Description

The present invention relates to a heat exchanger, in particular an oil-water heat exchanger, with a connection plate for attachment to a component, according to the preamble of claim 1, as shown for example in the DE 200 10 816 U1 is disclosed.

Heat exchangers, in particular so-called oil-water heat exchangers on internal combustion engines are exposed to considerable vibrations and vibrations, which is why a connection plate, via which the heat exchanger is mounted, for example, on the internal combustion engine, is comparatively thick and thus reinforced. However, such a reinforced connection plate requires a comparatively high weight and also requires a certain amount of space, which can be problematic especially in view of a steadily dwindling installation space within modern engine rooms.

The present invention is concerned with the problem of providing for a heat exchanger of the generic type an improved or at least one alternative embodiment, which is characterized in particular by a compact and at the same time stable construction.

This problem is solved according to the invention by the subject matter of independent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

The present invention is based on the general idea, in a known heat exchanger, for example in an oil-water heat exchanger, with a connection plate for attachment to an internal combustion engine and with a plurality of stacked on each other and with each other soldered tub elements, at least at least directly adjacent to the terminal plate pan element to provide an outwardly projecting tab-like edge which preferably rests in full surface with mounted heat exchanger to the connection plate, for example, with this firmly connected, in particular soldered, and this is stiffened. By the tab-like edge thus required for stiffening the connection plate material thickness is provided only at this edge and not over the entire surface of the connection plate, whereby this compared to previously known from the prior art connection plates can be made significantly thinner and lighter. The thinner training allows a compact design of the heat exchanger, the tab-like edge of the connection plate directly adjacent tub element provides the required rigidity.

In an advantageous development of the solution according to the invention, at least two directly to the terminal plate adjacent well elements each have an outwardly projecting, tab-like edge, said edges and the connection plate parallel and preferably over the entire surface abut each other and are firmly connected. The at least two edges and the connection plate connected therewith thus ensure the required rigidity of the connection plate, without this having to have a significantly greater thickness in the entire area. In this case, of course, the second tub element is designed differently in terms of its edge than the first tub element, in particular the outwardly projecting edge is further pulled in the direction of the first tub element to ensure a planar contact of the edges together and on the connection plate during assembly can. If further tub elements are provided with such edges, they must likewise be shaped accordingly with regard to their design.

Other important features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims, from the drawings and from the associated figure description with reference to the drawings.

It is understood that the features mentioned above and those yet to be explained below can be used not only in the particular combination given, but also in other combinations or in isolation, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Preferred embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and will be described in more detail in the following description, wherein like reference numerals refer to the same or similar or functionally identical components.

According to the Fig. 1 to 3 , An inventive heat exchanger 1, which may be formed, for example, as an oil-water heat exchanger, a connection plate 2 for attachment to a component, in particular for Attach to an internal combustion engine, as well as several stacked well elements 3. According to the invention, at least the tub element 3 directly adjacent to the connection plate 2 now has an outwardly protruding tab-like edge 4, which rests against the connection plate 2 when the heat exchanger 1 is mounted and helps to stiffen it. Looking at the Fig. 1 to 3 , it can be seen that in the illustrated there heat exchangers 1 two directly to the terminal plate 2 adjacent well elements 3 have this outwardly projecting tab-like edge 4.

In order to make the heat exchanger 1 insensitive to vibrations and vibrations of an associated internal combustion engine, previously the connection plate, also called base plate, stiff, that is, with a comparatively large thickness executed. In the heat exchanger 1 according to the invention, however, the terminal plate 2 can be much thinner and thus made easier, since the responsible for the vibration and vibration insensitivity stiffness is generated by the arranged on the tub elements 3 edges. Looking at the Fig. 1 to 3 Further, it can be seen that between the connection plate 2 and the first adjacent well element 3, a spacer plate 5 is arranged. Alternatively, one can also speak of a two-part connection plate 2, wherein both parts are made very thin and thereby the heat exchanger 1 can be better soldered. The spacer plate 5 can be optionally used and also serve stiffening purposes. By the spacer plate 5 and a risk of injury or injury can be reduced because the edges 4 of the tub elements 3 rest directly on the spacer plate 5 on the connection plate 2. In addition, turbulence generators in the form of turbulence plates 6 or other means suitable for this purpose can be provided between the individual tub elements 3 themselves, which can be turbulent Create flow within the heat exchanger 1 and thus ensure improved heat transfer.

As a result of the peripheral rim edges facing downwards and the edges 4 of the trough elements 3 projecting outwards like tabs, a first heat exchange channel can extend directly after the connection plate 2. In this type of heat exchanger 1, the inlets and outlets of the two media can be done through the connection plate 2 as in Fig. 1 to see or like in Fig. 2 and 3 the one medium, usually oil through the connection plate 2 and the other medium through the upper cover plate 8. The tub elements 3 are formed so that they alternately form the vertical inflows and outflows of both media and the horizontal heat exchanger channels of both media. For details of such tub elements is for example on the DE 20 2010 003 080 U1 or the AT 407 920 B directed.

It can also be seen that passage openings 7 are provided on the lug-like outwardly projecting edge 4, through which fastening screws are guided and thereby cause a distortion of the tub elements 3 equipped with the edge 4 with the connection plate 2. For tight connection of the tub elements 3 with each other and the spacer plate 5 and the connection plate 2, these can be soldered together in particular in the region of the edge 4. Wherein the heat exchanger 1 can generally be connected to a filter, not shown, in particular to an oil filter.

With the heat exchanger 1 according to the invention, the following advantages can also be realized:
  • a significantly improved introduction of force over the edges 4 in the connection plate 2 and thus a stiffening of the connection plate 2, without a notch effect,
  • a slight risk of damage or injury, since the edges 4 of the tub elements 3 rest directly on the spacer plate 5 on the connection plate 2,
  • a compact design of the heat exchanger according to the invention by the inventively reduced thickness of the connection plate. 2
