Description
Die Erfindung beschäftig sich mit einer Vorrichtung und einem Verfahren zur Abdeckung, beispielsweise einer Leuchtspur oder dergleichen, die sich in der Regel im Heckteil eines Geschosskörpers befindet und mit der Thematik, dass die Leuchtspur oder derartige Inhalte luftdicht verschlossen sein muss, da die sonst eindringende Feuchtigkeit etc. dazu führen kann, dass beispielsweise die Leuchtspur - Pyrotechnik- nicht mehr oder nur unzureichend abbrennt. Dazu wird ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, bei dem eine Abdeckung, bevorzugt ein Abdeckring, während des Umformprozesses durch eine axiale Vorschubbewegung eines (starren) Stempels, vorzugsweise aus Metall, radial in eine vorzugsweise vollständig umlaufende Nutkontur des Geschosskörpers gepresst wird. Der Nachteil bei der Umformung liegt unter anderem darin, dass oftmals gegensätzliche Anforderungen an das Geschosskörpermaterial gestellt werden. Für die endballistische Wirksamkeit werden harte oder schwer bis nicht verformbare Materialeigenschaften vorausgesetzt, während für den Umformprozess wie Bördeln, Verstemmen etc. weiche oder duktile Materialeigenschaften die Voraussetzung sind. Daher wird der umzuformende Bereich des Geschosskörpermaterials durch Anwendung von Wärmebehandlungsverfahren in den Zustand weich bzw. duktil überführt, was jedoch sehr aufwändig und kosten- wie auch zeitintensiv ist. Die Prozessstabilität ist zudem unter großem Aufwand einzuhalten. Die Bildung von Rissen im Material, die beim Härten oder bei der Umformung entstehen können, sind selbst durch die anschließende oder dem Umformungsprozess voran gegangene Wärmebehandlungsverfahren nicht auszuschließen und können als mögliche Fehlerquellen zum Versagen der Abdeckung führen. Schraube und Mutter müssen hingegen nur einer Oberflächenbehandlung unterzogen werden, beispielsweise Hartanodisieren, der Aufwand bei der Montage ist hingegen höher, da Maßnahmen zur Schraubensicherung notwendig sind. Führungsflächen zur besseren Montage nehmen einen entsprechenden Bauraum in Anspruch. Dazu wird ein Teil der Abdeckung radial durch einen vorzugsweise starren Stempel, der sich ausschließlich nur axial zu bewegen braucht und mit einer speziellen Außenkontur versehen ist, in eine umlaufende Nutkontur im Geschosskörper gepresst. Die Außenkontur sollte dabei auf die Nutkontur (oder umgekehrt) abgestimmt sein, damit das von dem in der Vorwärtsbewegung befindlichen Stempel radial umgeformte Material der Abdeckung in die Nutkontur des Geschosskörpers hineingedrückt werden kann und die Abdeckung nach der Umformung über keinerlei Freiheitsgrade mehr verfügt, sodass diese zur Leuchtspur oder dergleichen fixiert ist.
