Description

Die Erfindung beschäftig sich mit einer Vorrichtung und einem Verfahren zur Abdeckung, beispielsweise einer Leuchtspur oder dergleichen, die sich in der Regel im Heckteil eines Geschosskörpers befindet und mit der Thematik, dass die Leuchtspur oder derartige Inhalte luftdicht verschlossen sein muss, da die sonst eindringende Feuchtigkeit etc. dazu führen kann, dass beispielsweise die Leuchtspur - Pyrotechnik- nicht mehr oder nur unzureichend abbrennt. Dazu wird ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, bei dem eine Abdeckung, bevorzugt ein Abdeckring, während des Umformprozesses durch eine axiale Vorschubbewegung eines (starren) Stempels, vorzugsweise aus Metall, radial in eine vorzugsweise vollständig umlaufende Nutkontur des Geschosskörpers gepresst wird. Daher wird der umzuformende Bereich des Geschosskörpermaterials durch Anwendung von Wärmebehandlungsverfahren in den Zustand weich bzw. duktil überführt, was jedoch sehr aufwändig und kosten- wie auch zeitintensiv ist. Schraube und Mutter müssen hingegen nur einer Oberflächenbehandlung unterzogen werden, beispielsweise Hartanodisieren, der Aufwand bei der Montage ist hingegen höher, da Maßnahmen zur Schraubensicherung notwendig sind. Führungsflächen zur besseren Montage nehmen einen entsprechenden Bauraum in Anspruch.     • the projectile (10) having a grooved contour (8) in the rear part (1),
    • the covering (6) being implemented as a covering ring which fixes a covering disc (4) of the covering (6) in the rear part (1),
    • a plunger (5) as part of the fixing device, wherein
    • the plunger (5) has a specific external contour (7) which is matched to the grooved contour (8) of the body of the projectile (10) or vice versa,
    • the plunger (5), in a forward movement or in an axial movement, forces the radially reshaped material of the covering ring (6) into the grooved contour (8) of the body of the projectile (10).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the grooved contour (8) is circumferential.
  3. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the grooved contour (8) is completely circumferential.
  4. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the plunger (5) consists of a rigid material such as a metal.
  5. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the covering ring (6) and the covering disc (4) form a one-part structural unit.
  6. Method for the air-tight sealing of a bore (11) in a projectile (10) with a covering (6), a tracer (2, 3) or other components being located in the bore (11) in the rear part (1) of the projectile (10), with the aid of the device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized by the steps:
    - laying the covering disc (4) and the covering (6) in a recess (12) provided for that purpose in the body of the projectile (10),
    - pressing the covering (6) into the grooved contour (8) in the projectile (10) above and/or within the bore (11) by means of an axial movement of the plunger (5) with respect to the covering (6) to be deformed into the grooved contour (8) in the body of the projectile (10) in order to fix the covering disc (4) by means of the covering (6).
  7. Method according to Claim 6, characterized in that the tracer (2, 3) is pressed into the bore (11) in the projectile (10) before the covering ring (6) is deformed.
  8. Method according to Claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the covering ring (6) is deformed from the inside towards the outside.
