Nebst der einfachen Handhabung einerseits beim Messerwechsel und anderseits beim Abnehmen des Handgriffs mit dem Führungsring muss die Vorrichtung in der Handhabung sehr sicher sein, um schwere Verletzungen durch das scharfe, mit hoher Drehzahl rotierende Messer zu vermeiden. Claims (6)

  1. Coupling assembly for a safety shutdown on a circular blade (10) which can be driven by a flexible drive shaft (11), comprising a rod-shaped handle (3) with a pipe-shaped housing (5), on the front end of which a head piece (7) for a blade guide ring (8) is detachably secured and in the rear end of which the drive end (9) of the drive shaft (11) is detachably secured, and a lever (13) hinged on the housing (5) of the handle (3) such that said lever can be swivelled to couple and uncouple the drive shaft (11) from the head piece (7) for the circular blade,
    characterised in that
    a first detent cam (57) and a second detent cam (59) are formed on the lever (13), wherein the first detent cam (57) is formed to maintain the operational function and the second detent cam (59) to hold firmly and to release the drive shaft (11) from the handle (3).
  2. Coupling assembly according to claim 1, characterised in that a locking bushing (23) is arranged in an insertable manner in the pipe-shaped housing (5) of the handle (3), wherein said bushing is secured on the drive shaft (11) and functions as a guide and orientation element for the coupling part on the drive shaft (11) with regard to a mating part (53) on the head part (7) for the circular blade.
  3. Coupling assembly according to claim 2, characterised in that an elastic material (61) lies on the locking bushing (23) and functions as a vibration and impact damper when uncoupling the drive shaft (11).
  4. Coupling assembly according to any one of claims 2 or 3, characterised in that a holding surface or a recess (27) is formed on the locking bushing (23), wherein the second detent cam (59) on the lever (13) engages in said surface or recess when the drive end (9) of the drive shaft (11) is inserted and said surface or recess holds the drive shaft (11) in the housing (5) against axial shifting.
  5. Coupling assembly according to any one of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that a holding surface (25) is formed on the locking bushing (23), wherein the first cam (57) on the lever (13) engages in said surface when the drive end (9) of the drive shaft (11) is inserted where the lever (13) is held in the working position.
  6. Coupling assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the lever (13) is held in a central position by spring force and can be brought either into the working position or into an ejection position by applying a counter force F, to release the handle (3) from the drive shaft (11).
