Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ventilation component, comprising a channel-shaped housing with peripherally arranged housing walls, wherein in the housing at least one fan, in particular a centrifugal fan, and a fan seen in the flow direction upstream diaphragm are arranged, wherein the aperture an opening for the passage of the flowing medium Having the intake of the fan.
  • a centrifugal fan includes an impeller driven by a drive motor.
  • the impeller usually has a cover plate and a support disc, between which impeller blades are arranged.
  • the air is usually sucked parallel to the drive axis of the centrifugal fan and deflected by the rotation of the radial impeller by 90 ° and blown out radially.
  • the radial fans used in the present field do not have a housing disposed around the impeller.
  • the slotted silencer is mounted so that the distance between the diaphragm and the downstream side of the slotted silencer is at least half the diameter of the impeller.
  • this requires on the one hand a high housing length and on the other hand a higher sound power, which is not desirable.
