If the workman was to move in an upward direction the actuating levers 4, 5 rotate in response to the pulling of the lanyard causing the lower lever 5 to disengage with the track 2, as illustrated in Figure 7, so that the safety clamp 1 can freely slide along the track 2.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une attache de sécurité destinée à être utilisée dans un système antichute ayant une voie configurée pour suivre un chemin essentiellement vertical ou incliné. L'attache de sécurité peut être montée sur une voie avec l'une quelconque des extrémités plus en haut et comprend un corps et des premiers et des seconds éléments d'actionnement montés de manière rotative au corps. Un desdits éléments d'actionnement tourne en réponse à l'application d'une charge dirigée vers le haut pour permettre à l'attache de coulisser librement le long de la voie suivant la direction de ladite charge. Ledit élément d'actionnement tourne également suivant une direction opposée en réponse à l'application d'une charge suivant une direction vers le bas de sorte qu'il entre en prise avec une voie pour empêcher le déplacement vers le bas de ladite attache de sécurité le long de la voie. Les premier et second éléments d'actionnement sont configurés de sorte que l'élément d'actionnement qui tourne pour permettre à l'attache de coulisser librement le long de la voie suivant ladite une direction mais entre en prise avec la voie lors d'un déplacement suivant la direction vers le bas, dépend de l'extrémité de l'attache de sécurité qui se trouve le plus en haut sur la voie.
