Abstract

The accessory (1) has U-shaped bent section (1-1) with legs (a,b), slit-shaped incision (1-2) and functional portion (1-3). A fastening element is designed as a slide valve type portion and a ridge-like portion with support portions. A heating pipe of radiator is positioned such that legs on underlying heating tube are fixed by introducing the web-like portion in slit-shaped incision with respect to radiator.

Description

The invention relates to accessories and a fastener for fixing them to a radiator, in particular to radiators with horizontal heating pipes and vertical manifolds. The tubes of the radiator are preferably round. But you can also have all other known cross-sectional shapes. The heating tubes are arranged in parallel and more or less spaced from each other.

Accessories are towel holders, hooks, trays, hangers, etc. Towel holders for bathroom radiators, in particular, are already fixed to the radiator at the factory and are generally not removable again. Frequently, such towel radiators also have no special additional towel rails or other accessories, although this is often desired by the consumer.

A radiator with factory pre-assembled separate towel holder is eg in the DE 297 14 143 U1 described.

There are also known radiators, which subsequently, so after their preparation, can be provided with a clip-on holder. Such a radiator is in the DE 297 18 898 U1 described. However, this is a plate-shaped radiator. The clip-on bracket is not suitable for tubular heaters with horizontal heating pipes and vertical headers.

In the DE 200 08 342 U1 a radiator clamp is disclosed for mounting to tubular radiators. According to one embodiment of this invention, it is provided that a functional element for hanging towels and the like is arranged on the clamping element. The clamping element is in this case clamped in a form-fitting manner to a heating pipe, partially enclosing it. In the DE 202005004531 U an accessory and fastener according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed.

The object of the invention is to introduce accessories and a fastener for their subsequent attachment to a radiator, which is to be a simple way of attachment and the elements are inexpensive to produce.

According to the invention, this object is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are contained in the accompanying claims.

Accordingly, the invention includes an accessory and a fastener for attaching the accessory to a radiator with horizontal, parallel heating tubes, wherein the accessory comprises at least one U-shaped bent portion, wherein on a leg of the section, a horizontal slot-shaped incision is provided and on other legs of the section a functional section is provided. The fastener is designed as a slider-like part and has a in approximately centrally located web-like section on and off thereof respectively oppositely arranged support sections. The U-shaped bent portion of the accessory is placed around a heating tube of the radiator, with a leg on the underlying heating tube to the plant and by introducing the web-like portion in the slot-shaped incision, the accessory can be fixed to the radiator.

According to a particular feature of the invention it is provided that the leg lengths of the two legs and the opening angle of the U-shaped bent portion of the accessory depending on the tube diameter of the heating tubes and the distance between these heating tubes are formed. According to a further feature of the invention it is provided that the respective oppositely arranged support sections have mutually parallel spring tongues. In particular, it is provided that the respectively oppositely arranged support portions are formed asymmetrically, wherein the spring tongues have different material thicknesses and distances from each other.

Depending on the mounting position such a tight fit can be achieved with tolerance variations of the pipe diameter and differences in the thickness of the coating of the radiator. Material and design of the fastener so allow a degree of flexibility that is required for backlash-free attachment.

The attachment of the rear support section to the underlying heating tube, the accessory can not be raised.

Particularly preferably, it is provided that the functional portion is designed as a one-sided open bracket for the lateral insertion of towels or other textiles.

According to a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the functional portion is formed as a hook or shelf. Advantageously, it is also provided that the accessory comprises two U-shaped bent sections, which are connected to each other via a functional portion and the functional portion thereby forms a towel holder or a tray.

The illustrated in the drawing FIGS. 1 to 5 show various accessories 1 with a fastener 2 to its attachment to a radiator 3, with horizontal parallel heating pipes 3n and vertical manifolds.

The accessories 1 comprise at least one U-shaped bent portion 1.1, wherein on a leg a of the section 1.1, a horizontal, slit-shaped incision 1.2 is provided and on the other leg b of section 1.1, a functional section 1.3 is provided. The functional section 1.3 is in the Fig. 1 and 2 designed as a one-sided open bracket. In the Fig. 3 the functional section 1.3 formed as a hook.

In the Fig. 4 and 5 Variants of the invention are shown, according to which the accessories 1 comprise two U-shaped bent portions 1.1, which are connected to each other via a functional portion 1.3), wherein the functional sections thereby a towel holder ( Fig. 4 ) or a file ( Fig. 5 ) form.

The fastening element 2 is designed as a slider-like part and has an approximately centrally located web-like section 2.1 on and outgoing, respectively oppositely arranged support sections 2.2, 2.3. The respectively oppositely arranged support sections 2.2, 2.3 have mutually parallel spring tongues 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.3.1, 2.3.2, wherein the respective oppositely arranged support sections 2.2, 2.3 are formed asymmetrically and wherein the spring tongues 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.3.1, 2.3.2 have different material thicknesses and distances from each other. Fig. 2a clearly shows that the U-shaped bent section 1.1 of the accessory 1 can be placed around a heating tube 3.1 of the radiator 3, the leg a on the underlying heating tube 3.2 comes to rest and by introducing the web-like section 2.1 in the slot-shaped incision 1.2 the Accessory 1 is fixed to the radiator 3. The leg lengths of the legs a, b and the opening angle of the u-shaped bent portion 1.1 of the accessory are formed depending on the pipe diameter of the heating pipes 3.1, 3.2 and the distance between these heating pipes.

Claims (7)

1. An accessory and fixing element for fixing the accessory to a heater having horizontal heating tubes running parallel, with

   - the accessory (1) comprising at least one section (1.1) bent into a U-shape and a functional section (1.3) being provided on a leg (b) of the section (1.1); characterised in that

   - a horizontal, slot-like recess (1.2) is provided on the other leg (a) of the section (1.1);

   - the fixing element (2) is configured as a slider-like part and exhibits an approximately centrally located web-like section (2.1) having support sections (2.2, 2.3) branching off from it and being arranged opposite one another;

   - the section (1.1) of the accessory that is bent into a U-shape being able to be located about a heating tube (3.1) of the heater (3), with the leg (a) coming to rest on the underlying heating tube (3.2) and the accessory (1) being fixable to the heater (3) by the introduction of the web-like section (2.1) into the slot-like recess (1.2).

The accessory and fixing element of claim 1 wherein the leg lengths of the legs (a, b) and the aperture angle of the section (1.1) of the accessory (1) that is bent into a U-shape are configured depending on the tube diameter of the heating tubes (3.1, 3.2) and of the distance between these heating tubes.
3. The accessory and fixing element of claims 1 and 2 wherein the support sections (2.2, 2.3) arranged opposite one another exhibit spring tongues (2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.3.1, 2.3.2) disposed parallel to one another.
4. The accessory and fixing element of claim 3 wherein the support sections (2.2, 2.3) arranged opposite one another are asymmetrically configured, with the spring tongues (2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.3.1, 2.3.2) exhibiting different material thicknesses and reciprocal distances.
5. The accessory and fixing element of any one of preceding claims 1 to 3 wherein the functional section (1.3) is configured as a bow open to one side.
6. The accessory and fixing element of any one of preceding claims 1 to 3 wherein the functional section (1.3) is configured as a hook or shelf.
7. The accessory and fixing element of any one of the preceding claims wherein the accessory (1) comprises two sections (1.1) bent into a U-shape and which are interconnected by a functional section (1.3), with the functional section forming a towel-holder or a shelf.
