Solche Kupplungen sind grundsätzlich bekannt und mit unterschiedlichen Anwendungen im Einsatz. Sie werden überall dort verwendet, wo zwei elektrische Leitungen zur Durchverbindung von elektrischen Übertragungswegen steckbar miteinander verbunden werden. Dabei kommt es in den meisten Anwendungsfälien nur darauf an, daß die zusammengesteckten Kontaktelemente ausreichend fest aneinander bzw. ineinander liegen. Das gilt auch für den Einsatz der Kupplungen für Leitungen, die in Kraftfahrzeugen verlegt sind. Hier kommt aber hinzu, daß die Leitungen und auch die Kupplungen allen Erschütterungen, insbesondere auch Vibrationen, ausgesetzt sind, die beim Getrieb eines Fahrzeuges auftreten. Durch solche Erschütterungen können Relativbewegungen zwischen den Kontaktelementen entstehen, durch welche der elektrische Kontakt zwischen denselben mit entsprechend erhöhten Übergangswiderständen verschlechtert wird.Such couplings are basically known and used with different applications. Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der Erfindung dadurch gelöst,
- daß die Kontaktelemente des Buchsengehäuses mit ihren Außenflächen dicht am Material des Schutzkörpers desselben anliegen,
- daß der Schutzkörper des Buchsengehäuses auf seiner Steckseite in radialer Richtung elastisch verformbar und mit sich zum Ende des Schutzkörpers verkleinernden äußerem Abmessungen konisch ausgeführt ist,
- daß die zu den Kontaktelementen des Buchsengehäuses komplementären Kontaktelemente des Stiftgehäuses fest und unverrückbar im Schutzkörper des Stiftgehäuses angebracht sind,
- daß der Schutzkörper des Stiftgehäuses einen Aufnahmeraum aufweist, der analog zum Schutzkörper des Buchsengehäuse zu dessen Aufnahme konisch ausgeführt ist, und
- daß die lichten radialen Abmessungen des Aufnahmeraums des Stiftgehäuses geringfügig kleiner als die radialen Außenabmessungen des Buchsengehäuse sind.

Das Material des Schutzkörpers des Buchsengehäuses wird dadurch zusätzlich gegen die von demselben eng umgebenen, beispielsweise als Buchsenkontakte ausgeführten Kontaktelemente gedrückt. Diese Kontaktelemente sind damit auf Dauer unverrückbar im Buchsengehäuse festgelegt. Das gilt auch für die beispielsweise als Stifte ausgeführten Kontaktelemente des Stiftgehäuses, die fest und unverrückbar in dessen Schutzkörper angebracht sind. Buchsengehäuse und Stiftgehäuse sind in der fertiggestellten Kupplung wegen des geringen Untermaßes des Aufnahmeraums des Stiftgehäuses gegenüber dem Buchsengehäuse ebenfalls fest zusammengesteckt, so daß eine Relativbewegung zwischen den jeweiligen Kontaktelementen ausgeschlossen werden kann. Die Kontaktsicherheit der Kupplung ist damit auf Dauer in hoher Qualität gesichert, auch wenn dieselbe wiederholt und auch über einen längere Zeitraum Vibrationen ausgesetzt ist.In this coupling, the elastically deformable female housing is compressed in the assembled state by the pin housing, because its receiving space compared to the outer dimensions of the female housing has smaller, light dimensions. Die Kupplung nach der Erfindung wird im folgenden in einer Ausführungsform mit zwei Kontaktelementen zum Anschluß von zweiadrigen elektrischen Leitungen beschrieben. Sie kann aber für Leitungen mit mehr als zwei Adern auch mehr als zwei Kontaktelemente haben. Die geometrische Form der ineinander steckbaren Kontaktelemente ist beliebig, solange ein fester Sitz derselbe ineinander geweben ist. Sie sind in den Zeichnungen nur schematisch angedeutet. Stellvertretend für andere Ausführungsformen werden in der folgenden Beschreibung die Kontaktelemente des Buchsengehäuse als "Buchsenkontakte" und die des Stiftgehäuses als "Stifte" bezeichnet.The coupling according to the invention will be described below in an embodiment with two contact elements for connecting two-wire electrical lines. Dabei legen sie sich dicht an die Wandungen der Ausnehmungen des Schutzkörper 7 an. Um die Adern 10 und 11 herum können innerhalb des Schutzkörpers 7 Dichtelemente 12 und 13 angebracht sein, welche die Buchsenkontakte 8 und 9 gegenüber Feuchtigkeit schützen, die gegebenenfalls über die Adern 10 und 11 eindringen könnte. Die Dichtelemente 12 und 13 verhindern auch die Übertragung von mechanischen Belastungen, insbesondere von Vibrationen, von der Adern 10 und 11 auf die Buchsenkontakte 8 und 9.The
Die Stifte 3 und 4 des Stiftgehäuses S sind so bemessen, daß sie mit hoher Kontaktgabe in die Buchsenkontokte 8 und 9 des Buchsenteil B passen. Sie sind fest und unverrückbar im Schutzkörper 1 des Stiftgehäuses S angebracht. In der fertigen Kopplung greifen die Stifte 3 und 4 in die Buchsenkontakte 8 und 9 ein. Die lichte Weite des Aufnahmeraums 2 des Stiftgehäuses S ist in dessen radialer Richtung etwas kleiner als die radialen Außenabmessungen des Buchsengehäuses B. Der entsprechende Unterschied in den Abmessungen von Aufnahmeraum 2 des Stiftgehäuses S und Buchsengehäuses B muß so bemessen sein, daß das Buchsengehäuse B ohne allzu großen Kraftaufwand in das Stiftgehäuses S eingesteckt werden kann. Er soll aber ausreichend groß sein, um sicherzustellen, daß das Buchsengehäuse B zumindest in seinem die Buchsenkontakte 8 und 9 umgebenden Bereich elastisch zusammengedrückt wird. Das Material des Schutzkörpers 7 wird dann zusätzlich an die Buchsenkontakte 8 und 9 angedrückt.The
Um die elastische Verformbarkeit des Schutzkörpers 7 des Buchsengehäuses B zur verbessern, kann derselbe mit Vorteil im Bereich der Buchsenkontakte 8 und 9 mindestens einen in axialer Richtung verlaufenden Schlitz 14 aufweisen, dessen Länge vorzugsweise der Länge der Buchsenkontakte 8 und 9 entspricht.
