Description
- The present invention relates to a cooking oven with a front frame and an oven door swival-mounted at said front frame, wherein the oven door includes an integrated air stream channel.
- A cooking oven, in particular a freestanding cooking oven, has usually an oven door cooling system, in which the air is sucked out of the oven door by the Venturi effect. The hot air streams upwards within the oven door and is blown out at the top of said oven door. Thus, the escaping hot air touches the hips of the user.
-
EP 0 834 701 A1 discloses a cooking oven with a cooled oven door seal. The oven door seal is vented by an air guiding system. There is no air stream within the oven door. -
DE 102 02 495 A1 discloses a cooking oven with a cooling system for the oven door. An air stream is guided along the outer face of the oven door. -
DE 28 45 869 A1 discloses a cooking oven with an air guiding system. An air stream cooling the oven door moves downwardly within said oven door. After leaving the oven door the air stream enters the oven cavity. -
EP 0 900 984 A1 discloses a cooking oven with an air stream channel within the oven door. The air stream moves upwards within the oven door. - It is an object of the present invention to provide a cooking oven with an oven door including an air stream channel, wherein the emergent air stream causes no problem for the user.
- The object of the present invention is achieved by the cooking oven according to claim 1.
- According to the present invention:
- the oven door includes at least two door panels and at least one air stream channel between said door panels,
- the air stream channel is provided for a downward air stream within the oven door for cooling said oven door,
- the cooking oven includes an elongated spoiler arranged below the oven door, and
- the spoiler extends parallel to a bottom side of the oven door,
- so that the air stream escaping from the air stream channel is redirected forward by said spoiler
- The main idea of the present invention is the spoiler arranged below the oven door, in which the hot air streams downwardly in the air stream channel. The spoiler guides said hot air leaving the air stream channel into the front of the cooking oven. Thus, the hot air leaves the cooking oven in such a height, which causes no problems for the user.
- According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention the spoiler comprises an elongated sheet with a curve.
- The curve may be bent perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the spoiler.
- Preferably, the upper side of the spoiler is a concave side.
- Further, the oven door may comprise at least two door columns for supporting the door panels.
- For example, the spoiler is fixed at the bottom side of the oven door. In this case, the spoiler may be fixed at the door columns.
- Alternatively, the spoiler may be fixed at the front frame.
- According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the spoiler is embossed in a bottom part of the front frame.
- According to another embodiment, the spoiler is fixed at a front panel arranged below the oven door. For example, the front panel may be a drawer front of a drawer arranged below an oven cavity closed or closable by the oven door.
- Further, the air stream may be driven by a fan arranged in a wall of the oven cavity.
- Moreover, the spoiler may be made of plastics or metal.
- At last, the present invention relates to a spoiler comprising an elongated sheet with a curve, wherein the curve is bent perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of said spoiler. The spoiler is provided for a cooking oven described above.
- Novel and inventive features of the present invention are set forth in the appended claims.
- The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the drawings, in which
