Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft ein Adapterelement, welches zwei Gehäuseteile umfasst, zur seriellen Datenübertragung in einem Fahrzeug, gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
- Derartige Adapterelemente sind etwa in Kraftfahrzeugen oder Luftfahrzeugen einsetzbar und werden meist in großen Stückzahlen benötigt. Zur kostengünstigen Bereitstellung entsprechender Adapterelemente sind ein einfacher Aufbau und eine einfache Herstellbarkeit von großer Bedeutung. Hinzu kommt, dass solche Adapterelemente elektromagnetisch gut geschirmt sein müssen, damit keine abgestrahlten elektromagnetischen Wellen beispielsweise in der Bordelektronik des betreffenden Fahrzeugs Störungen verursachen können. Zudem muss vermieden werden, dass durch äußere elektromagnetische Strahlung im Adapterelement Störungen der Datenübertragung hervorgerufen werden.
- Aus der
WO 07 118562 A1 - Die
US Patentschrift 6948984 offenbart ein Adapterelement nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 mit zwei abschirmenden Gehäuseteilen, wobei Zungen des innen liegenden Gehäuseteils in radial durchgängigen Ausnehmungen des äußeren Gehäuseteils angeordnet sind. - Weiterhin Ist bekannt statt eines durchgängigen Fahrzeugkabels Adapterstücke mit zwei Steckverbindern einzusetzen.
- Die vorbekannten Bauformen haben unter anderem den Nachteil, dass sie, insbesondere bei hoch-frequenten Datenübertragungen, wie sie bei hohen Datenübertragungsraten auftreten, keine ausreichende elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit (EMV) aufweisen.
- Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Adapterelement zu schaffen, welches überaus gut abgeschirmt ist, so dass die abgestrahlte elektromagnetische Leistung minimiert ist, bzw. eine hohe EMV-Dichtigkeit gewährleistet ist. Weiterhin soll das Adapterelement dennoch mit vergleichsweise geringem Herstellungsaufwand fertigbar sein.
- Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch die Merkmale des Anspruches 1 gelöst.
- Erfindungsgemäß umfasst das Adapterelement zur seriellen Datenübertragung in einem Fahrzeug ein erstes Gehäuseteil, welches elektrisch leitend ausgestaltet ist und mit einem Schirm verbindbar ist. Weiterhin umfasst das Adapterelement ein zweites Gehäuseteil, welches ebenfalls elektrisch leitend ausgestaltet ist und zumindest ein Kontaktelement aufweist. Die beiden Gehäuseteile sind so angeordnet, dass das zweite Gehäuseteil vom ersten Gehäuseteil in einem ersten Bereich umschlossen ist, wobei sich der erste Bereich entlang der Längsachse des Adapterelements erstreckt. Das Kontaktelement ist in diesem ersten Bereich mit dem ersten Gehäuseteil elektrisch kontaktiert, wobei zur Herstellung der Kontaktierung das Adapterelement so konfiguriert ist, dass eine Zugänglichkeit zur Kontaktierungsstelle von außen mit einer Richtungskomponente orthogonal zur Längsachse gewährleistet ist. Das zweite Gehäuseteil ist vom ersten Gehäuseteil innerhalb eines weiteren Bereichs, bezogen auf eine Richtungskomponente orthogonal zur Längsachse beidseitig umgeben, wobei sich auch der weitere Bereich entlang der Längsachse des Adapterelements erstreckt.
- Der erste Bereich kann auch als Abschnitt des Adapterelements mit einer Ausdehnung in axialer Richtung gesehen werden, wobei sich dieser Abschnitt dadurch auszeichnet, dass in diesem das zweite Gehäuseteil vom ersten Gehäuseteil umschlossen ist.
- Somit stellt der weitere Bereich einen weiteren Teilabschnitt des Adapterelements dar, innerhalb dessen das zweite Gehäuseteil vom ersten Gehäuseteil, bezogen auf eine Richtungskomponente orthogonal zur Längsachse, beidseitig umgeben ist, wobei sich auch der weitere Teilabschnitt entlang der Längsachse des Adapterelements erstreckt.
- Innerhalb des weiteren Bereichs schneidet also eine gedachte Linie, die von der zentralen Längsachse kommend radial nach außen führt zunächst das erste Gehäuseteil dann das zweite Gehäuseteil und schließlich wieder das erste Gehäuseteil. Insbesondere kann das Adapterelement so ausgestaltet sein, dass im kontaktierten Zustand das Kontaktelement mit axialer Überdeckung am ersten Gehäuseteil festgelegt ist.
- Das erste Gehäuseteil kann eine im Wesentlichen quaderförmige Außenkontur aufweisen. Mit Vorteil werden sämtliche Außenflächen des ersten Gehäuseteils, mit Ausnahme derjenigen Fläche, welche für das Zusammenwirken der Steckverbindungselemente relevant ist, vom Schirmgehäuse zumindest teilweise umschlossen.
- Derartige Adapterelemente werden in der Regel in besonders großen Stückzahlen benötigt, weshalb es daher außerordentlich wichtig ist, dass diese Adapterelemente einfach und kostengünstig herstellbar sind. Aus diesem Grund und im Hinblick auf eine hohe EMV-Dichtigkeit ist mit Vorteil das erste Gehäuseteil einstückig, insbesondere als ein Gussteil, ausgebildet. Insbesondere kann das erste Gehäuseteil durch ein Zinkdruckgussverfahren oder ein Metal Injection Moulding Verfahren hergestellt sein.
- Das erste Gehäuseteil weist zur Herstellung der Zugänglichkeit der Kontaktierungsstelle eine Ausnehmung auf, welche die Wand des ersten Gehäuseteils nicht vollständig durchdringt, also als ein Sackloch, etwa mit rundem oder ovalen Querschnitt, ausgebildet ist.
- In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist das Kontaktelement mit dem ersten Gehäuseteil durch eine Schweißverbindung elektrisch kontaktiert, wobei alternativ dazu an dieser Stelle auch eine Lötverbindung oder eine Bördelung hergestellt werden kann. Durch die Ausnehmung ist die Zugänglichkeit beispielsweise einer Schweißelektrode zur Kontaktierungsstelle ermöglicht.
- Die Abstrahlung elektromagnetischer Wellen hängt auch von der Geometrie des abstrahlenden Körpers ab. Als besonders vorteilhaft hat sich das erfindungsgemäße Adapterelement bei der Verwendung eines Universal-Serial-Bus-Steckverbinders (USB-Steckverbinder) erwiesen, insbesondere bei einem USB-Standard-Stecker oder einer USB-Standard-Buchse vom Typ A. Insbesondere kann das erfindungsgemäße Adapterelement für eine Schnittstelle gemäß dem USB 2.0 - Standard eingesetzt werden, ohne dass Schwierigkeiten mit der elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit zu erwarten sind. Demnach sind Datenübertragungsraten von 480 MBit/s problemlos möglich, obwohl derartig hohe Datenübertragungsraten hohe Spannungs-Frequenzen im Adapterelement zur Folge haben.
- Das zweite Gehäuseteil umschließt mit Vorteil ein Universal-Serial-Bus-Steckverbinder, insbesondere einen Standard-Stecker oder eine Standard-Buchse vom Typ A.
- Das erfindungsgemäße Adapterelement hat sich als besonders vorteilhaft erwiesen für Bauweisen mit mindestens vier Adern. Demnach umschließt oder bildet mit Vorteil das erste Gehäuseteil einen vieradrigen Steckverbinder, insbesondere einen Standard-Stecker oder eine Standard-Buchse für ein so genanntes Stern-Vierer-Kabel. Weiterhin kann das erste Gehäuseteil einen Teilbereich mit einem runden Querschnitt zur Verbindung mit dem Schirm aufweisen.
- Unter Steckverbinder sind im Folgenden elektrische Kupplungen zu verstehen, die sowohl als Stecker, als auch als Buchsen ausgebildet sein können.
- Vorteilhafte Ausbildungen der Erfindung entnimmt man den abhängigen Ansprüchen.
- Weitere Einzelheiten und Vorteile des erfindungsgemäßen Adapterelements ergeben sich aus der nachfolgenden Beschreibung eines Ausführungsbeispiels anhand der beiliegenden Figuren.

- In den
Figuren 1 und 2 ist ein erstes Gehäuseteil 1 eines Adapterelements gezeigt. Das einstückige erste Gehäuseteil 1 ist elektrisch leitend aus einem Metall im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel mit Hilfe eines so genannten MIM-Verfahrens (Metal Injection Moulding) hergestellt worden, welches die kostengünstige Herstellung von vergleichsweise komplexen Körpergeometrien erlaubt. Weiterhin ist das erste Gehäuseteil 1 vergleichsweise dickwandig ausgeführt, um den elektrischen Widerstand in dem aus Metall hergestellten ersten Gehäuseteil 1 zu minimieren. Das erste Gehäuseteil 1 weist eine Längsachse X auf, welche parallel zur Koordinatenachse x verläuft. Gemäß derFigur 1 liegt dann eine weitere Koordinatenachse y orthogonal zur Koordinatenachse x im Raum. - Das erste Gehäuseteil 1 umfasst zwei bezüglich der Längsachse X symmetrisch angeordnete Ausnehmungen 1.1, die als Langlöcher ausgestaltet sind und welche durch jeweils eine Wand 1.3 in y-Richtung begrenzt sind, so dass die Wandung des ersten Gehäuseteils 1 durch die Ausnehmungen 1.1 in y-Richtung nicht vollständig durchdrungen wird. Zudem liegt in den Bereichen um die Ausnehmungen 1.1 herum jeweils ein Spalt 1.2 zwischen der Außenwand des ersten Gehäuseteils 1 und der Wand 1.3. Auf diese Weise ist im ersten Gehäuseteil 1 ein um die Längsachse X herum geschlossener Raum geschaffen, wobei durch die jeweilige Versetzung der Wand 1.3 bezüglich der Ausnehmung 1.1 keine durchgängige Öffnung des ersten Gehäuseteils 1 vorliegt. Durch die spezielle Anordnung ist trotz der Ausnehmungen 1.1 für das erste Gehäuseteil 1 eine "Sichtdichtigkeit" in y-Richtung gegeben. Weiterhin umfasst das erste Gehäuseteil 1 Rastnasen 1.4, 1.5 zur verrastbaren Verbindung des ersten Gehäuseteils 1 mit einem in den Figuren nicht dargestellten HSD-Steckelement (HSD = High Speed Data). Weiterhin weist das erste Gehäuseteil 1 ein hohlzylindrisches Endstück 1.6 auf, welches mit einem Schirm, beispielsweise mit einem Kabelgeflecht eines Stern-Vierer-Kabels, verbindbar ist.
- Gemäß der
Figur 3 umfasst ein zweites Gehäuseteil 2, welches durch ein Stanz-Biege-Verfahren hergestellt wurde, ein Kontaktelement 2.1, das als Lasche des einstückigen zweiten Gehäuseteils 2 ausgestaltet ist. Wie das erste Gehäuseteil 1 ist auch das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 aus Metall und somit elektrisch leitend hergestellt. Das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 dient im vorgestellten Ausführungsbeispiel zur Aufnahme eines Steckverbinders, hier in Form einer flachen im Wesentlichen quaderförmigen USB-Buchse vom Typ A. Weiterhin ist am zweiten Gehäuseteil 2 ein Isolatorelement 4 angeordnet, in welchem vier Innenleiter 3 verlaufen, deren Enden aus dem Isolatorelement 4 ragen und als Steckerpins dienen. Die anderen in einer Reihe angeordneten Enden der Innenleiter 3 sind innerhalb des zweiten Gehäuseteils 2 in der USB-Buchse verschweißt und in derFigur 3 nicht sichtbar. - Im Zuge der Montage wird das erste Gehäuseteil 1 über das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 aufgeschoben (in der
Figur 3 von links kommend) bis das Isolatorelement 4 am Boden des ersten Gehäuseteils 1 anschlägt, so dass das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 vom ersten Gehäuseteil 1 in einem Bereich A vom ersten Gehäuseteil 1 umschlossen ist. Der Bereich A erstreckt sich entlang der Längsachse X des Adapterelements, d. h. dass der Bereich A eine axiale Ausdehnung entsprechend dem Pfeil zur Kennzeichnung des Bereichs A in derFigur 3 aufweist. Die beiden Gehäuseteile 1, 2 sind passgenau dimensioniert, so dass kein Luftspalt an der Grenze der Überdeckung entsteht. Die beiden Kontaktelemente 2.1 werden beim Zusammenfügen der zwei Gehäuseteile 1, 2 jeweils durch den Spalt 1.2 geführt. Die Enden der Innenleiter 3 befinden sich innerhalb des Endstücks 1.6, so dass dieses als Teil eines Steckverbinders dienen kann. - In der
Figur 4 ist das Adapterelement, welches zur seriellen Datenübertragung in einem Fahrzeug dient, nach erfolgter Montage der beiden Gehäuseteile 1, 2 gezeigt. Die Kontaktelemente 2.1 sind durch die Ausnehmungen 1.1 im Bereich A von außen her, also aus y-Richtung bzw. gegen die y-Richtung (± y- Richtung) für die Herstellung einer guten elektrischen Kontaktierung zugänglich. Weiterhin ist das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 vom ersten Gehäuseteil 1 innerhalb eines weiteren Bereichs U (siehe auchFigur 5 ) beidseitig vom ersten Gehäuseteil 1 umschlossen. Der Begriff beidseitig bezieht sich auf die Richtung y, die orthogonal zur Längsachse X orientiert ist. Demnach ist das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 in y-Richtung im Bereich U beidseitig durch das erste Gehäuseteil 1 umgeben, wobei innen liegend benachbart jeweils die Wand 1.3 von außen zu sehen ist. - In dieser zusammengefügten Anordnung können nun die Kontaktelemente 2.1 an den Wänden 1.3 durch eine punktuelle Schweißverbindung miteinander bleibend verbunden werden, so dass eine ausgezeichnete elektrische Kontaktierung zwischen den Gehäuseteilen 1, 2 erreicht wird. In der
Figur 5 ist eine Schweißelektrode schematisch als senkrechter Pfeil innerhalb der Ausnehmung 1.1 dargestellt. - Durch die spezielle Konstruktion, bei der sich im Bereich U das erste Gehäuseteil 1 und das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 überdecken, wird quasi ein Labyrinth-Effekt für elektromagnetische Strahlen erzielt, so dass das Adapter-element eine hervorragende EMV-Dichtigkeit erreicht.
- Im Betrieb des Adapterelements wird am Endstück 1.6, als Steckverbinder eines Stern-Vierer-Kabels dient, ein entsprechendes Gegenstück angesteckt, so dass die vier Enden der Innenleiter 3 mit den entsprechenden Adern des Stern-Vierer-Kabels in Kontakt sind. Dabei sind zwei der Adern für die Übertragung von Daten bestimmt. Die anderen beiden Adern sollen im Betrieb des Adapterelements ein an den USB-Steckverbinder angeschlossenes Gerät mit einer Spannung von 5 V versorgen. Die vier Adern sind im Stern-Vierer-Kabel von einem Schirm umgeben. Dieser Schirm ist mit dem Endstück 1.6 kontaktiert, so dass am ersten Gehäuseteil 1 im Betrieb des Adapterelements das Schirmpotenzial anliegt. Durch die Kontaktierung des ersten Gehäuseteils 1 mit dem zweiten Gehäuseteil 2 mit Hilfe der oben beschriebenen Schweißverbindung ist auch das zweite Gehäuseteil 2 sicher und zuverlässig mit dem Schirmpotenzial verbunden.
- Bedingt durch die hohen Datenübertragungsraten, z. B. 480 Mbit/s, treten im Adapterelement hohe Spannungs-Frequenzen, in der Größenordnung von beispielsweise 40 MHz auf. Es hat sich nun gezeigt, dass ein entsprechendes Adapterelement in herkömmlicher Bauweise im Betrieb vergleichsweise hohe Abstrahlpegel verursacht. Insbesondere können die hohen Abstrahlpegel in der Bordelektronik Störungen auslösen, was insbesondere bei sicherheitsrelevanten Funktionen der Bordelektronik unter allen Umständen vermieden werden muss. Durch das erfindungsgemäße Adapterelement ist eine elektromagnetische Unverträglichkeit einer USB-Schnittstelle in einem Fahrzeug ausgeschlossen.
Claims (7)
- Adapterelement zur seriellen Datenübertragung in einem Fahrzeug, umfassend· ein erstes Gehäuseteil (1), welches elektrisch leitend ausgestaltet ist und mit einem Schirm verbindbar ist,ein zweites Gehäuseteil (2), welches ebenfalls elektrisch leitend ausgestaltet ist und zumindest ein Kontaktelement (2.1) aufweist, wobei
die beiden Gehäuseteile (1, 2) so angeordnet sind, dass das zweite Gehäuseteil (2) vom ersten Gehäuseteil (1) in einem Bereich (A) umschlossen ist, welcher sich entlang der Längsachse (X) des Adapter-elements erstreckt, und
das zumindest eine Kontaktelement (2.1) in diesem Bereich (A) mit dem ersten Gehäuseteil (1) elektrisch kontaktiert ist, wobei zur Herstellung der Kontaktierung das Adapterelement so konfiguriert ist, dass eine Zugänglichkeit von außen mit einer Richtungskomponente (y) orthogonal zur Längsachse (X) gewährleistet ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
das zweite Gehäuseteil (2) beidseitig vom ersten Gehäuseteil (1) umgeben ist, so dass
die Wandung des ersten Gehäuseteils (1) innerhalb eines weiteren Bereichs (U), welcher sich innerhalb des Bereichs (A) ebenfalls entlang der Längsachse (X) erstreckt, eine Außenwand, eine Innenwand (1.3) und einen zwischen der Außenwand und der Innenwand (1.3) liegenden Spalt (1.2) aufweist, wobei die Wandung des ersten Gehäuseteils (1) zur Herstellung der Zugänglichkeit eine Ausnehmung (1.1) aufweist, und die Innenwand (1.3) die Ausnehmung (1.1) bezogen auf die Richtungskomponente (y) orthogonal zur Längsachse (X) begrenzt, so dass die Wandung des ersten Gehäuseteils (1) durch die Ausnehmung (1.1) bezogen auf die Richtungskomponente (y) orthogonal zur Längsachse (X) nicht vollständig durchdrungen wird und das zumindest eine Kontaktelement (2.1) beim Zusammenfügen des ersten Gehäuseteils (1) und des zweiten Gehäuseteils (2) durch den Spalt (1.2) geführt wird und im weiteren Bereich (U) das zweite Gehäuseteil (2) im Spalt (1.2) angeordnet ist. - Adapterelement gemäß dem Anspruch 1, wobei das erste Gehäuseteil (1) einstückig, insbesondere als ein Gussteil, ausgebildet ist.
- Adapterelement gemäß einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das erste Gehäuseteil (1) durch ein Zinkdruckgussverfahren oder ein Metal Injection Moulding Verfahren hergestellt ist.
- Adapterelement gemäß einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Kontaktelement (2.1) mit dem ersten Gehäuseteil (1) durch eine Schweißverbindung elektrisch kontaktiert ist.
- Adapterelement gemäß einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das zweite Gehäuseteil (2) einen Universal-Serial-Bus-Steckver-binder umschließt, insbesondere einen Standard-Stecker oder eine Standard-Buchse vom Typ A.
- Adapterelement gemäß einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das erste Gehäuseteil (1) einen vieradrigen Steckverbinder umschließt, insbesondere einen Standard-Stecker oder eine Standard-Buchse für ein Sternvierer-Kabel.
- Adapterelement gemäß einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das erste Gehäuseteil (1) einen Teilbereich (1.6) mit einem runden Querschnitt zur Verbindung mit dem Schirm aufweist.
