Um eine bestimmte Menge eines Mittels, beispielsweise Zahnpasta, vom Vorratsraum 6 zum BĂ¼rstenkopf 4 bzw. zu den Borsten 5 zu fördern, wird der Oberteil 1 gegenĂ¼ber dem Unterteil 2 abgeknickt, wie dies in Fig. 5 und 6 dargestellt ist. Dabei knickt der Oberteil 1 am Gelenk 3 gegenĂ¼ber dem Unterteil 2 ab und ein Teil des elastischen Wandabschnitts 13 sowie bis zu einem gewissen AusmaĂŸ auch der and den Rand 14 anschlieĂŸende biegesteife Abschnitt 16 werden etwas in den Vorratsraum 6 hinein gedrĂ¼ckt. Da der Bodenteil 7 nicht nach unten ausweichen kann, wird das Mittel durch den Kanal 11 und das Röhrchen 12 zu den bzw. zwischen die Borsten 5 gedrĂ¼ckt. Lässt man den Oberteil 1 los, wird dieser durch den elastischen Wandabschnitt 13 zurĂ¼ck in seine Ausgangslage bewegt, wobei sich der elastische Wandabschnitt 13 gleichzeitig wieder nach auĂŸen bewegt und somit das Volumen in Vorratsraum 6 vergrĂ¶ĂŸern wĂ¼rde. Der Strömungswiderstand in Kanal 11, im dargestellten AusfĂ¼hrungsbeispiel in erster Linie der Strömungswiderstand im Bereich des BĂ¼rstenkopfes 4, ist so groĂŸ, dass das Mittel nicht durch den Kanal 11 zurĂ¼ck gesaugt wird. Claims (14)

  1. Brush, in particular toothbrush, comprising an upper part (1) and a lower part (2) which are interconnected to each other, wherein a storage chamber (6) for a liquid or pasty medium, in particular toothpaste, is provided in the lower part (2) and a brush head (4) is disposed on the upper part (1), and wherein a channel (11) extends between the storage chamber (6) and the brush head (4), wherein a device is disposed in the channel (11) which impedes or prevents a flow of the medium from the brush head (4) to the storage chamber (6), and wherein the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) have flexurally rigid wall sections (16, 17) and a flexible wall section (13) is positioned between them, which forms a wail section (13) of the storage chamber (6), characterized in that the flexurally rigid wall sections (16, 17) on the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) are connected to each other by an articulation (3) and that the elastic wall section (13) adjoins on the one hand to edges (14, 15) of the flexurally rigid wall sections (16, 17) of the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) and on the other hand adjoins the articulation (3).
  2. The brush according to claim 1, characterized in that the storage chamber (6) on the side opposite the upper part (1) is delimited by a base part (7) which is only movable in the direction of the upper part (1).
  3. The brush according to claim 2, characterized In that the channel (11) from the storage chamber (6) to the brush head (4) is continuously always open and that a cross-sectional narrowing is provided in the channel which produces a flow resistance that is greater than the movement resistance of the base part in the direction of the brush head (4).
  4. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the flexurally rigid wall sections (16, 17) and the articulation (3) are formed from a one-piece part.
  5. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the channel (11) is delimited directly by the flexurally rigid wall sections (16, 17) and the elastic wall section (13).
  6. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the lower part (2) with its flexurally rigid section (17) is formed from a one-piece part and delimits the storage chamber (6).
  7. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the upper part (1) with its flexurally rigid section (16) is formed from a one-piece part.
  8. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the flexurally rigid wall sections (16, 17), the articulation (3) and the elastic wall section (13) are non-detachably interconnected by an injection moulding process.
  9. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the flexurally rigid wall sections (16, 17) are substantially in alignment with one another in the area of the articulation (3).
  10. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized In that the flexurally rigid wall section (16) of the upper part (1) is offset with respect to the flexurally rigid wall section (17) of the lower part (2) in the area of the articulation (3) towards the longitudinal axis of the lower part (2),
  11. The brush according to claim 10, characterized in that the flexurally rigid wall section (16) of the upper part (1) is offset with respect to the flexurally rigid wall section (17) of the lower part (2) in the area of the articulation (3) by approximately the wall thickness of the wall sections (16, 17) towards the centre of the brush.
  12. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the width of the articulation (3) is between 1/6 and 1/2, preferably about 1/3 of the diameter of the lower part (2).
  13. The brush according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the width of the articulation (3) is between 1/5 and 2/3. preferably about 1/2 of the diameter of the upper part (1).
  14. The brush according to any one of claims 1, 2 or 4 to 13, characterized in that a valve (11) is disposed in the channel.
