Description

The present invention relates to a roller blind or external blind control box with a receiving space for receiving a roller shutter or external blind control and a heat insulation insert for this purpose. Such boxes are usually installed above windows or doors, often between door or window top and window or lintel. Venetian blinds usually have slats suspended from tapes, which are arranged between an upper rail and a lower rail. The lower rail can be moved relative to the upper rail, whereby the slats are placed on each other. When lowered, the slats of the venetian blind provide effective glare and privacy protection.

If a Venetian blind is to be received in the box, the upper rail must be anchored in the recess. As a rule, roller shutters and external blinds are made of heat-resistant and reflective materials. They are located on the outside of the window or the door and thus prevent sunlight from hitting the window glass, which in particular on hot summer days both blinding sun rays and heat is held. In spring and autumn and especially in winter, however, an additional heating of the rooms by the solar radiation is generally desirable. Especially in Passive House construction, the heat generated by the sunlight contributes to a not insignificant reduction in operating costs.

In the known boxes, however, the user only has the choice of either closing the roller shutter or the external venetian blinds, whereby the glare is eliminated, but at the same time the actually desired heating is prevented by the sunlight, or shutters or venetian blinds not closed There may be glare and unwanted bleaching on furniture, textiles or floor coverings.

It is therefore possible, in addition to the existing Venetian blinds or shutters to attach a roller blind or an inner blind on the inside of the window or door. Here, however, the problem is to attach the roller blind to the ceiling, the wall or the window frame, without affecting the operation of the window or the door is affected. The few known solutions are visually less appealing.

Based on the described prior art, it is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a roller blind or external blind control box of the type mentioned, which allows a visually appealing glare even in winter, without restricting the heating of the room by incident sunlight.

According to the invention this object is achieved in that a second receiving space is provided for receiving a roller blind. The roller shutter or external blind control box thus not only has a space for the roller shutter or external blinds, but also a receiving space for a roller blind. In this case, both the first and the second receiving space is respectively connected to an opening arranged on the underside of the box, through which the roller blind or the roller blind or the external blind can be lowered from the receiving space in front of the window or door surface.

In this case, the second receiving space is preferably arranged on the room side and the first receiving space on the outside, since this is the only guarantee that sunlight can pass through the window pane or not.

In a further preferred embodiment, a closure lid for closing the second receiving space is provided. The closure lid may be used when no shade is provided in the second receiving space. The roller shutter or external blind control box can thus be used in any case, even if initially no blind is to be arranged on the room side. If desired, the shade can be added at a later date.

In a further preferred embodiment, the box on its underside on a stop surface, which is provided so that the window frame of the window or the door rests against this. A roller shutter or venetian blind box having a first receiving space (9) for receiving a roller shutter or a venetian blind, wherein there is provided a second receiving space (10) for receiving a roller blind, characterised in that both the first and also the second receiving space are respectively connected to an opening (6, 7) arranged at the underside (11) of the box.
