting a force on the adjacent contact areas.
- This pressure element which in particular generates a prestressing spring force, advantageously exerts a permanent effect on the contact areas lying against one another or on one another in order to ensure a permanent contact.
- the pressure element which is advantageously arranged on the upper housing part, can permanently exert a defined force, it cooperates in an advantageous manner with a counter element of the lower housing part.
- the reverse arrangement, namely pressure element on the lower housing part and counter element on the upper housing part is of course also possible.
- an adhesive layer is provided on the surface of the housing facing the carrier surface, in particular of the housing lower part.
- This adhesive layer has at least a first function. Because with this adhesive layer, the housing, in particular the lower housing part, fixed on the carrier film. In this case, this adhesive layer is protected by a cover before mounting the housing, so first the cover must be removed before the housing can be glued to the carrier film. This increases the speed of assembly, wherein current adhesive layers are suitable and designed to arrange the housing permanently and immovably on the carrier film. In addition, this adhesive layer also has another function. Since it extends beyond the free area formed by the tab, it is possible with this portion of the adhesive layer to attach the entire antenna assembly to a vehicle component by an adhesive process.
- the adhesive layer is covered by at least one cover, if only the housing on the carrier film (the free area overlapping or not) to be arranged.
- a second cover is provided, which is then removed after the first cover has been removed and thus the housing has been fixed in position on the carrier film. Then, namely, at a later time, the second cover can be removed, namely, when the antenna assembly is to be arranged on the vehicle component.
- the electronic device is arranged in a housing, wherein the tab is inserted into the housing and the housing is arranged fixed in position on the carrier film by gluing.
- an adhesive layer arranged on an underside of the housing is covered by at least one cover, preferably two covers, before fixing the housing to the carrier film and the at least one cover is removed in order subsequently to fix the housing in a position-fixing manner on the carrier film ,
- the housing in particular its lower housing part, can be permanently and quickly arranged in its desired position on the carrier film.
- the second cover is removed in order to fix the carrier film in a position-fixing manner on a target component.
- the second cover is accessible through the open space formed by the tab so that the entire antenna assembly can be adhered to the target component after removal of the second cover.
- an open area is punched out of the carrier film and covered by the housing of the electronic device after its positional fixation on the carrier film. By punching the free area, the tab is formed on the one hand, which is introduced into the electronic device for the purpose of contacting.
- the outdoor area is free.
- the second cover of the adhesive layer on the underside of the housing is then accessible, so that it can be removed if the antenna assembly is to be permanently arranged on the target member by gluing.
- the previously covered adhesive area is accessible through the free area and can be used for adhering the antenna arrangement to the target component.
- the housing can be arranged on the carrier foil 2 and the contacting of the antenna structures 7 with the circuit board 5 can take place by means of the contact areas 10 on the tab 9.
- FIG. 5 shown.
- the housing 4 consists of an upper housing part 13 and a lower housing part 14.
- the lower housing part 14 preferably covering the free area 11, is arranged on the carrier film 2.
- the lower housing part 14 receives the printed circuit board 5, wherein subsequently the tab 9 is placed with the contact regions 10 of the antenna structures 7 via the lower housing part 14. Subsequently, the housing 4 is closed by placing the upper housing part 13 on the lower housing part 14.
- the upper housing part 13 comprises a pressure element 15.
- This pressure element 15 is designed so that it presses against the associated contact area 16 and the adjacent contact area 10 abutting each other.
- the cross-sectionally V-shaped pressure element 15 is elongated and presses with its web in the top of the V-shape on the adjacent contact areas 10 on the tab 9 and at the same time on the associated contact areas 16 of the circuit board 5.
- the counter element for the pressure element 15, the circuit board. 5
- the housing 4 formed from the upper housing part 13 and lower housing part 14 is arranged on the carrier film 2 and the antenna structures 7 are permanently contacted with the electronic device in the housing 4.
- the tab 9, as in FIG. 4 is shown, an effective strain relief of the associated contact areas 10, 16 is given.
- the lower housing part 14 has an adhesive layer 17 with which the lower housing part 14 is adhesively bonded to the surface of the carrier film 2.
- the lower housing part 14 comprises a counter element 18, which can be used for mounting the printed circuit board 5 in the housing 4 and / or as a counter element for the pressure element 15. Since the circuit board 5 is usually a rigid planar structure, the counter element 18 must not be arranged in the effective direction of the pressure element 15, but may also be provided lying next to it.
- the tab 9 which was previously in the same plane as the carrier film 2, lifted off this plane, in a manner such that the at least one contact region 10 on the tab 9 is in coincidence with the at least an associated contact area 16 of the printed circuit board 5.

- an adhesive layer is also provided on the underside of the carrier film 2 in order to cover the entire antenna arrangement 1 both with the partial adhesive layer set in the free area 11 as well as with the adhesive layer of the carrier film 2 to the target component.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an antenna arrangement and to a method for producing such an antenna arrangement according to the features of the respective preambles of the independent patent claims.
The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying both an antenna arrangement and a method for producing such an antenna arrangement, which is improved over the known prior art. In particular, a better protection of the electronic device should be given against external influences while simplifying assembly.
With regard to the antenna arrangement is provided according to the invention that the electronic device (before mounting on the carrier film) is arranged in a housing, wherein the tab is inserted into the housing and the housing is arranged fixed in position on the carrier film. The housing offers protection against external influences on the electronic device. In addition, the assembly is simplified because the housing in which the printed circuit board is located with the electronic components, can be easily, quickly and easily on the support film, for example by gluing, can be arranged. The contacting of the ends of the antenna structures, which are arranged in the region of the tab, can be done either before mounting the housing on the carrier foil or thereafter. For example, the housing may have a slot into which the tab is inserted, wherein after the introduction of the tab into the housing contacting with corresponding contact areas of the circuit board of the electronic device takes place.
In a further development of the invention, the tab forms an at least equal free space in the carrier film and this free area is covered by the housing of the electronic device. This means that the tab is provided, for example punched out, within the carrier film (and not at the edge), the contact areas of the antenna structures being located on the tab. This tab can then be flexibly inserted into the housing of the electronic device and contacted there. As a result, a strain relief of the contact area is given by the tab at the same time, so that temperature fluctuations, mechanical movements (especially vibrations) and the like can not permanently adversely affect the contact area.
In a further development of the invention, the housing of the electronic device is formed by an upper housing part and a lower housing part and inserted the tab between these two parts in the interior of the housing. This has the advantage that initially the lower housing part can be arranged on the carrier film. As a result, a simplified assembly is given so that successively set the housing on the carrier film and at the same time the contact is performed. Subsequently, the antenna arrangement consisting of the carrier foil with antenna structures and electronic device arranged thereon is available for further use, namely installation in the vehicle.
In a development of the invention, the upper housing part has at least one pressure element and / or the lower housing part at least one counterelement that optionally interacts with the pressure element, the pressure element exerting a force on the adjacent contact areas. This pressure element, which in particular generates a prestressing spring force, advantageously exerts a permanent effect on the contact areas lying against one another or on one another in order to ensure a permanent contact. In order that the pressure element, which is advantageously arranged on the upper housing part, can permanently exert a defined force, it cooperates in an advantageous manner with a counter element of the lower housing part. The reverse arrangement, namely pressure element on the lower housing part and counter element on the upper housing part is of course also possible.
In a further development of the invention, an adhesive layer is provided on the surface of the housing facing the carrier surface, in particular of the housing lower part. This adhesive layer has at least a first function. Because the tab is inserted into the housing, so thereby preferably below a partial area of the total area of the housing of the free area arises. About this outdoor area located on the bottom of the housing adhesive layer can be connected to the vehicle component. Therefore, it is provided in a further advantageous embodiment of the invention that the adhesive layer is covered by at least one cover, if only the housing on the carrier film (the free area overlapping or not) to be arranged. Further advantageously, a second cover is provided, which is then removed after the first cover has been removed and thus the housing has been fixed in position on the carrier film. Then, namely, at a later time, the second cover can be removed, namely, when the antenna assembly is to be arranged on the vehicle component.
With regard to the method for producing such an antenna arrangement, it is provided according to the invention that the electronic device is arranged in a housing, wherein the tab is inserted into the housing and the housing is arranged fixed in position on the carrier film by gluing. This results in the same advantages as have already been described above with respect to the structural design of the antenna arrangement.
It is further provided according to the invention that an adhesive layer arranged on an underside of the housing is covered by at least one cover, preferably two covers, before fixing the housing to the carrier film and the at least one cover is removed in order subsequently to fix the housing in a position-fixing manner on the carrier film , As a result, the housing, in particular its lower housing part, can be permanently and quickly arranged in its desired position on the carrier film.
In a development of the invention, it is provided that the second cover is removed in order to fix the carrier film in a position-fixing manner on a target component. The second cover is accessible through the open space formed by the tab so that the entire antenna assembly can be adhered to the target component after removal of the second cover. By the previous attachment by gluing the electronic device on the carrier film thus the entire combination, consisting of housing and carrier film, are glued in the form of the antenna assembly to the target component. For this purpose, it is provided in a development of the invention that an open area is punched out of the carrier film and covered by the housing of the electronic device after its positional fixation on the carrier film. By punching the free area, the tab is formed on the one hand, which is introduced into the electronic device for the purpose of contacting. Through this introduction, the outdoor area is free. In this free area, the second cover of the adhesive layer on the underside of the housing is then accessible, so that it can be removed if the antenna assembly is to be permanently arranged on the target member by gluing. After the removal of the second cover, the previously covered adhesive area is accessible through the free area and can be used for adhering the antenna arrangement to the target component.

FIG. 1 shows in section in a schematic representation of an antenna arrangement 1, which comprises acarrier film 2. On thiscarrier film 2 antenna structures are applied for the realization of the receiving or transmitting function. The antenna arrangement 1 is arranged on atarget component 3, wherein on theCarrier film 2 continues ahousing 4 with a printedcircuit board 5 is permanently fixed in position. On thecircuit board 5 are in the required manner electronic components to realize the desired receiving or transmitting functions or signal processing can. On the output side, thecircuit board 5 is contacted with anantenna cable 6. About thisantenna cable 6, the electronic device (designed, for example, as a matching device, amplifier, signal processor or the like) contacted with a not shown downstream further electronic device. -
FIG. 2 shows the antenna assembly 1 with thecarrier film 2, thehousing 4 of the electronic device and theantenna cable 6. On thecarrier film 2, one ormore antenna structures 7 are arranged in the required manner. In this case, thecarrier film 2 is divided into two sections, which are arranged at right angles to each other. Of course, however, any other forms ofcarrier film 2 are conceivable. -
FIG. 3 shows a detailed view of the arrangement of thehousing 4 on thecarrier film 2, wherein it can be seen that the oneantenna structure 7, here three or more than threeantenna structures 7, are guided in the direction of thehousing 4. This is important because the respective end of theantenna structures 7 must be contacted with associated contact areas on thecircuit board 5 within thehousing 4. -
FIG. 4 shows thecarrier film 2 before thehousing 4 has been arranged on thecarrier film 2. Important here is a punchingcontour 8, wherein by means of the punchingcontour 8, atab 9 is formed from thecarrier film 2. In the simplest form, the punchingcontour 8 corresponds to the outer contour of thetab 9. If thetab 9 is punched out, thecontact region 10 of theantenna structures 7 is located in its region means that in the embodiment according toFIG. 4 thetab 9 is rectangular in shape and theantenna structures 7 are parallel to each other on thetab 9, thecontact area 10 forming, out. As according toFIG. 4 the outer contour of thetab 9 deviates from the punchingcontour 8, thereby anopen area 11 is formed. Thisfree area 11 is, as will be described later, used for the arrangement of the antenna assembly on the target component. Furthermore, the punchingcontour 8 compriseslongitudinal cuts 12 guided parallel to theflap 9, which also form a free region between the circumferential edge of the punchingcontour 8 and the edge region of theflap 9 extending parallel thereto. This free space is required for the tab can be handled flexibly for the purpose of contacting.
