Claims (8)

  1. A height-adjusting device (14), in particular for a height-adjustable table (1),
    - having an inner and an outer tube (15, 5), which are movable telescopically relative to one another;
    - having a profile part (17), which is arranged inside the inner tube (15); and
    - a bearing means (26), which mounts the inner tube (15) on the profile part (17) in a manner such that it is movable in the longitudinal direction (L) of the profile part (17),
    the profile part (17) being formed with a cross-section (21), which at least in part accommodates a gas cylinder (42) for moving the inner tube (15) relative to the outer tube (5), characterised in that the portion (21) of the profile part (17) is of U-shaped construction.
  2. A height-adjusting device according to claim 1, characterised in that the outer tube (5) and the profile part (17) are stationary and the inner tube (15) is provided to be movable relative thereto.
  3. A height-adjusting device according to either one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the bearing means (26) comprises at least one sliding block (52).
  4. A height-adjusting device according to claim 3, characterised in that the sliding block (52) is mounted on the inner tube (15) and engages around a portion (22) of the profile part (17) so as to slide in the longitudinal direction (L) thereof.
  5. A height-adjusting device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that an insert (27) is provided, which comprises a platform (35), on which a gas cylinder (42) is supported for moving the inner tube (15) relative to the outer tube (5), and/or which connects a support element (7) firmly to the outer tube (5) and/or the profile part (17) and/or which comprises a contour (31) in which the profile part (17) engages form-fittingly in a plane transverse of the longitudinal direction (L).
  6. A height-adjusting device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that an insert (27) connects the outer tube (5) firmly to the profile part (17).
  7. A height-adjustable table (1),
