Daher ist es notwendig, nach der Bearbeitung der Deckfläche, bzw. Trennfläche zum Zylinderkopf hin diese nochmals zu schleifen, da beim Fräsen der Deck-, bzw. Trennfläche Partikel herausgelöst werden, die die Deckfläche bzw. Trennfläche unzulässig zerkratzen können. Ein gattungsgemäßes Kurbelgehäuse ist ferner aus der amerikanischen Patentanmeldung US 2006/032473 A1 bekannt. Diese offenbart ein Kurbelgehäuse für eine Brennkraftmaschine mit zumindest einer beschichteten Zylinderbohrung, die an einer Trennfläche zu einem Zylinderkopf eine Fase aufweist. Ähnliche Kurbelgehäuse sind aus US 5199166 oder DE102009008741 bekannt. Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, den o. g. Aufgrund des Einsatzes der Fase mit Ansenkung ist kein weiterer Schleifprozess bei der Kurbelgehäusebearbeitung mehr notwendig (Trennflächenbearbeitung). Dies spart Investitionen in eine zusätzliche Schleifmaschine und natürlich Bearbeitungszeit aufgrund des Entfalls eines kompletten Bearbeitungsvorgangs. Die Ansenkung kann bevorzugt zeitgleich mit dem Einbringen der Fase umgesetzt werden.

Claims (5)

  1. A crankcase (1) for an internal combustion engine comprising at least one coated cylinder bore (2) which has a chamfer (4) on a separating surface (3) to a cylinder head,
