Connection assembly (1) for assembling items of furniture without tools, wherein a first furniture component, which is provided with a fastening pin (3), can be fastened to a second furniture component, which is provided with a receiving module (2), wherein the receiving module (2) comprises a receiving passage (2a) for receiving the fastening pin (3), wherein the fastening pin (3) has an undercut-type recess (4) and, once inserted into the receiving passage (2a), passes through a clamping passage (7) of a clamping slide (6) of a clamping mechanism (5) and can be arrested thereby, wherein the clamping slide (6) is linearly displaceable in a longitudinal guide (5a) transversely to a longitudinal axis (2b) of the receiving passage (2a), wherein the clamping slide (6) has a clamping section (7b) which is adjacent to the clamping passage (7) and which can be brought, by displacing the camping slide (6), into an arresting position engaging behind the recess (4) of the fastening pin (3), and wherein the clamping slide (6) can be displaced by a clamping lever (8) which is pivotable about an axis of rotation (8a) running parallel to the longitudinal axis (2b) of the receiving passage (2a), characterized in that the receiving module (2) has a first stop (14a) in the release position of the clamping lever (8) and has a second stop (14b) in the arresting position of the clamping lever (8), wherein the closing angle range (10a) and the opening angle range (10b) are arranged between the first stop (14a) and the second stop (114b), and wherein the opening angle range (10b) adjoins the first stop (14a) and extends as far as a neutral position (15) which is arranged in particular in the middle between the first stop (14a) and the second stop (14b).
  2. Connection assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamping slide (6) or the clamping lever (8) has a guide cutout (11) and the clamping lever (8) or the clamping slide (6) has a guide pin (12), wherein the guide pin (12) is arranged in the guide cutout (11) such that the guide pin (12) can be brought into contact with a first edge side (11a) of the guide cutout (11) by pivoting the clamping lever (8) into an arresting position (9a) in a closing angle range (10a), so that the clamping slide (6) can be displaced linearly into the arresting position, and wherein the guide pin (12) can be brought into contact with a second edge side (11b) of the guide cutout (11) when the clamping lever (8) is pivoted into a release position (9b) in an opening angle range (10b), so that the clamping slide (6) can be displaced linearly into a release position.
  3. Connection assembly according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the clamping lever (8) has an actuating lever (13) which extends radially relative to the axis of rotation (8a).
  4. Connection assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the closing angle range (10b) adjoins the first stop (14a) and the second stop (14b).
  5. Connection assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamping mechanism (5) has a return spring (16), via which the clamping lever (8) can be pivoted into the neutral position (15) from a position between the second stop (14b) and the neutral position (15).
  6. Connection assembly according to one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the first edge side (11a) of the guide cutout (11) has serrations (17).
  7. Connection assembly according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a fastening pin (3) can be received in the receiving passage (2a) with a form fit in the release position and in the arresting position.
  8. Connection assembly according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the recess (4) of the fastening pin (3) is designed as a circumferential groove.
  9. Connection assembly according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fastening pin (3) is attached to a strut (18) or a panel (19) and the receiving module (2) is attached to a panel (19) or a strut (18).
  10. Connection assembly according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the first furniture component has two fastening pins (3) and the second furniture component has two receiving passages (2a) for receiving the fastening pins (3), wherein a distance between two adjacent receiving passages (2a) of a receiving module (2) is at least twice as great as the distance from one receiving passage (2a) to an adjacent furniture component edge, in particular a panel edge (20).
