Such deposits must be removed regularly for fire protection reasons, which is associated with considerable effort.
- UV-C exhaust air purification systems available on the market also have various disadvantages. Frequently, in conventional UV systems, the radiation exposure of the kitchen staff is not completely and sustainably prevented. In addition, such systems usually only work with suitable aerosol separators and intermediate filters. Also, the ozone generated by UV light leads in some places to licensing problems for the operation of the kitchen air purification system by the authorities. In addition, the maintenance is very complex in these systems. The by aging or heavy pollution necessary replacement of the lamp is usually very complicated and therefore can usually only be carried out by service staff of the manufacturer. The maintenance of the kitchen air cleaning system in this regard can not be performed during operation, so that the operation for cleaning must be interrupted.

Kitchen air cleaning systems are designed to remove the cooking odor produced by a cooking, frying or grilling device from the kitchen air. The kitchen fume that soils the kitchen air includes undesirable particulates such as finely divided oil or fat droplets, odorants, solid particles, or the like. Well-known commercial kitchen air cleaning systems generally have an extractor hood, which is supplied to dirty kitchen air by means of a take-off device, and a subsequent aerosol filter with a downstream arranged in the flow direction UV light module. The aerosol filter filters solid or liquid airborne particles up to a certain size from the kitchen air. Smaller suspended particles can pass through the aerosol filter as dust or fog. In hotels, canteens and fast-food restaurants, kitchen air-cleaning systems are increasingly using UVC-C lamps to degrade fatty, organic and odor-carrying substances. The UV light emitted by the UV light module generates ozone, which reacts with the remaining oil or fat particles. This leads to the fact that oil or greasy deposits in the kitchen air cleaning system are largely avoided and on the other hand also brings the positive effect that a significant reduction in odor achieved and also the cleaning costs are significantly reduced. The cleaned kitchen air can then be discharged into the open without further measures or returned to the room air, if necessary via an activated carbon filter.
The access is closed by an access-releasing sealing access cover which is removably or pivotally connected to the corresponding side wall, the access cover forming part of the central housing portion of the module housing. The UV light module is detachably fastened in particular in the middle housing section via guide elements, in particular being pushed in. For this purpose, each guide elements are arranged on the UV module and the module housing, which are complementary to each other. The access cover can be formed by a loose access cover or by a preferably vertically hinged access flap and can be locked to the side wall. In this case, the UV light module can be detachably fastened to an inner side of the access flap or access cover assigned to the interior or to an inner side of the lower, middle and / or upper housing section. Preferably, the UV light module is attached to the respective inner side inserted or suspended. The UV light module together with the module housing forms the UV cleaning module according to the invention. According to the invention, in the case of the module housing of the UV cleaning module, the lower housing section is designed as a lower modular housing insert and / or the upper housing section as an upper modular housing insert, wherein the housing inserts are firmly connected, preferably screwed, to the central housing section. The UV cleaning module also has a flame retardant filter. In this case, the outlet opening of the module housing in the direction of the inlet opening extending air baffles. The at the outlet opening of the module housing in the direction of the inlet opening extending air baffles The kitchen air, which is routed around the UV lamps of the UV light module for the purpose of burning off the fats or oils of kitchen fumes, leads directly to the outlet opening after irradiation with UV light. The baffles prevent congestion and turbulence of the irradiated kitchen air and thus any deposits in the vicinity of the outlet opening of the UV cleaning module.
In a preferred embodiment of the UV cleaning module, a retractable flameproofing filter covering the air inlet opening is arranged on the inside of the lower housing section, said flameproofing filter being insertable into or removable from the module housing when the access opening is open. For this purpose, the inlet opening or the module housing on the side opposite the outlet opening side fastening means for the UV light module releasably upstream flame retardant filter. The fastening means may be formed, for example, as guide rails or as latches. The use of the flameproof filter is optional and depends on which filter types are already provided in front of the inlet opening of the module housing in the kitchen air cleaning system. The flame retardant filter is preferably insertable into or removed from the module housing through the open access to the central housing portion without removing the UV light module. This facilitates testing and cleaning or replacement of the flameproof filter if necessary.
The UV light module according to the invention, which is intended to be installed in a kitchen air cleaning system and has at least one UV radiator for cold combustion of an oil and / or grease mist in the extracted kitchen art, can be arranged in a housing of the kitchen air cleaning system, which is impermeable to UV light and a flow channel through which the kitchen fume is extracted from a suction. Such housings are usually made of corrosion-resistant, easy to clean and folded stainless steel sheets. The UV light module is formed in particular insertable into the housing. It has lateral brackets for Recording of the UV lamp, which receive the UV lamp at least at one end and are rigidly connected to each other via crossbeams.
The brackets may be, for example, processed sheets. The trusses may in themselves have any cross-sectional shape, i. H. For example, be designed as a metal strip, profile or rod with a matched to the UV lamp length. It is advantageous if the trusses act as flow baffles and are preferably arranged in the flow direction of the kitchen air to be cleaned directly in front of the respective UV radiator and guide them around the UV radiator. This prevents premature contamination of the at least one UV emitter. The brackets have recesses into which extend the ends of the UV lamp. It is usually sufficient if the UV lamp is attached to one side of one of the brackets, since the brackets form a stable frame with the trusses. The other end of the UV lamp can, but does not have to be fixed or guided on the other holder.
In a preferred embodiment of the UV light module according to the invention, a sealed connection plug connection is arranged directly on the holder or on a distributor housing fastened to the holder on at least one holder on the side facing away from the UV emitter, which is sealingly connected to the holder. In the distributor housing, an electrical connection between the UV lamp and the connection plug connection is made. The connection plug connection comprises a plug part and a mating plug part, which can be detached from the plug part and can be connected to it again. The mating connector part is provided for contacting an electrical connection cable, which starts from a controller for the UV light module, so that the electrical connection to the UV light module can be easily and quickly separated and restored.
Preferably, at least the holder to which the UV emitter is fixed immovably, an elastic bearing for the UV lamp on. The elastic bearing may have two sealing rings or discs on the flat sides rest the brackets. The two rings or discs can also be replaced by a single molded part, which is formed ring-shaped or disc-shaped with an outer circumferential annular groove. The elastic bearings can protect the UV emitter from vibrations, so that it makes sense to take this elastically at both ends. The material for the elastic bearings must be selected for UV resistance. Furthermore, it is advantageous to use an opaque material since no UV light can escape laterally from the holders.
In one embodiment of the invention, the UV light module is modular expandable. In this case, the number of UV lamps of the UV light module can be changed according to the required power. Both UV lamps can be removed and supplemented. The brackets and the distributor housing are prepared or formed accordingly.
The proposed UV light module is also advantageously waterproof and dishwasher safe. It can be easily cleaned and dried in a short time after removal from the module housing in a commercial dishwasher, without it being damaged. This ensures thorough cleaning.
Alternativ kann die Innenseite beispielsweise hinterschnittene Schiebeführungen oder Tragehaken für dasPreferably, the UV light module is attached in a favorable embodiment by means of the brackets on the inside of the central housing portion. For this purpose, rail-shaped or hook-shaped bends, holes with or without thread or other suitable recesses or studs with or without thread can be arranged on the holders. A simple possible method of attachment for the holders of the UV light module on the inside of the central housing section comprises a screw connection which is easy to manufacture and detach. The screw can have a threaded bolt with a square, hexagon, wing or knurled nut or a screw with a suitable head, which is associated with a bore with internal thread. Alternatively, the inside, for example, undercut sliding guides or hooks for the
Have UV light module, which interact with correspondingly complementary trained rails, hooks, bolts or the like of the UV light module. Favored are guide elements which are rail-like and thus form a guide.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the UV light module and / or the inside of the module housing or the access cover has locking means for securing the position and fixing the UV light module. The design of the locking means is dependent on the position and arrangement and design of the guide elements for the UV module. They are intended to reliably prevent unintentional shifting or inadvertent release of the UV light module from the module housing or access cover. It is advantageous if the locking means are, for example spring-loaded and make the lock automatically when the UV light module has taken a certain position. Also, the release of the lock is particularly easy to do in this case.
The module housing of the UV cleaning module according to the invention is conveniently made of folded corrosion-resistant and easy-to-clean stainless steel sheets and modular. It preferably consists of modular lower and upper housing sections, which are ideally fixed or detachably connected to a standard central housing section. The middle housing section is adapted to the male UV light module. The lower and the upper housing section can be varied in the outer contour and / or in the size or in the shape of the inlet opening and the outlet opening, respectively, without the central housing section being changed. This is a simple way of adapting the module housing with the recorded therein UV module to various kitchen air cleaning systems possible.
In one embodiment of the invention, the lower housing portion has a lower housing insert with an inlet opening for the oil or grease loaded kitchen art and the upper housing portion a
upper housing insert with an outlet opening for the purified, ie oil or grease-free kitchen art. The upper housing insert is screwed depending on the training either with the upper housing portion and / or the central housing portion. However, it can also be riveted or welded with these. The same applies mutatis mutandis to the lower housing use.
In a variant of the UV cleaning module according to the invention, the middle housing section has a sealed chamber separated from the UV light module for a preferably insertable control for controlling the UV light module. The control is for example via an electrical connection cable electrically connected to the mating connector part of the connection plug-in connection, wherein the mating connector part can be easily and quickly connected to or disconnected from the plug-in part of the connection plug connection permanently attached to the UV light module. The sealed chamber protects the controller from grease and / or oil deposits and high temperatures caused by the UV lamps and the combustion process. The controller can be replaced easily in case of failure or failure.
To ensure safe operation and to detect functional problems of the kitchen air cleaning system at any time and to output appropriate messages, their proper function is monitored via the module housing and the UV light module. For example, an intelligent controller with corresponding software and associated sensors can be used for this purpose. This includes, on the one hand, that the UV light module can only be switched on when the extraction device for the kitchen air is in operation, and, secondly, that the flow through the module housing is continuously monitored by means of a sensor provided there. Likewise, the presence of the flameproof filter is controlled by a microswitch in the module housing. The function of the individual UV lamps is also checked via their power consumption. In addition, the fat contamination of the UV lamps is measured via a fat sensor. By a pulse monitoring, the frequency of cleaning the UV light module is counted, are also counted the operating hours of each UV lamp. The controller as well as the software may contain modules that allow remote monitoring of the kitchen air cleaning system. This allows error messages to be transmitted online as SMS or e-mail to the service company.
In short, the invention provides the following advantages to the user and to the manufacturer: The module housing and the UV light module have a modular structure. The UV light module is also quickly and easily removed from the module housing and used in this, so that it even by non-qualified kitchen personnel can be easily replaced with a replacement UV light module. For this purpose, the kitchen air cleaning system usually has to be taken out of service only for a few minutes. In addition, the UV light module is waterproof and dishwasher safe, so that it can be reliably cleaned easily. Due to the user-friendly cleaning option of the new UV light module, the kitchen staff will be more willing to perform the necessary cleaning of the UV lamps at regular intervals. The replaceable UV light module also allows short downtime of the operation when a UV lamp fails. The invention, recorded in the module housing UV light module is suitable for both kitchen waste air purification systems as well as kitchen air cleaning systems. This means that not only new plants can be equipped, but existing plants can also be retrofitted. This is possible in a simple and cost-effective manner, in particular due to the modular module housing. Depending on the required throughput of the kitchen air cleaning system, a single such UV light module with module housing or a plurality of UV light modules arranged in parallel each arranged in a separate module housing can be used.
