Die Erfindung geht damit einen neuen Weg, in dem nicht, wie aus dem Stand der Technik bekannt, zusätzliche Schaltungselemente separat von der Anordnung bzw. dem Steuerungs- und/oder Datenübertragungsmodul und/oder dem E/A Steckmodul, beispielsweise auf einer weiteren Montageschiene, angeordnet werden, sondern in und/oder auf dem Eingabe/Ausgabe (E/A) Steckmodul angeordnet sind. Somit lässt sich in besonders einfacher Weise zum einen ein Schaltungselement nachträglich an einem E/A Steckmodul anordnen, also beispielsweise nachdem das Steuerungs-und/oder Datenübertragungsmodul und die E/A Steckmodule in einem Schaltschrank auf einer Montageschiene angeordnet wurden, oder aber in alternativer bzw. zusätzlicher Weise ein E/A Steckmodul gegen ein anderes E/A Steckmodul austauschen, welches das für die Anlage benötigte Schaltungselement aufweist. Durch die erfindungsgemäße Anordnung wird es also insbesondere in Schaltschränken mit hohen Packungsdichten möglich, dass die installierten Automatisierungslösungen äußerst flexibel an geänderte Anlagenanforderungen angepasst werden können, beispielsweise bei sogenannten "last minute"-Änderungen in der Erprobungsphase der Anlage, ohne dass zusätzlicher Platz auf der Montageschiene benötigt wird, und ohne dass die Verdrahtung der das Steuerungs- und/oder Datenübertragungsmodul sowie der die E/A Steckmodule umfassenden Automatisierungslösungen in aufwändiger Weise geändert werden muss oder der Schaltschrank dazu umgebaut werden muss. Ebenfalls ermöglicht die erfindungsgemäße Anordnung, dass die E/A Steckmodule weiterhin in besonders günstiger Weise herstellbar sind, da nicht alle möglicherweise benötigten Schaltungselemente "auf Vorrat" in dem E/A-Steckmodul bereits bei der Herstellung des E/A Steckmoduls integriert sein müssen, somit also das E/A Steckmodul, wie bisher, in unveränderter Größe herstellbar ist, allerdings bei Bedarf benötigte zusätzliche Schaltungselemente in besonders flexibler und einfacher Weise in und/oder auf einem E/A Steckmodul angeordnet werden können. Claims (10)
jedes E/A Steckmodul (3) eine Mehrzahl von Klemmkontakten (8) zum Anschließen der Anlage aufweist,
jedes E/A Steckmodul (3) eine Mehrzahl von Steckkontakten (5) zum Aufstecken auf das Steuerungs-und/oder Datenübertragungsmodul (1) derart aufweist, dass im aufgesteckten Zustand eine elektrische Verbindung zwischen dem E/A Steckmodul (3) und dem Steuerungs-und/oder Datenübertragungsmodul (1) hergestellt ist, und
