IEC 60603-11 genormt. Die englische Bezeichnung solcher Klinkenstecker ist "TRS connector", umgangssprachlich auch "audio plug".Jack plugs are internationally widespread electrical connectors that are used, for example, for audio applications. The design of such jack plugs is standardized by the EIA standard RS-453 or IEC 60603-11. The English name of such jack is "TRS connector", colloquially also "audio plug".

These jack plugs have a plug shank (= male plug part) with a contact tip arranged at the free end (= contact bulb), which has a constriction. Another electrical contact is formed by a sleeve-shaped portion of the plug shank (= contact sleeve), which can also be referred to as a sleeve. Between the contact tip and the contact sleeve may be a contact ring, which forms a further electrical contact, whereby, for example, a stereo plug is formed. The contacts are separated by insulators.

As a mating connector for such jack plugs serve jack sockets. These have a sleeve contact (= sleeve contact) for contacting the contact sleeve of the jack plug, a tip contact (= tip contact) for contacting the contact tip of the jack plug and a ring contact for contacting the contact ring of the jack plug. If a jack plug without contact ring is inserted, then the ring contact is inoperative (this contacts then also the contact sleeve).

Frequently, jack sockets additionally have switching contacts. The tip switch contact contacts the tip contact if no jack plug is inserted. When a jack plug is inserted, the contact tip of the contact tip of a contact portion of the tip contact adjoining the free end of the tip contact deflects against its resilient restoring force from an initial position to an end position. The contact portion of the tip contact, which contacts the tip switch contact in the unmated condition of the jack socket at a tip switch contact pad, is thereby lifted from the tip switch contact.

Furthermore, the connection between the ring contact and a ring switching contact is interrupted when inserting the jack plug. When inserting the jack plug, a contact portion of the ring contact, which adjoins a free end of the ring contact is deflected from an initial position to an end position. In the unmated condition of the jack socket, the ring switch contact contacts the contact portion of the ring contact at a ring switch contact pad of the contact portion of the ring contact. When pivoting in the end position of the ring switching contact is lifted from this contact point.

In a widespread design of jack sockets terminal portions of the contacts of the jack are designed in the form of Lötanschlüssen. The jack can thus be mounted directly on a printed circuit board. Here, a horizontal design (which is also referred to as "horizontal jack socket") and a stationary design (which is also referred to as "vertical jack socket") are used. In the horizontal design, the longitudinal center axis of the receiving space for the plug shank of the jack plug is parallel to the circuit board, in the stationary design perpendicular to the circuit board. A jack of the type mentioned, which has a horizontal design, for example, goes from the US 2006/0281362 A1 out. The US 4,165,147 A shows another jack of the horizontal design. A jack socket of the stationary design goes for example from the US 7,198,504 B2 out.

Die Anschlussabschnitte aller Kontakte liegen parallel zueinander und stehen über eine abgeflachte Seite, die zur Anlage an der Leiterplatte vorgesehen ist, vom Steckergehäuse ab, und zwar in eine Richtung, die rechtwinkelig zur Längsmittelachse des Aufnahmeraums des Steckergehäuses liegt (rechtwinkelig zur Ebene der Leiterplatte).A common design in the horizontal design is that the terminal portions of the sleeve, ring and tip contact are arranged in.einer row on one side of the housing, said connecting portions have a perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the plug housing longitudinal extent. On the opposite side of the housing are the terminal sections of switch contacts for the sleeve, ring and tip contact arranged in a row, wherein these connection portions also extend at right angles to the longitudinal center axis of the receiving space of the plug housing. The terminal portions of all contacts are parallel to each other and are on a flattened side, which is intended to abut the circuit board from the connector housing, in a direction which is perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the connector housing (perpendicular to the plane of the circuit board).

In the upright configuration, the terminal portions of the contacts protrude from a terminal side end of the male housing opposite to the male side end, extending parallel to the longitudinal center axis of the housing space of the male housing. In this design, usually no sleeve switching contact is provided so that these jack sockets have five contacts and thus five connection sections. The contact portions of the tip and ring contact in this case run in a view of the respective contact, which is perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the plug housing, in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal center axis. For the tip contact here is its tip contact point, with which he contacts the contact tip of the connector shank, closer to the free end, which connects the contact portion of the tip contact, as its tip switch contact pad, with which he is not plugged Condition contacted the tip switching contact.

In the case of ring contact, by contrast, the ring contact point, with which the ring contact makes contact with the contact ring of the jack plug, continues to be removed from the free end of the ring contact, to which the contact section of the ring contact connects as the ring switch contact pad with which the ring contact contacts the ring switching contact in the non-inserted state of the jack. This has the consequence that the pivoting of the contact portion of the ring contact when inserting the jack plug is translated to the contact point between the ring contact and the ring switching contact out, so that in the inserted state, a sufficiently large distance between these two contacts is achieved.

The standardization of the design of jack plugs allows for deviations in detail training, especially in the area of the contact tip and in practice there are differences in the exact shape of the contact tip and its constriction in various manufacturers. It comes thereby when inserting the jack plug into the jack socket in practice to different degrees of pivoting particular the contact portion of the tip contact. This can lead to an insufficient distancing of the contact portion of the tip contact of the tip switching contact, especially in a cross-acting on the jack plug cable. Malfunctions can be the result.

It should also be noted that in vertical jack sockets, the conventional arrangement of the terminal sections has become established as a norm and is used by different manufacturers in the same way. Maintaining this arrangement of the terminal sections is thus important.

Solche Klinkenbuchsen gehen aus der US 7,198,504 B2 , US 6,690,801 B2 und US 7,341,491 B2 hervor. In addition, lying and standing configurations of jack sockets with other than the described arrangements of the terminal portions of the contacts are known, which are not commercially or less used. Such jack sockets go out of the US 7,198,504 B2 . US 6,690,801 B2 and US 7,341,491 B2 out.

The US 2007/0117433 A1 shows power supply connectors for motor vehicles. The plug part of the plug connection has two contact sections, which are designed in the form of open rings. The socket for receiving the plug part has annular coil springs for contacting the contact portions. A connected to one of the annular coil springs contact portion is guided outside at a distance on the other annular coil spring.

The object of the invention is, in a jack of the type mentioned, which has a high reliability of the interruption of the electrical connection between the tip contact and the tip switching contact when inserting a jack, an advantageous arrangement of the terminal portions of the contacts provide. According to the invention, this is achieved by a jack with the features of claim 1.

In the jack socket according to the invention, the contact portion of the tip contact at least in a tip contact point and the tip switching contact pad comprehensive range, preferably over its entire extent, a longitudinal extent, the transverse, in particular perpendicular, to the longitudinal center axis of the receiving space of the connector housing is located. The tip contact pad and the tip switch contact pad of the contact portion of the tip contact are spaced apart from each other in this transverse direction, in particular at right angles to the longitudinal center axis. Thus, the tip pad and the tip switch pad of the contact portion of the tip contact are spaced from each other with respect to the circumferential direction about the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the plug housing (= the circumferential direction of the plug housing and the receiving space, respectively). Here, the tip pad is farther away from the free end of the tip contact, which is followed by the contact portion of the tip contact, than the tip switch contact pad.

When inserting the jack plug into the jack, the contact portion of the tip contact is deflected against its resilient restoring force from an initial position to an end position. As a result of the design described above, the deflection at the tip switching contact pad is thus greater in the case of a jack socket according to the invention than in the region of the tip contact pad. It can thus, even with slightly different forms of contact tips of the jack, a more reliable opening of the electrical contact between the tip contact and the tip switching contact can be achieved, this with a compact design of the jack socket according to the invention.

Advantageously, the contact portion of the ring contact, at least in a the ring contact point and the ring switching contact pad comprehensive range, preferably over its entire extent, a longitudinal extent, the transverse, in particular perpendicular, to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the Plug housing is located. The ring contact point and the ring switch contact point of the contact portion of the ring contact are spaced apart from each other in this transverse, in particular at right angles, to the longitudinal central axis direction. Thus, the ring pad and the ring switch contact pad of the contact portion of the ring contact are spaced from each other with respect to the circumferential direction about the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the plug housing (= the circumferential direction of the plug housing and the receiving space, respectively). Here, the ring pad is further away from the free end of the ring contact, which is followed by the contact portion of the ring contact, removed as the ring switch contact pad. It can be achieved with a compact design of the jack socket reliable opening of the electrical contact between the ring contact and the ring switch contact when inserting the jack plug.

In order to be able to maintain the conventional arrangement of the terminal portions of the contacts according to the stationary design in the jack according to the invention, it is provided that the jack socket seen in side views perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis of the receiving space of the connector housing crossing points between sections of different contacts, where the crossing sections have different distances from the longitudinal center axis of the receiving space.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the contact portion of the tip contact seen in cross section through the contact portion has a contact tip of the inserted jack connector convex or V-shaped part, to the direction towards the connection end of the plug housing towards a broadening the contact portion connects, over which the contact portion in cross-section through the contact portion and longitudinal center section through the jack socket an angle of less than 15 ° with the longitudinal center axis includes, preferably substantially parallel to this. By this broadening, the depression of the contact portion of the tip contact in the constriction of the contact tip can be limited by the contact portion with the widening of the contact tip in the region of its largest circumference, which is closer to the free end of the contact tip than the constriction can support , With different shapes of the contact tip can be achieved in this way a more defined position of the contact portion, wherein the depression is limited in the constriction. It can thereby be achieved with different forms of contact tips a more reliable opening of the electrical contact between the tip contact and the tip switching contact.

An advantageous embodiment provides that the plug housing of the jack socket has a bottom which at least partially terminates the receiving space to the connection end of the plug housing and which forms a stop for the contact tip, by which the insertion of the plug shank of the jack plug is limited in the jack socket. When fully inserted, the contact tip abuts against the stop of the bottom of the connector housing. Preferably, this stop is from the edge of a recess in the bottom of the plug housing formed, in which the contact tip protrudes with its front end. By this design, a defined position of the contact portion of the tip contact is supported when jack plugs of different manufacturers are inserted into the jack, so that the reliability of the opening of the electrical connection between the tip contact and tip switching contact is further improved.

The provided for making the connector with the jack socket jack is preferably designed according to the standard EIA RS-453 or IEC 60603-11. Such, especially for audio applications usable, jack is also referred to as an audio plug.

Insbesondere handelt es sich um einen 6.35mm Klinkenstecker. In particular, it is a 6.35mm jack.

By the "longitudinal extent" of a contact or a portion of a contact is usually referred to the direction of the largest extent of the contact or the portion of the contact.

An embodiment of a jack (= "audio jack") according to the invention in the form of a 6.35 mm jack socket, which is particularly suitable for audio applications, is shown in the accompanying figures.

The jack is used to make an electrical connector with a jack, of which in the FIGS. 19 and 20 a part is shown. The jack plug comprises a plug shank (= male plug part). The plug shank 1 comprises a contact sleeve 2 (also referred to as a sleeve) and a contact tip 3 (also referred to as a contact bulb or tip) between the contact sleeve and the contact tip 3 is a contact ring 4 (also referred to as a ring). The contact sleeve 2, the contact tip 3 and the contact ring 4 are electrically insulated from each other by insulators 5, 6. The contact ring 4 (and with him one of the insulators 5, 6) could also be omitted. The plug shank 1 protrudes from a plug housing 7, from which in the FIGS. 19 and 20 only a small part is visible.

The jack plug is designed according to the EIA standard RS-453 or IEC 60603-11, whereby in the exemplary embodiment it is a 6.35 mm jack plug.

The jack plug can be inserted with its plug shank 1 into a female plug receptacle of the jack socket in a plug-in direction. In terms of her continue below described contact for the contact tip, the contact sleeve and the contact ring, such a jack is also referred to as a stereo jack.

The jack socket comprises a plug housing 10 made of an insulating material. On the connector housing 10, the contacts 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 of the jack socket are fixed. The plug housing 10 has a receiving space 11, in which the plug shank 1 (at least over part of its longitudinal extension) for producing the plug connection between the jack plug and the jack socket can be inserted. The receiving space 11 has a longitudinal central axis 12. In the direction of this longitudinal central axis 12, the plug shank 1 is inserted from an insertion-side end 13 into the receiving space of the plug housing 10. Here, the longitudinal central axis 8 of the plug shank 1 coincides with the longitudinal central axis 12 of the receiving space 11 (i.e., they are parallel to each other and in the same location).

The insertion of the plug shank 1 is guided by a bushing 15. This holds the inserted plug shank 1 in coaxial alignment with the plug housing 10. The socket 15 is fixed to the connector housing 10. On an external thread of the socket 10, a nut is screwed. In this way, a mechanical attachment of the jack, for example, in a receiving opening of a housing plate is possible.

The sleeve 15 may be made of metal and be electrically connected to the sleeve contact described below. In that sense, it can be viewed as part of the sleeve contact. An education of plastic is possible, wherein the socket can be regarded as part of the connector housing 10. Also, a one-piece design of the socket with the connector housing may be provided in a modified embodiment.

Der Innenraum der Buchse 15 zusammen mit dem Aufnahmeraum 11 des Steckergehäuses 10 bilden die weibliche Steckeraufnahme für den Steckerschaft 1.The interior of the bushing 15 together with the receiving space 11 of the plug housing 10 form the female plug receptacle for the plug shank 1.

The contacts 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 each have a terminal portion 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, which consists of a plug-side end 13 opposite terminal side end 14 of the plug housing 10 (the ends 13, 14 form with respect to the longitudinal center axis 12 protrudes opposite ends of the plug housing 10), wherein the connecting portions 21, 31, 41, 51, 61 each have a longitudinal extent which is parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12. Electrical connections to the contacts 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 can be made via these connection sections 21, 31, 41, 51, 61. For example, the connection sections 21, 31, 41, 51, 61 can be plugged and soldered into pads of a printed circuit board or connection cables can be soldered.

The sleeve contact 20 serves for contacting the contact sleeve 2 in the inserted state of the plug shank 1. The sleeve contact has a spring-trained contact portion 22, in the manner of a contact tongue. When the jack plug is inserted, the contact portion 22 is deflected and in the inserted state of the jack plug is the sleeve contact with a sleeve contact point 23 of the contact portion 22 on the contact sleeve 2 of the connector shaft 1 at. The contact portion 22 connects to one of the free ends 24 of the sleeve contact. At the other free end of the sleeve contact of the connection section 21 connects. The contact portion 22 is connected to the terminal portion 21 via a connecting portion 26. The connecting portion 26 is attached to attachment points 27, 28 on the connector housing 10, for example by melting openings in the sleeve contact passing projections of the connector housing 10. The contact portion 22 extends from the attachment point 27 to the free end 24, wherein by bending one of the longitudinal central axis 12th An approximating part section and a free end 24 towards the longitudinal center axis 12 again removing part section is formed, wherein the latter section forms the free end 24.

In a side view of the connector housing, wherein the viewing direction is perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 and cover the sleeve contact point 23 and the longitudinal central axis 12 in this line of sight, lies the longitudinal extent the contact portion 22 of the sleeve contact 20 parallel to the longitudinal center axis 12. Such side views correspond to the representations of FIGS. 13 and 15 , In other words, it is a side view perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 and parallel to the surface normal to the contact sleeve 2 at the point of contact through the sleeve contact point 23. In the exemplary embodiment, the longitudinal extent of the sleeve contact 20 is parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12th In Modified embodiments, for example, also longitudinal extensions of the contact portion 22 and / or the connecting portion 26 or subsections thereof perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 are possible.

In the case of forming the metal bushing 15 and connecting it to the sleeve contact 20, the bushing 15 could serve as a contact portion or part of the contact portion of the sleeve contact 20. A contacting of the contact sleeve 2 could also be done in this case only via the bushing 15. However, a resiliently formed contact section 22 (in the manner of a contact tongue) of the sleeve contact 20 is preferred.

Fig. 18 und 21. Fig. 20 und 24.The tip contact 30 serves to make contact with the contact tip 3 of an inserted jack plug. Here, the tip contact 30 on a contact portion 32 which rests against a tip contact point 33 of the contact portion 32 at the contact tip 3 of the inserted jack plug. The resilient contact portion 32, which adjoins the free end 34 of the tip contact 30, is in this case designed in the manner of a contact tongue. Without inserted jack, the contact portion 32 assumes an initial position, see. Fig. 18 and 21 , When inserting the jack plug, the contact portion 32 is deflected by the contact tip 3 against its resilient restoring force (pivoted and / or bent) and takes in the inserted state an end position, see. Fig. 20 and 24 ,

In this end position of the contact portion 32 is engaged in the constriction 3a of the contact tip 3 and thus ensures with its resilient holding force the jack plug against pulling out of the jack.

The terminal portion 31 connects to the other free end 35 of the tip contact 30. The contact portion 32 is connected to the terminal portion 31 through a connecting portion 36. At the transition between the connecting portion 36 and the contact portion 32, the tip contact 30 is supported at a support point 37 on the connector housing 10. The adjoining the free end 34 toward contact portion 32 forms the resilient contact tongue. The attachment to the connector housing 10 is additionally effected by an extension of the connecting portion, which is attached to an attachment point 38 on the connector housing 10, for example by melting of projections of the connector housing 10th

Fig. 14 und Fig. 16 entsprechen einer solchen Seitenansicht. The contact section 32 of the tip contact 30 has, viewed in a side view at right angles to the longitudinal central axis 12, in which the tip contact point 33 and the longitudinal central axis 12 overlap, a longitudinal extent lying at right angles to the longitudinal center axis 12. It is therefore a side view perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis 12 and parallel to a projection of the surface normal, which has the contact tip 3 at the point of contact by the tip pad 23, on a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 plane. FIGS. 14 and 16 correspond to such a side view.

The connecting section 36 then comprises, at the contact section 32, a partial section which has a longitudinal extension running at right angles to the longitudinal center axis 12 and a section adjoining via an angled section which connects the aforementioned section to the connection section 31 by its course parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12.

The free end 35 of the terminal portion 31 of the tip contact 30 and the tip pad of the contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 are more than the circumferential center direction about the longitudinal center axis 12 (= the circumferential direction of the plug housing 10 and the receiving space 11) 90 ° apart.

Fig. 18 und 22. Fig. 20 und 25.The ring contact 50 is used for contacting the contact ring 4. For this purpose, it has a contact portion 52 which, in the inserted state of the jack plug a ring pad 53 of the ring contact 50 rests against the contact ring 4. The resilient contact portion 52, which connects to the free end 54 of the ring contact 50, in this case is designed in the manner of a contact tongue. Without inserted jack, the contact portion 52 assumes an initial position, see. Fig. 18 and 22 , When inserting the jack plug, the contact portion 52 is deflected from the Ste ckerschaft 1 against its resilient restoring force in an end position (pivoted and / or bent), see. Fig. 20 and 25 ,

At the other free end 55, the connection portion 51 of the ring contact 50 connects. The contact portion 52 is connected to the terminal portion 51 via a connecting portion 56. At the transition between the contact portion 52 and the connecting portion 56, the ring contact 50 is supported at a support point 57 on the connector housing 10. The adjoining the free end 54 toward contact portion 52 forms the resilient contact tongue. For attachment of the ring contact 50 on the connector housing 10, an extension of the connecting portion 56 is further connected to the connector housing 10 at an attachment point 58, for example by melting a projection of the connector housing 10th

Fig. 14 und Fig. 16 zeigen eine solche Seitenansicht. The contact portion 52 of the ring contact 50 has in a side view at right angles to the longitudinal central axis 12, in which cover the ring contact point 53 and the longitudinal central axis 12, a longitudinal extent which is perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12. It is therefore a side view at right angles to the longitudinal center axis 12 and parallel to the surface normal to the contact ring 4 at the point of contacting by the ring pad 53rd FIGS. 14 and 16 show such a side view.

The connecting portion 56 has subsequently to the connecting portion 51 a portion whose longitudinal extension is parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12 and to this via a bend then a section whose longitudinal extension is perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 and to which the contact portion 52 connects.

The free end 55 of the terminal portion 51 of the ring contact 50 and the ring pad 53 of the contact portion 52 of the ring contact 50 are based on the circumferential direction about the longitudinal central axis 12 (= circumferential direction of the plug housing 10 or of its receiving space 11) by more spaced at 90 °.

The tip pad 33 of the contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 and the ring pad 53 of the contact portion 52 of the ring contact 50 are circumferentially spaced about the longitudinal central axis 12 by more than 120 °, preferably 180 °, such as this in particular from the comparison of FIGS. 24 and 25 evident.

The tip switch contact 40 has a contact portion 42 which connects to the free end 44 of the tip switch contact 40. The contact section 42 has a longitudinal extent lying at right angles to the longitudinal central axis 12 and, in the initial position of the contact section 32 of the tip contact 30, contacts the contact section 32 of the tip contact 30 at a tip switch contact pad 39 of the contact section 32 of the tip contact 30. Here, the contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 with its tip switching contact pad 39, for example, as shown at the free end 44 of the tip switch contact 40 at. The system could also be at a bend of the contact portion 42 of the tip switch contact 40, via which the contact portion 42 of the tip switch contact 40 extends to the free end 44.

The tip switching contact pad is preferably less than 2mm, more preferably less than 1mm from the free end 34 of the tip contact 30.

Preferably, the contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 and the contact portion 42 of the tip switch contact 40 or at least portions thereof are at an angle to each other which is in the range of 90 ° +/- 20 ° when the electrical contact between these two contact portions 32, 42 exists.

The terminal portion 41 connects to the other free end 45 of the tip switch contact 40. The connection section 41 and the contact section 42 are connected directly to one another via an angled section or connected to one another via a connecting section 46. For attachment to the connector housing 10, as shown, an extension of the connecting portion 46 may be provided which is secured to an attachment point 48 on the connector housing 10, for example by melting projections of the connector housing 10th

The tip contact point 33 and the tip switch contact pad 39 are spaced apart in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12, the tip switch contact pad 39 closer to the free end 34th of the tip contact 30 as the tip pad 33 is located.

When a jack plug is inserted, the contact portion 32 is bent and / or pivoted from the initial position to the end position, whereby the tip switching contact point 39 lifts off from the contact portion 42. The movement amplitude of the tip contact 30 at the location of the tip switching contact pad 39 is greater than at the tip contact point 33 due to the translation caused in the manner of a lever.

The ring switching contact 60 has a subsequent to the free end 64 contact portion 62. The contact section 62 has a longitudinal extension lying at right angles to the longitudinal central axis 12 and, in the initial position of the contact section 52 of the ring contact 50, contacts the contact section 52 of the ring contact 50 at a ring switching contact pad 59 of the contact section 52 of the ring contact 50. Here, the contact portion 52 of the ring contact 50 with its ring switch contact pad 59, for example, as shown at the free end 64 of the ring switch contact 60 at. The system could also be at a bend of the contact portion 62 of the ring switch contact 60, via which the contact portion 62 of the ring switch contact 60 extends to the free end 64.

The ring switch contact pad 59 is preferably less than 2mm, more preferably less than 1mm from the free end 54 of the ring contact 50.

Preferably, the contact portion 52 of the ring contact 50 and the contact portion 62 of the ring switch contact 60 or at least portions thereof are at an angle to each other which is in the range of 90 ° +/- 20 ° when the electrical contact between these two contact portions 52, 62 exists.

The connection section 61 connects to the other free end 65 of the ring switching contact 60. The connection section 61 and the contact section 62 are connected to one another via a connecting section 66 whose longitudinal extent lies at least partially, in the embodiment shown substantially over its entire course, parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12, wherein the connecting section 66 connects in a straight line to the connection section 61. For attachment to the connector housing 10, as shown, an extension of the contact portion 62 may be provided, which is attached to an attachment point 68 on the connector housing 10, for example by melting of projections of the connector housing 10th

The ring contact point 53 and the ring switch contact point 59 are spaced apart in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the contact portion 52 of the ring contact 50 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 direction, wherein the ring switch contact point 59 closer to the free end 54th of the ring contact 50 as the ring pad 53 is located.

When a jack plug is inserted, the contact portion 52 is bent and / or pivoted from the initial position to the end position of this, wherein the ring-switch contact pad 59 is lifted from the contact portion 62. The amplitude of movement of the ring contact 50 at the location of the ring switch contact point 59 is greater than at the ring contact point 53 due to the manner of a lever caused translation.

Im Uhrzeigersinn folgen auf den Sleeve-Kontakt 20 nacheinander zuerst der Ring-Schaltkontakt 60, dann der Ring-Kontakt 50, dann der Tip-Kontakt 30 und dann der Tip-Schaltkontakt 40.Seen in a view of the jack to the terminal side end of the connector housing (ie in a view opposite to the insertion, in which the jack plug is inserted), which in Fig. 8 is shown, the free ends 25, 35, 45, 55, 65 of the terminal portions 21, 31, 41, 51, 61 of the contacts 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 lie on an imaginary circle in the in Fig. 8 illustrated arrangement. The tip contact 30, ring contact 50, tip switch contact 40 and ring switch contact 60 are in this case with their free ends on the sides of an imaginary square, wherein the sleeve contact 20 with its free end parallel to one of the diagonal of this square lies and lies in a corner of the square within the square. Clockwise follow on the sleeve contact 20 successively first the ring switching contact 60, then the ring contact 50, then the tip contact 30 and then the tip switching contact 40th

Fig. 14. In side views perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 and seen in view of the respective sections of the contacts, there are crossover points between sections of different contacts where the intersecting sections have different distances from the longitudinal central axis 12. Thus, lying with their longitudinal extent parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12 Tell portions of the connecting portions 56, 66 of the ring contact 50 and the ring switching contact 60 cross the contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 (seen in a side view at right angles to the longitudinal central axis 12, in which the Peak contact point 33 and the longitudinal central axis 12 overlap), cf. Fig. 14 , The connecting sections 56, 66 in this case have larger distances from the longitudinal central axis 12 than the contact section 32.

Fig. 13. The extending with its longitudinal extent parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12 connecting portion 26 of the sleeve contact 20 crosses the contact portions 42, 62 of the tip switching contact 40 and ring switching contact 60 (seen in a view perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12, in which the connecting portion 26 and the Cover longitudinal central axis 12), cf. Fig. 13 , The connecting portion 26 in this case has a greater distance from the longitudinal central axis 12 than the contact portions 42, 62nd

The tip contact 33 of the tip contact 30 and the ring pad 53 of the ring contact 50 contact the contact tip 3 and the contact ring 4 at positions substantially opposite to each other with respect to the circumferential direction of the plug shank 1, as in the comparison from FIGS. 24 and 25 evident. The sleeve contact point 23 of the contact portion 22 of the sleeve contact 20 contacts the contact sleeve 2 at a location which is relative to the circumferential direction of the plug shank 1 between the two said locations, preferably 90 ° spaced from each of the two aforementioned contact points.

Fig. 20. The contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 has seen in cross section through the tip contact, said cross section at the location of the longitudinal extent of the contact portion 32 through the tip contact 30, at which the tip pad 33 is located, and by the longitudinal center axis 12th runs, a part 70 which is formed convexly curved towards the contact tip 3, cf. Fig. 20 , Also, a contact tip 3 towards V-shaped design of the part 70 is possible. A widening 71 of the contact section 32 towards the connection-side end 14 of the plug housing adjoins the part 70, via which the contact section 32 is oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal central axis 12 (ie, at an angle of less than 15 ° to this including). With the part 70, the contact portion 32 engages in the constriction 3a of the contact tip 3. With the broadening 71, the contact portion 32 can be supported on the contact tip 3 in the region of the largest circumference of the contact tip 3, which lies between the constriction 3a and the free end of the plug shank 1. The snapping of the contact portion 32 in the constriction 3a and thus the approach of the tip switch contact pad 39 to the contact portion 42 of the tip switch contact 40) is limited thereby. Even with more pronounced configurations of the constriction 3a, a sufficient distance between the contact section 42 of the tip switching contact 40 and the contact section 32 of the tip contact 30 is therefore maintained.

The bottom 10a of the plug housing has a recess 16, in which the contact tip 3 of the inserted jack plug then engages at its free end and whose edge forms a stop 17, which limits the insertion of the plug-shaft 1. A well-defined position of the contact tip 3 with its constriction 3a relative to the contact portion 32 of the tip contact 30 relative to the direction of the longitudinal central axis 12 is achieved.

In the jack according to the invention also jack without contact ring 4 are inserted. The ring contact 50 and the ring switching contact 60 can then remain unoccupied. Since the ring contact 50 contacts the contact sleeve 2 in the inserted state of the jack plug and is thereby deflected into its end position, the ring contact 50 can also be used as an (additional) sleeve contact 20. The ring switching contact 60 could then be used as a switched sleeve contact.
