Abstract

The present invention relates to a cooking top (1), in particular for household use, comprising:
- a base (10) and at least one burner (20), in particular a gas burner, associated with said base (10);
- a cover (30), in particular made of glassy material, with at least one aperture (31) for the passage of said at least one burner (20);
- a plate (40) associated with said cover (30), the plate (40) comprising at least one hole (41) associated with said first aperture (31) for the passage of said at least one burner (20);
- a heat shielding element (50) adapted to be associated with said at least one burner (20) and with said at least one aperture (31) and said at least one hole (41).
The invention is characterized in that said cover (30) comprises a step (32) positioned in the proximity of said aperture (31), said step (32) constituting a supporting element for the heat shielding element (50).
