Claims (13)

  1. A packing for bicycle pedals (12a,12b), comprising
    a pedestal (14) and a first pedal (12a) supported thereon, the shape of the pedestal (14) being adapted to the outer contours of the first pedal (12a),
    a first pedal (12a) supported on the pedestal (14), being fixed on the pedestal (14) by a fixing means (16),
    a receiving cavity (18) in which a second pedal (12b) is received,
    the receiving cavity (18) with the second pedal (12b) is arranged behind the pedestal (14) when viewed from the side (A) of the packing (10) facing toward an observer, and comprises the inner volume of the pedestal (14), i.e. the space (20) arranged directly behind the pedestal (14).
  2. The packing of claim 1, characterized in that the front side of the receiving cavity (18), i.e. the side (A) of the receiving cavity facing toward the observer, is closed by the pedestal (14), and the rear side and optionally existing side portions of the receiving cavity are closed by at least one rear wall element (18a,18b,18c,18d).
  3. The packing of claim 2, characterized in that said rear wall element (18a,18b,18c,18d) is formed by a base element (22) of the packing (10) and the packing (10) further comprises a front element (24) via which said base element (22) is connected preferably to the pedestal (24).

The packing of claim 3, characterized in that the front element (24) comprises a recess (26) whose shape and dimensions substantially correspond to those of the pedestal (14), wherein, in the assembled state of the packing (10), the pedestal extends from the rear through said recess (26) in the direction of the observer, and wherein the pedestal (14) is particularly provided with a preferably circumferential edge (28) on its lower region for keeping the pedestal (14) fixed in the recess (26) of the front element (24), said edge (28) extending parallel to the front element (24) between the latter and the base element (22).

The packing of any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the pedestal (14) comprises two domes (30a,30b), their shapes and dimensions being adapted to two recesses formed in the pedal (12a) which is to be packed, said two domes (30a,30b) comprising, at their tip, particularly an elastically deformable rear-engagement portion (16) for engagement behind an undercut (32) of the first pedal (12a).
  6. The packing of claim 5, characterized in that the two domes (30a,30b) of the pedestal (14) are arranged at a mutual distance in a direction transverse to the axis (34) of the first pedal (12a) so that the axis (34) of the first pedal (12a) can be received in the intermediate space.
  7. The packing of any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that on its side (A) facing toward the observer, the receiving cavity (18) for the second pedal (12b) is closed by the pedestal (14) and/or a front element (24) so that the contents of the receiving cavity (18) are not visible to the observer.
  8. The packing of claim 5, characterized by an elastically deformable fastening clamp (36), preferably made of metal, for attachment of the first pedal (12a) to the pedestal (14), said fastening clamp comprising two fastening projections (36a,36b), wherein, with the first pedal (12a) mounted to the pedestal (14), a respective fastening projection (36a,36b) is fitted into one of the two domes (30a,30b) of the pedestal (14) and, in addition to said elastically deformable rear-engagement portion (16) of the dome (30a,30b), engages behind an undercut (32) of the first pedal (12a).
  9. The packing of claim 8, characterized in that, when the first pedal (12a) has been fixed on the pedestal (14) of the packing (10), the first pedal is in contact with the pedestal (14) only by the lower portion (C) of the pedal, wherein the fixation and/or the attachment of the pedal (12a) on the pedestal (14) occur only at the lower portion (C) of the pedal so that the other five faces of the pedal (12a) are not covered by any element of the packing (10) and thus are visible to and/or touchable by an interested person.
  10. The packing of any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the pedestal (14) comprises, at a side thereof, a recess (38) for receiving an abutment element (40) of the first pedal (12a), said abutment element extending on the inner side of the footplate of the pedal (12a) vertically to the footplate and at an angle of 60° to 90° relative to the pedal axis (34) and, particularly, vertically to the pedal axis away from the pedal (12a).
  11. The packing of any one of claims 1 to 10, characterized by a second receiving cavity (42) for accommodating an instruction manual or other product information, said second receiving cavity (42) being preferably formed between a base element (22) and a front element (24) of the packing (10).
  12. The packing of any one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the pedestal (14) is made of papier-mâché and a base element (22) and a front element (24) of the packing (10) are preferably made of cardboard.
  13. The packing of any one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the first and the second pedal (12a, 12b) are arranged above each other in the packing (10), the pedestal (14) being arranged between them and, preferably, the first and the second pedal (12a,12b) being connected to each other and to the packing (10) via a recess in the pedestal with the aid of a connection element (44), e.g. a twistable wire.
