Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a fire door having a door frame and a door leaf as door elements, wherein the door frame defines a door level and the door leaf is pivotally mounted relative to the door frame about a substantially arranged in the door plane geometric pivot axis.
  • a securing element for locking the door leaf in the door frame in case of fire is present, which is formed on one of the door elements, in particular on the door, in the door rebate along a door edge, in particular a fire door according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention also relates to a retrofit kit for a Fire door according to the preamble of claim 16 and a use of a metal profile as a security element for a fire door according to the preamble of claim 17.
  • DE 32 39 177 A1 proposes to provide a closing device which can be activated in case of fire and locks the door in the door frame.
  • the locking is achieved in that a thermally activatable material, which is mounted in the door, actively moves a slidably mounted on the door latch in corresponding recesses of the frame or a counter-profile.
  • the thermally activatable material comprises, for example, an intumescent building material (eg intumescent material), which serves as a propellant for moving the bolt.
  • intumescent building material eg intumescent material
  • Such security elements are on the one hand relatively expensive to produce.
  • a possibly failing propellant is needed in an emergency.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages of the known.
  • a simple and reliable device is to be created in which a door can be locked or fixed in case of fire in the door frame and which is inexpensive.
  • Claim 1 relates to a fire door with a door frame and a door leaf as door elements, wherein the door frame defines a door level and the door leaf is pivotally mounted about a substantially arranged in the door plane geometric pivot axis with respect to the door frame.
  • a securing element for locking the door leaf in the door frame in case of fire is present, which is formed on one of the door elements, in particular on the door, in the door rebate along a door edge.
  • the invention is characterized in that the securing element is designed and arranged such that the door leaf can be locked in a direction perpendicular to the door plane by the securing element on a counter element of the other door element due to a movement of the door leaf with respect to the door frame, in particular over the full height of the door leaf.
  • a locking of the door leaf in the door frame here refers to the door leaf and door frame in which the fuse element Door fold no longer provided against each other, in particular in a direction perpendicular to the door plane, can be moved or pivoted.
  • the door elements door frame and door leaves are thus largely firmly connected to each other in the event of fire at the door edge provided with the securing element. In other words, the door can not be pushed out of the door frame.
  • Counter element can in this case a separately provided element such. designate a profile strip or even existing on the door elements anyway elements in the region of the door rebate such. a Falzlappen or other projections and / or grooves or undercuts. “Counter element” thus generally designates elements with which the securing element can cooperate for locking.
  • the "movement of the door leaf in the direction perpendicular to the door plane", which triggers the lock, denotes a predominantly translatory movement (in contrast to the pivoting movement in normal operation). This movement occurs e.g. due to a caused by the action of heat in case of fire curvature of the door leaf.
  • An advantage of the invention is thus that the fire door is designed such that the already occurring (and undesirable in itself) deformation of the door leaf leads to the desired locking in case of fire.
  • the securing element as well as the counter-element are designed and arranged such that the pivoting of the door leaf during normal operation (ie not in case of fire) without restrictions is possible. Due to the arrangement of the pivot axis in the door plane of the door of a novel fire door, if desired, be opened in both directions, ie be swung out on both sides.
  • the pivot axis runs essentially in the door plane, in which the door leaf is also arranged when the door is closed.
  • the pivot axis need not be exactly in the door plane, but may be slightly out of the door plane (i.e., substantially in the door plane), as such doors may also have some asymmetry.
  • the (imaginary) pivot axis can run in the area of the door leaf, or in the area of the door frame.
  • the securing element is arranged in a door rebate, in particular as a separate element on a door rebate facing end face of one of the door elements, i. door frame or door leaf. It is understood that the securing element (and / or the counter element) can also be designed as a molded part of the door element integrally formed on a frame of the corresponding door element.
  • the securing element extends over the entire length of the door edge provided with the securing element in order to ensure the most reliable and stable locking possible. It is also conceivable that, as required, a partial training is sufficient, e.g. only in a central area along the door edge.
  • the door edge provided with the securing element is preferably arranged near the pivot axis.
  • a lock with a bolt or a door trap is formed on the opposite door edge remote from the pivot axis, which in case of fire sufficiently locks the door leaf at this door edge. It is understood, however, that a lock or a door latch need not necessarily be present.
  • an advantage of the inventive fire door is in a passive design of the fuse element. That the lock is released solely due to a deformation of the door leaf under heat.
  • no special activated in case of fire materials are required as propellant for the functionality of the fuse element.
  • the security element for sealing the door rebate against flue gas and / or fire passage a Hitezeptierbares material such. comprise an intumescent material.
  • this may be e.g. be arranged in an outwardly open interior of the fuse element, so that the intumescent material can get into the door rebate, but is protected in the normal state in the interior of the fuse element against mechanical damage.
  • the securing element is designed and arranged such that it overlaps at least partially when the door is closed in a projection onto the door level with the counter element.
  • the unobstructed pivoting movement of the door leaf can be achieved in such a way that securing element and counter element are spaced apart in the direction perpendicular to the door plane.
  • the pivot axis of the inventive fire door which is arranged essentially in the door plane, the e.g. firmly swing the locking element formed on the door wing on the counter element.
  • said translational movement perpendicular to the door plane due to said overlap, e.g. to engage with the counter element and thus to lock.
  • the door leaf is lockable via a positive connection of the securing element with the counter element on the other door element.
  • a design of the securing element and the counter element as a tongue and groove or vice versa are conceivable.
  • the securing element and the counter element are largely complementary wedges, which allow the pivoting movement of the door without hindrance.
  • outer wedge surfaces of the securing element can lie within or on a circle concentric with the pivot axis, so that the pivoting movement is not hindered. Due to the overlap mentioned, the wedge surfaces a-wedge can wedge with the counter element in a translational movement of the door perpendicular to the door plane.
  • the securing element for locking the door leaf with the counter element latching for engagement can be brought.
  • latching engagement here is a double-sided rear handle referred to, so that the door is locked via the securing element in both directions perpendicular to the door plane on the counter element.
  • the securing element preferably has a latching groove which is open toward the door rebate and extends along the edge of the door, while the counterpart element comprises a latching projection extending substantially parallel to the latching groove.
  • the latching projection can thus be brought into engagement with the latching groove during the translatory movement, so that the door leaf is locked in both directions perpendicular to the door plane with respect to the said translatory movement.
  • the engagement does not need to take place over the entire length of the door edge, even if securing element and counter element extend over the entire length. Due to the relatively large forces acting in case of fire, the locking projection can be forced only partially into the locking groove, which at best comes to deformations.
  • the locking groove may be formed in different ways and the securing element may in particular comprise additional means which ensure a reliable engagement of the locking projection in the locking groove.
  • the securing element advantageously has a sliding surface on which, when the door leaf moves in the direction perpendicular to the door plane, the latching projection of the counter element slides into the latching groove.
  • the sliding surface is preferably formed on a side facing the counter element of the securing element.
  • the sliding surface may for example comprise a wedge-shaped ramp on which the locking projection of the counter-element can slide.
  • the sliding surface connects directly to the locking groove, so that the locking projection reaches the locking groove when reaching the end of the sliding surface.
  • the securing element comprises a metal profile, which is fastened in the door rebate along the door edge on the corresponding door element.
  • the metal profile extends over the entire length of the door edge provided with the securing element.
  • the metal profile is preferably formed in one piece, for example, elements with said sliding surface and / or additional support members may also be integrally formed to ensure a consistent engagement.
  • the metal profile is designed as a cold-rolled profile, in particular made of steel or stainless steel. This ensures that even with a longer lasting Fire case the metal profile can not melt and sufficient structural stability and reliable locking exists. In variants, however, it is basically conceivable that other materials are used.
  • the metal profile is preferably designed as a separate part, with the advantage that it can be attached as a separate part in principle for retrofitting existing fire doors to this.
  • the metal profile may e.g. screwed or welded or otherwise secured to the door element.
  • the metal profile can also be formed directly on a frame of the corresponding door element or integrally formed therewith.
  • a metal profile with a base profile which has a C-shaped profile cross-section that is essentially open towards the door rebate has proven to be particularly advantageous.
  • Such C-profiles have the advantage that a typically flat back of the C-shape can be used as a mounting surface for attachment to the corresponding door element.
  • the C-shape is open on the opposite side, so that an inner space can form the above-mentioned locking groove of the securing element.
  • the free arms of the base profile usually have inwardly directed wing extensions (in contrast to profiles called U-profiles).
  • These wing processes have the advantage that the free edges of the fuse element, for example, can catch particularly well with a counter element.
  • the metal profile is advantageously supported by lateral support elements on the corresponding door element, i. on the door element, on which the metal profile is arranged e.g. is attached.
  • the lateral support members are preferably formed and, e.g. formed on the base profile of the metal profile that a force is derived from the interior of the C-profile forth on the free arms of the C-shape outward, that is. the free arms of the C-profile are supported.
  • the base profile can thus absorb greater forces, which e.g. be exerted by the locking projection of the counter element of the locking groove ago.
  • the support elements are preferably designed such that they engage the free edges of the C-shape and extend laterally with respect to a longitudinal axis of the base profile, inclined toward the corresponding door element.
  • the support elements may be formed, for example, as angled support strips, which are preferably formed integrally with the base profile.
  • the support elements extend over the entire length of the metal profile.
  • Such laterally extending, to the corresponding door element inclined towards supporting elements also have the advantage that an outer surface of the support elements can provide the above-mentioned sliding surface.
  • the latching projection or the counter-element can slide with appropriate design of the support member on the outer surface and are guided over this to the latching groove.
  • the securing element need not be formed as a metal profile and also need not include a base profile with a C-shaped cross section.
  • other forms of training with other cross-sections of the base profiles such.
  • U-shape or one-sided locking e.g. an L-shape conceivable.
  • securing elements in the form of hooks or bolts are conceivable, which lock the door pointwise and not on continuous length areas, as is the case with profile strips preferred.
  • the counter element has a strip which, when the door is closed, extends substantially parallel to the door plane.
  • This bar forms e.g. the above locking projection.
  • a folding flap which is often present anyway in the case of relevant fire protection doors can be used.
  • the strip is integrally formed with a frame of the corresponding door element (as is usually the case anyway with such folding flap). Especially with cold-rolled steel profiles of the frame structures of the door elements thus results in a good structural stability.
  • a second, in particular largely identical, counter element is present.
  • the counter-elements are arranged in this case with the door closed with respect to the door plane on opposite sides of the fuse element. In this way it can be ensured that, regardless of the direction in which the door leaf is moved in the event of a fire, locking takes place via the securing element.

  • two formed as strips counter elements can also be provided by a U-shaped profile strip, which is attached to the corresponding door element.
  • the metal profile preferably has on both sides, preferably also identical, supporting elements as described above. In this way, a stable locking in both directions is equally ensured, in particular, two sliding surfaces may be present.

  • the finger protection device is designed and arranged at the door rebate in the region of the door edge, which is provided with the securing element the introduction of a finger is prevented in the door rebate regardless of a pivoting position of the door leaf.
  • Common finger protection devices ensure that the distance between the door leaf and the door frame is sufficiently small, regardless of the pivoting position, to effectively prevent the insertion of a finger.
  • the standard DIN / EN 18650 states that the distance between the door leaf and the door frame must not exceed 8 mm.
