Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of wastewater treatment and more particularly to a siphon device with automatic priming and autonomous operation for a liquid container in a purification system for domestic or industrial wastewater.
  • Water purification is a set of techniques that consist in purifying water to either recycle wastewater in the natural environment, or to transform natural water into drinking water.
  • the wastewater must be collected and directed first to a sewer and then, via a feeder, to a treatment plant.
  • the feed devices may be pumping systems, or comprising solenoid valves or self-priming systems, and are arranged inside the liquid-fed tanks.
  • Self-priming systems are self-triggering systems and overcome the aforementioned drawbacks.
  • the system described in the document FR 2,690,955 This system is installed in a liquid container which is fed continuously and allows the container to be emptied automatically when a pre-established level of liquid is reached in the container.
  • the system includes an exhaust duct connected at one end to an open cylindrical float, the opposite end passing through the side wall of the container.
  • the float is submersible and moves, under the effect of the fluid supplying the container, between a high filling position of the float and a low drain position via the exhaust pipe.
  • the siphon device contains a large amount of air that must be removed during the priming of the siphon.
  • the proper functioning of the device then requires a significant difference in altitude.
  • the use of such a device with a slight difference in altitude implies a slowing down of the flow by the residual air inside the pipes, the air which can then go up to the upper level of the siphon and slows even more the flow of up to to provoke the defusing of the siphon before even the complete emptying of the container.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a siphon device for a liquid container allowing automatic priming from low levels of liquid in the container in which it is arranged and small differences in level between the inlet and the outlet of the container. siphon, while being autonomous operation.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide an automatic and self-priming siphon device for a liquid container, in particular a wastewater container, which is of compact construction and very reliable over time, allowing operation to a good one. liquid output rate of the container.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide an automatic self-priming siphon device which is of simplified construction and can be manufactured economically.
  • Another object of the invention is a siphon device with self-priming and autonomous, allowing a periodic discharge of wastewater from a certain level of liquid in the container housing the device, while designed so as to be disassembled easily for easier installation purposes.
  • the self-priming and self-priming siphon device of the invention is intended to operate inside a liquid receiving tank, in particular wastewater, and is able to drain, automatically, depending on the level of water in the tank, at least partially said tank.
  • Wastewater includes untreated or partially treated water purification system.
  • the tank is fed continuously with liquid and is periodically drained by the device of the invention. The drained liquid can then feed a wastewater treatment circuit.
  • the siphon device of the invention comprises a drain tube which is a siphon tube having an inverted U shape, it is therefore understood that it is a tube with vertical branches, a first end of which is called suction is immersed in the liquid of the tank, the second end said discharge being connected to a conduit for discharging the liquid carried by the tube.
  • the siphon device needs a priming which, with the device of the invention is done by pressing vertically the drain tube into the water, which has the effect of filling the siphon and allow the liquid to engage the tube.
  • the device of the invention ensures such priming by using a construction comprising at least one inverted U-shaped vertical drain tube and several floats arranged and designed so that the siphon is primed automatically and autonomously , depending on the level of liquid in the tank.
  • the drain tube is secured to a first float and is driven upwards, when the liquid level rises in the tank, under the action of the buoyancy force applied by the liquid of the float tank.
  • the first float is blocked in the upper position by a second float which is kept immersed by a third float of a device triggering the boot.
  • the priming occurs when the liquid reaches a predetermined level in the tank, causing the third float to move and thus unlock the second float that rises to the surface by pushing the drain tube back towards the bottom. This causes an increase in the pressure at the suction end of the drain tube and thus the siphon initiation.
  • This siphon device is also original in that the discharge end of the drain tube is connected to an exhaust duct with a compressible pipe.
  • compressible pipe includes a conduit which is able to change shape by compressing under the action of a compressive force applied along its longitudinal axis.
  • the longitudinal axis of such a pipe may be rectilinear or curved, depending on the shape of the pipe connecting the discharge end of the drain tube to the outlet pipe of the tank.
  • the displacement of the drain tube, which conduit is usually made of a rigid tube is advantageously cashed by the deformation of the compressible tube which thus allows the drain tube to perform a vertical translational movement, while maintaining a waterproof connection of the latter with the exhaust duct.
  • the device of the invention can function even by moving a small water column.
  • a difference in height of about 200 mm between the suction end and the decompression opening of the outlet pipe may be sufficient to produce priming with the device of the invention, while with the of the aforementioned document of the state of the art, a minimum height difference of 650 mm would be required in order to provoke the initiation of the siphon.
  • a vertical drain tube within the scope of the invention which contains little air compared to the device of the state of the art mentioned here which comprises V drain pipes with almost horizontal arms that contain a lot of air and therefore need a high altitude to function.
  • the device of the invention can therefore be used to rapidly empty, with a high frequency and automatically a tank fed continuously liquid and this even for small differences in level.
  • said first float comprises a protuberance which cooperates with a finger of a second float pivotally mounted on the frame, said finger cooperating with the lug of a third float also pivotally mounted relative to said frame.
  • said lug has an inclined outer surface ending in a hook for guiding the end of the finger in its upward pivoting movement to engage with said hook.
  • said compressible pipe is a bellows.
  • a flexible sheath such as a sheath made of flexible PVC reinforced by a rigid PVC spiral.
  • a flexible bellows because it retains its flexibility even at low water temperatures, unlike the flexible sheath whose rigidity increases with the drop in temperature, which requires to adapt the operation of the device, including settings of it.
  • said bellows is made of a flexible plastic material, such as flexible PVC or rubber.
  • a flexible plastic material such as flexible PVC or rubber.
  • said drain tube is a tube having a generally inverted "U" shape whose arms pass through openings made in the first float.
  • the drain tube thus constitutes the siphon tube and is arranged to pass through openings in the body of the float, which allows the tube to be driven by the float safely and reliable in time and, at the same time, a compact construction of the float.
  • said first float is guided in its translational movement inside said chassis. This ensures good guidance of the float and therefore the drain tube, for a small device.
  • the device of the invention comprises a cassette comprising a frame provided with handles and supporting said emptying tube, said first float, said third float and said compressible pipe, said cassette being removably mounted relative to said frame.
  • Such a solution provides a siphon device that is easily removable for reasons of installation or maintenance.
  • said device comprises a plurality of drain conduits connected by means of their respective compressible pipes to a collector duct.
  • a tank comprising a siphon device according to the invention, the frame is mounted at the bottom of the tank or on one of the side walls thereof.
  • the device of the invention periodic and automatic emptying of the tank is provided with the device of the invention, its mounting at the bottom or against one of the side walls of the tank is made according to the characteristics of the tank (its depth, its volume , the ease of access to the device, the position of the exhaust ducts, etc.).
