Abstract

The invention would be referred at construction field, in particular to systems of decoration of corners, surface joints sometimes uneven and may be used for floor-to-wall junctions sealing.
Skirting -board profile is implemented from agglomerated cork - 1, consisted of high-temperature pressed crumbs of oak-tree cork. Outer decorative skirting -board part - 2 is made as a sheet of natural fine-wood veneer.
Veneer sheet 2 is installed at front surface of skirting -board mounting part till surface part implemented as rounded edge 5.
Implemented skirting -board design is flexible, waterproof, elastic due to used constructive materials and is easily mounted at any uneven or complicated wall and floor surfaces.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The Invention is referred to construction application, in particular to decoration of corners, surfaces joints having sometimes uneven portions and also may be used for sealing of floor-to-wall joints.
    • PRIOR ART
  • Skirting-board design is known (Patent for ΠM Nº 81513 from 20.03.2009 ) providing precise seating of skirting -board edges all length along surface of walls, floor or ceiling in any case, including uneven surfaces of floor, wall or ceiling..
  • The skirting -board is designed as long-sized part of same profile and has figured face surface with lengthwise chute; long-size part is made of polymer and has curved line at cross-section divided at three sections - two sides and central; long-sized part has elastic edges for interacting with surface during skirting - board mounting and compensation of its unevenness.
  • Skirting -board is known in shape of polymer profile with glowing effect (Patent for ΠM Nº 82734 from 10.05.2009 )
  • Polymer profile with glowing effect includes a polymer layer and ground coat deposited on it, contained particles of fragmented polymer for decoration purposes which according to useful model are luminophor of prolonged or short-time glowing.
  • Skirting -board profile is known of invention claim Nº 2003100091 edited at 20.12.2004. Skirting -board profile for joint between wall and preferably floating floors has front and rear surfaces. At front surface sheet of decorative and flexible plastic is situated going from bottom edge of front surface further from rounded edge of side wall or further from upper surface, inclined to rear surface.

  • The skirting -board is known (ΠM 17789 from 27.04.2001 ), referred to profile materials for sealing of floor-to-wall joints.
  • The skirting -board is a profile part which working ribs are disposed at right angle to each other. Working ribs contain the layer from elastic waterproof material.
  • As skirting -board at ΠM Nº 17789 drawbacks the mounting complexity may be referred when mounting on uneven surfaces of floor, walls or ceiling.
    • DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
  • The destination layed as a base of the invention is to achieve the design of single-element skirting -board which external masking side and internal mounting part have flexible mutual junction providing free bending of skirting - board at upper and/or lower part of its masking part.
  • Technical result is contained in easier mounting process of skirting -boards in conditions of uneven setting surfaces and providing high-quality of corners and joints decoration of walls having uneven spots.
  • Stated task is achieved by implementing of skirting -board profile from agglomerated oak cork consisted of cork oak crumbs compressed at high temperature. Skirting -board outer decorative part is implemented as sheet of natural veneer of precious timber species.
  • Sheet of decorative veneer is placed upon front surface of skirting -board mounting part till surface part made in shape of rounded edge.
  • Implemented skirting -board design is flexible, waterproof, elastic due to materials used for skirting -board manufacturing, and easily mounted at any uneven or complicated wall-floor surfaces.
    • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • Fig.1 presents skirting -board general view, cross section, where 1 - mounting part made from pressed cork, 2- veneer sheet from fine-wood , 3 - contact layer of glue composition - universal contact glue DEKOL VERN for cork coating made in Portugal , 4- polyurethane varnish layer, 5 - rounded edge as seal.
  • The facility is serving as follows:
    • Skirting -board in shape of long-sized part is located onto pre-prepared surfaces of walls at its joints, then press it at corner direction so that skirting - board edges would cling tight due to their elasticity onto wall or floor surfaces which for example may be uneven. Skirting -board edge 4 due to its flexible feature would get into contact with wall surface along full skirting -board length. Then skirting -board is to be glued at its greater part to wall surface by means of contact glue or fluid nails.
    INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
  • Designed product has a feature of attractive decoration of wall-to-floor joints due to application of fine-wood veneer ; product is pollution-free as non-containing plastics and synthetic resins.
  • Product industrial usage is provided at existent equipment with application of known technological operations.

Claims (1)

  1. Skirting -board profile for wall-to-floor junction, including main mounting part, distinguished by manufacturing from agglomerated cork based on cork-crumbs of cork oak, skirting -board external decorative part is made of natural fine-wood veneer sheet, furthermore veneer sheet is installed on front surface of skirting -board mounting part till surface part implemented as rounded edge.
