Definitions
- the invention relates to a supply device for filling a coin module with coins containing at least one coin storage accommodating the coins and comprising a housing surrounding the coin store with an input opening closable via a first closure element for inserting the coins into the coin store and with a dispensing opening closable via a second closure element Remove the coins from the coin store.
- the supply cassette has a coin store for storing the coins and a housing with typically two openings.
- a first opening is formed as an input port. It serves to fill the coin store with coins.
- the filling of the supply cassette usually takes place in a coin dispensing station outside the salesrooms.
- the first opening will typically be formed as a closable opening.
- a second opening is formed as a discharge opening. It serves to remove coins from the coin store.
- the dispensing opening can only be opened if the supply cassette is attached directly to a filling opening of the coin module or firmly locked to the coin module.
- the coins fall when opening the dispensing opening directly from the coin storage of the supply cassette in the example funnel-shaped filling opening of the coin module and are moved from there into a separate coin storage of the coin module.
- coin storage of the supply cassette coins are usually stored unsorted.
- the supply cassette is equipped with a coin mixture, which is based on the typical coin requirements of the coin module and to ensure that the coin module can be operated independently over a predetermined time. This is the case if the requested change can be paid out to the customer at any time.
- Object of the present invention is therefore to develop a supply device for filling a coin module with coins such that a plurality of coin modules can be filled with a single supply device.
- the invention is in connection with the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that the coin store is formed by a rotatably disposed in the housing coin drum, wherein in the coin drum a storage chamber is provided for coins into which the coins via the input port and wherein in the coin drum a supply chamber for coins is provided, from which the coins are removable from the discharge opening and that between the storage chamber and the supply chamber, a passage is formed, which is arranged and formed such that coins in a rotation of the Coin drum around one The axis of rotation of the same from the storage chamber into the preparation chamber.
- the coin store arranged in the housing has two storage chambers, of which a storage chamber is designed as a supply chamber and can be emptied into the coin module, while the coins stored in a storage chamber designed as a storage chamber remain in the supply device during the filling of the coin module ,
- the supply device is not completely emptied when filling the coin module.
- several coin modules can thus be filled with coins with a single supply device.
- the space requirement which, for example, reduce transport costs.
- coins stored in the storage chamber can be brought into the delivery chamber.
- a passage is provided between the storage chambers.
- coins By rotating the coin drum about the axis of rotation of the supply device, coins pass through the passage from the storage chamber into the delivery chamber. The filling of the preparation chamber takes place so far automatically during the rotation. After the preparation chamber is filled with coins again, another coin module can be filled.
- the coin drum on a coin drum housing and a pivotally mounted on the coin drum housing closure element for closing a recess of the supply chamber results in a very simple construction of the coin drum with essentially two easy-to-install modules.
- the axis of rotation about which the coin drum is rotatably mounted with respect to the housing, and a pivot axis of the closure element may, for example, be oriented parallel and spaced apart from one another.
- the closure element has a support section and a closing section.
- a closed position of the closure element the closure element is supported by the support section on the housing of the supply device.
- the discharge opening of the housing is closed in this case.
- the closing section of the closure element is assigned to the provisioning chamber in such a way that, in the closed position, the closing section forms a wall of the provisioning chamber and closes the recess of the provisioning chamber.
- the closing section is arranged in such a pivoted manner relative to the closed position that the recess of the provisioning chamber is released and the coins stored in the provisioning chamber can be removed through the recess of the provisioning chamber and the dispensing opening of the housing.
- the closure element can be formed as a passive closure element.
- Actuating means for actuating the closure element must not be provided.
- the output opening of the housing may be associated with the closure element in the open position such that the closure element is freely rotatable about the pivot axis and does not lean against the housing with the support section.
- the closure element can be designed as a self-opening closure element.
- the closed by the closing portion of the closure element recess of the supply chamber can be arranged such that the coins stored in the supply chamber coins with its own weight on the closing section with the result that the closure element pivots into the open position, as soon as the support portion of the closure element no longer rests against the housing.
- the coin drum housing has two spaced-apart, frontal walls and a radial walls connecting the frontal walls.
- the radial wall is spirally formed with a radially outer free edge portion and a radially inner circumferential free edge portion seen.
- a radial offset between the outer free edge portion and the radial wall itself forms the recess of the delivery chamber, and a radial offset between the inner free edge portion and the radial wall of the coin drum housing defines the storage chamber communicating with the supply chamber.
- the coin drum housing in a particularly simple manner be formed by substantially three walls. The passage and the recess are thereby created during assembly of the coin drum housing, without separate manufacturing steps are required.
- the walls can for example be made of sheet-shaped semi-finished products, in particular steel sheets or the like, by means of stamping, cutting or the like.
- the storage chamber is made larger than the provision chamber.
- this can be stored in the storage chamber of the coin store large amounts of coins and sequentially a plurality of coin modules are filled.
- the coins provided in the storage chamber are portioned by a part of the coins are moved by rotation of the coin drum about the axis of rotation in the preparation chamber and emptied from there into a filling opening of the coin module.
- a supply device essentially consists of a coin drum 1 and a housing 2 surrounding the coin drum 1.
- the coin drum 1 is rotatably mounted in the housing 2 about an axis of rotation 3 and forms a coin store for the coins with a large one Storage chamber 4 and a small supply chamber 5.
- the storage chamber 4 and the supply chamber 5 are connected to each other via a passage 8. From the provision chamber 5, the coins can be removed through a recess 6 of the preparation chamber 5 and a discharge opening 7 of the housing 2.
- the supply device has an input opening, not shown.
- the coins are not shown individually for the sake of simplicity. Instead, the hatched areas in the storage chamber 4 and the supply chamber 5 show by way of example the degree of filling of the chambers 4, 5 with coins.
- the supply device can be used, for example, instead of the supply cassettes used today to equip a coin module of a cash register system, a self-service terminal or the like with coins.
- the storage chamber 4 of the supply device is this - usually filled in a specially secured coin dispensing station - with coins.
- the supply device is then attached to a filling opening of a coin module. Some of the coins stored in the storage chamber 4 pass through the passage 8 into the delivery chamber 5.
- the coins stored in the delivery chamber 5 are then emptied into a filling opening of the coin module, in which the delivery opening 7 of the supply device is released. From the filling opening of the coin module, the coins enter a coin store of the coin module. In the coin store
- the coins are typically stored in coin types - for example, in various coin magazines.
- the coin drum 1 has as essential components a coin drum housing 9 and a closure element 10.
- the closure element 10 is held rotatably on the coin drum housing 9 about a pivot axis 11.
- the coin drum housing 9 has two spaced-apart, frontal walls and a radial wall 12 connecting the two end walls.
- the radial wall 12 is formed spirally and has a circumferentially free outer edge portion 13 and seen in the circumferential direction free inner edge portion 14. Between the free outer edge portion 13 and the radial wall 12, the recess 6 of the preparation chamber 5 is formed.
- the passage 8 is formed between the free inner edge portion 14 and the radial wall 12 of the coin drum housing 9.
- the closure element 10 is held pivotably in the region of the free outer edge section 13 on the coin drum housing 9.
- the pivot axis 11 is in this case oriented parallel to and spaced from the axis of rotation 3 of the coin drum 1.
- the closure element 10 is L-shaped and has a first leg with a support portion 15 and a second leg with a closing portion 16.
- the coin drum is rotated counterclockwise about the rotation axis 3.
- the provisioning chamber 5 fills with coins.
- the closure element 10 is in a closed position. In the closed position, the closure element 10 is supported on the inside with the support section 15 on the housing 2 of the supply device.
- the closing portion 16 of the closure element 10 closes the recess 6 of the preparation chamber 5, with the result that coins stored in the preparation chamber 5 remain in the same. If the coin drum 1 is rotated further counterclockwise, the support section 15 of the closure element 10 sweeps over a front retaining edge 17 of the housing 2 assigned to the outlet opening 7.
- the support section 15 is then no longer supported on the inside of the housing 2, with the result that the closure element 10 pivots counterclockwise about the pivot axis 11 and the closing portion 16, the recess 6 of the provision chamber 5 releases.
- the stockpiled in the preparation chamber 5 coins can be removed through the recess 6 and as a result of the rotational movement through the discharge opening 7 from the supply storage and get into the filling of the adjacent coin module.
- the closure element 10 is supported by the support section 15 on a control edge 18 delimiting the dispensing opening 7 on one side of the holding edge 17 opposite the same.
- the shutter member 10 is rotated clockwise back to the closed position, and the filling operation of the supply chamber 5 can start anew.
- the open position of the closure element 10 may be formed as a preferred position.
- the closure element 10 can be acted upon by means of a spring element, not shown, with a restoring force that the open position is taken, so that the closure element 10 is not present with the support portion 15 on the housing 2 of the supply device.
- the provision of a preferred position can be dispensed with if the recess 6 is assigned to the provisioning chamber 5 in such a way that the coins stored in the provisioning chamber 5 spend the closure element 10 in the open position due to its own weight.
- the storage chamber 4 of the coin drum 1 will be made larger than the supply chamber 5.
- the storage chamber 4 is greater than the supply chamber 5, more coins can be stored in the storage chamber 4 than in the provision chamber 5.
- the provision chamber. 5 with the stockpiled in the storage chamber 4 brings coins to fill with the result that a plurality of coin modules can be sequentially filled with a single supply device according to the invention without coins must be refilled into the storage chamber 4.
- the filling of the coin module, not shown with coins can be done in one or more stages.
- the coins provided in the provision chamber 5 are emptied into the filling opening of the coin module, counted in the coin module and then transferred to the coin store of the coin module.
- the supply device is separated from the coin module.
- the filling process is repeated when the value of the coins transferred to the coin module is less than a coin requirement of the coin module.
- the value of the coins transferred into the coin module is known exactly as a result of the counting process. If the coin requirement of the coin module is not covered, the provisioning chamber 5 is - as described above - filled with coins again by rotation of the coin drum 1 and the filling opening of the coin module emptied. This process can be repeated until the coin requirement of the coin module is completely covered.
- the multi-stage filling process can be used to ensure that a minimum number of coins of each coin type are stored in the coin module.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a supply device for filling a coin module with coins containing at least one coin storage accommodating the coins and comprising a housing surrounding the coin store with an input opening closable via a first closure element for inserting the coins into the coin store and with a dispensing opening closable via a second closure element Remove the coins from the coin store.
Basically, the use of supply cassettes for filling the coin modules has proved successful with coins. However, by means of a supply cassette only a single coin module are filled because the coin storage of the supply cassette is completely emptied into the coin module. Therefore, a separate supply cassette must be kept ready for each coin module, or the supply cassette must be repeatedly filled with coins. This is especially time consuming in large retail businesses with a variety of POS systems. In addition, the transport of the supply cassettes by the transport companies causes considerable costs.
Object of the present invention is therefore to develop a supply device for filling a coin module with coins such that a plurality of coin modules can be filled with a single supply device.
To solve the problem, the invention is in connection with the preamble of
According to the invention, the coin store arranged in the housing has two storage chambers, of which a storage chamber is designed as a supply chamber and can be emptied into the coin module, while the coins stored in a storage chamber designed as a storage chamber remain in the supply device during the filling of the coin module , Thus, the supply device is not completely emptied when filling the coin module. Advantageously, several coin modules can thus be filled with coins with a single supply device. In addition, reduced by the single supply device, the space requirement, which, for example, reduce transport costs.
In order to supply coins to another coin module after a first coin module, coins stored in the storage chamber can be brought into the delivery chamber. For this purpose, a passage is provided between the storage chambers. By rotating the coin drum about the axis of rotation of the supply device, coins pass through the passage from the storage chamber into the delivery chamber. The filling of the preparation chamber takes place so far automatically during the rotation. After the preparation chamber is filled with coins again, another coin module can be filled. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the coin drum on a coin drum housing and a pivotally mounted on the coin drum housing closure element for closing a recess of the supply chamber. Advantageously, results in a very simple construction of the coin drum with essentially two easy-to-install modules. The axis of rotation about which the coin drum is rotatably mounted with respect to the housing, and a pivot axis of the closure element may, for example, be oriented parallel and spaced apart from one another.
According to a development of the invention, the closure element has a support section and a closing section. In a closed position of the closure element, the closure element is supported by the support section on the housing of the supply device. The discharge opening of the housing is closed in this case. The closing section of the closure element is assigned to the provisioning chamber in such a way that, in the closed position, the closing section forms a wall of the provisioning chamber and closes the recess of the provisioning chamber. In an open position, the closing section is arranged in such a pivoted manner relative to the closed position that the recess of the provisioning chamber is released and the coins stored in the provisioning chamber can be removed through the recess of the provisioning chamber and the dispensing opening of the housing. Advantageously, the closure element can be formed as a passive closure element. Actuating means for actuating the closure element must not be provided. For example, the output opening of the housing may be associated with the closure element in the open position such that the closure element is freely rotatable about the pivot axis and does not lean against the housing with the support section. The closure element can be designed as a self-opening closure element. For this purpose, the closed by the closing portion of the closure element recess of the supply chamber can be arranged such that the coins stored in the supply chamber coins with its own weight on the closing section with the result that the closure element pivots into the open position, as soon as the support portion of the closure element no longer rests against the housing.
According to a development of the invention, the coin drum housing has two spaced-apart, frontal walls and a radial walls connecting the frontal walls. The radial wall is spirally formed with a radially outer free edge portion and a radially inner circumferential free edge portion seen. A radial offset between the outer free edge portion and the radial wall itself forms the recess of the delivery chamber, and a radial offset between the inner free edge portion and the radial wall of the coin drum housing defines the storage chamber communicating with the supply chamber. The passage and the recess are thereby created during assembly of the coin drum housing, without separate manufacturing steps are required. The walls can for example be made of sheet-shaped semi-finished products, in particular steel sheets or the like, by means of stamping, cutting or the like.
According to a development of the invention, the storage chamber is made larger than the provision chamber. Advantageously, this can be stored in the storage chamber of the coin store large amounts of coins and sequentially a plurality of coin modules are filled. For this purpose, the coins provided in the storage chamber are portioned by a part of the coins are moved by rotation of the coin drum about the axis of rotation in the preparation chamber and emptied from there into a filling opening of the coin module.

A supply device according to the invention essentially consists of a
The supply device according to the invention can be used, for example, instead of the supply cassettes used today to equip a coin module of a cash register system, a self-service terminal or the like with coins. Usually, the
