Claims (8)

  1. A motor vehicle door hinge, comprising
    - a pillar bracket (3) which is able to be arranged on a motor vehicle body,
    - a door bracket (2) which is able to be connected to a motor vehicle door,
    - a hinge pin (5) connecting together the door bracket (2) and the pillar bracket (3) in an articulated manner, said hinge pin being connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the pillar bracket (3) and being connected in a rotationally articulated manner to the door bracket (4) and
    - a blocking unit (4), comprising
    - a braking insert (6) connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the door bracket (2) and having a braking surface (10) and
    - a blocking element (7) connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the hinge pin (5), said blocking element having retaining surfaces (9) which are able to be adjusted in the direction of the braking surface (10),
    characterised in that
    the retaining surfaces (9) are arranged on two blocking element arms (8a, 8b) configured integrally with the blocking element (7), said blocking element arms being able to be displaced in a resilient manner by means of an adjusting unit (11) in the direction of the braking surface (10) such that the retaining surfaces (9) bear against the braking surface (10), the braking insert (6) being arranged between the two blocking element arms (8a, 8b), each comprising one respective retaining surface (9), and the adjusting unit (11) being configured such that said adjusting unit presses the retaining surfaces (9) onto opposing braking surfaces (10) of the braking insert (6) and the adjusting unit (11) comprises an adjusting screw (14) by means of which the blocking element arms (8a, 8b) are able to be displaced in the direction of the braking insert (6), the adjusting screw (14) extending between the blocking element arms (8a, 8b) such that the distance between the blocking element arms (8a, 8b) is able to be adjusted via the adjusting screw (14).
  2. The motor vehicle door hinge according to claim 1, characterised in that the adjusting unit (11) comprises a spring element (15) which causes the retaining surfaces (9) to bear against the braking surface (10) by means of spring pretensioning.
  3. The motor vehicle door hinge according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the blocking element arms (8a, 8b) extend substantially at right angles to the hinge pin axis, the retaining surfaces (9) and the braking surface (10) also being preferably aligned at right angles to the hinge pin axis.
  4. The motor vehicle door hinge according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the braking surface (10) has a contoured surface.
  5. The motor vehicle door hinge according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the adjusting screw (14) extends substantially parallel to the hinge pin axis.
  6. The motor vehicle door hinge according to claim 2, characterised in that the spring element (15) is operatively connected to the adjusting screw (14) and the blocking element arms (8a, 8b) such that the retaining surfaces (9) of the blocking element arms (8a, 8b) bear against the braking surface (10) by means of spring pretensioning.
  7. The motor vehicle door hinge according to claim 6, characterised in that the spring element is formed by a spring washer (15) which is arranged between a screw head of the adjusting screw (14) and the surface of the blocking element arms (8a, 8b) opposing the retaining surface (9).
  8. The motor vehicle door hinge according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the blocking unit (4) is arranged in a housing (16) which has an access opening (18) for adjusting the adjusting screw (14).
