Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vakuumpumpe mit einem ersten Raum (4), einem zweiten Raum (6, 32), einer zwischen den Räumen angeordneten Wand (8), einer Welle (10), die eine in der Wand angeordnete Öffnung durchsetzt, und einem im zweiten Raum angeordneten und die Welle unterstützenden Wälzlager (12, 22), wobei zwischen erstem und zweiten Raum ein zur Welle hin geöffnete Fangnut (50) angeordnet ist, welche eine derart gestaltete radiale Begrenzungsfläche (52) aufweist, dass aus im Wesentlichen radialer Richtung auftreffendes Schmiermittel umgelenkt und in einer Vorzugsrichtung zusammengeführt wird.
