Dabei kann es sich um eine ebene bzw. im Wesentlichen ebene Platte handeln oder um eine gekrümmte bzw. um eine etwas gekrümmte Platte handeln. Der Begriff Länge bezieht sich im Übrigen auf die vertikale Länge im aufgestellten Zustand des Schuhs bzw. Damenschuhs. ― Wie oben bereits dargelegt bezieht sich die Erfindung selbstverständlich auch auf ein Paar Schuhe bzw. auf ein Paar Damenschuhe und die hier und nachfolgend erläuterten Merkmale gelten somit auch für den zweiten Schuh eines solchen Schuhpaares. Gemäß einer Ausführungsform besteht eine erfindungsgemäße Absatzblende zumindest teilweise bzw. größtenteils aus Kunststoff. Gemäß einer vorteilhaften Ausführungsform weist eine Absatzblende einen vorzugsweise dreischichtigen Aufbau auf. Absatzseitig ist eine Absatzblende mit einer Antirutschschicht versehen. Auf einer dem Absatz abgewandten Oberfläche der Antirutschschicht ist gemäß einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform eine Stützschicht angeordnet. Bevorzugt ist eine dem Absatz abgewandte Oberfläche der Stützschicht mit einer Dekorschicht abgedeckt. Empfohlenermaßen ist die Dekorschicht auf die Stützschicht aufgeklebt.
