Definitions
- the invention relates to a chain saw comprising a quick-release device and a sword.
- Known chainsaws include a main body with one or more handles to hold the chain saw in use and a saw chain / sword assembly removably attached to the main body.
- a drive unit in particular an electric or internal combustion engine, which drives a drive pinion, which is in communication with the saw chain for driving.
- the sword is a substantially elongated, rectangular and flat body with a rounded end, which has on its outer edge a guide groove for guiding the saw chain.
- a chainsaw is usually offered packaged in the trade, that find their sword and chain as separate parts next to the main body in the package, so that the customer must assemble the parts themselves before putting the saw.
- a housing cover located on the housing which covers the chain drive in the sawing operation, usually has to be removed from the main body. This is often not possible without tools.
- the saw chain has to be looped around the sword that it runs in the guide groove of the sword. Only now can the sword with the saw chain attached to it be connected to the main body of the chain saw. Care must be taken to ensure that the saw chain does not slip out of the guide groove in the blade and that the saw chain rests correctly on the drive pinion connected to the drive unit.
- the housing cover can then be reapplied, whereby it can not yet be locked in its final position, since before the tension of the saw chain on the sword must be properly adjusted. This is necessary for safety reasons, but also to optimize the sawing properties. Otherwise, there is a particular danger that the saw chain jumps from the sword during operation of the chainsaw and inflicts serious injuries on the operator.
- manually setting the optimum chain tension is difficult and requires experience and practice. In conventional chain saws, the tension of the chain is often possible via a lever located on the chain saw. After the voltage has been applied, the housing is completely locked in its final position and serves in this way to fix the sword between the machine and the housing cover.
- the saw chain will lengthen over time due to the tensile stress acting on it during operation, so that even if the saw chain and the sword remain in the chain saw for a long time, a regular re-tensioning of the saw chain is necessary to continuously optimum safety and to ensure cutting action. Inexperienced users are often overwhelmed with this retightening of the saw chain.
- the housing cover must be released from its lock in order to move the sword to a suitable extent so far that the tension of the running thereon saw chain is corrected again. Following this, the housing cover to fix the sword is to be locked again on the main body.
- the drive unit is provided for driving a running over a sword and a drive pinion saw chain.
- the drive pinion is connected to the drive unit via a drive shaft.
- the sword is slidably mounted to the chassis of a main body of the chain saw on a support surface, with a wedge mounted on the sword.
- a rotatable tension lever assembly is mounted on the chassis in the area of the drive shaft.
- the sword includes a counterwedge.
- the object of the invention is therefore to form a chain saw or parts thereof so that attaching the saw chain and sword on the main body of the chain saw is easy to do and easy clamping of the saw chain is possible.
- the drive pinion is connected via a drive shaft with the drive unit in connection.
- the chassis of the chainsaw is provided with bearing surfaces on which the sword comes to rest on the main body during its mounting slide-movable.
- a movable clamping lever assembly comprising a counter-wedge is mounted, which cooperates with the mounted on the sword wedge. The interaction of wedge and counterwedge causes the locking of the sword on the chainsaw and at the same time the tensioning of the saw chain.
- the clamping lever assembly on the one hand on an open position in which at least the saw chain and the sword can be removed from the main body of the chain saw, and on the other hand, a closed position in which the saw chain stretched on the drive pinion and the sword and the sword is firmly locked to the chassis of the main body.
- the drive pinion is applied to this drive shaft only when mounting the chain unit to the chassis of the chain saw, for example by plugging.
- a drive pinion is already applied to the drive shaft before mounting a sword, so that during or after assembly of this sword, the saw chain is placed around the drive pinion.
- the sword, the saw chain and the drive pinion driving the saw chain form a structural unit.
- a wedge and a spacer are mounted on the sword.
- the spacer is movably mounted in the longitudinal direction of the sword and is tensioned against the sword by spring force.
- the direction of the spring force is oriented in the direction of the drive pinion so that the spacer presses by means of the spring force, the drive pinion from the sword in the direction of the chain or pulls. In this way, the drive pinion is held with engagement in the chain between the chain and the sword.
- the pressure force exerted by the spacer on the drive pinion causes the saw chain to be held in tension so that it does not automatically slip out of the guide groove in the blade.
- a contact surface is formed on the drive pinion about the axis of rotation at which the spacer comes to rest.
- the wedge is firmly locked on the sword.
- the wedge is mounted on the one hand movable relative to the sword along its longitudinal axis and movable relative to the spacer.
- the wedge is connected via micro gears with the sword.
- a wedge is mounted on the sword with the quick-release device of the chain saw, which is suitable for use in the chain unit described above.
- the wedge is firmly locked on the sword.
- the wedge is movably mounted relative to the sword along its longitudinal axis.
- the wedge is connected via micro gears with the sword.
- the underside of the wedge lying on the sword is provided with a micro-toothing.
- a corresponding micro-toothing is applied along those longitudinal sections on the top of the sword, on which the wedge can move.
- the micro-toothing is preferably designed such that the wedge can be displaced with respect to the sword in only one direction along its longitudinal axis (this is with the sword mounted in the direction of the drive pinion).
- the sword in addition to the wedge, also has a spacer movably mounted in the longitudinal direction of the sword.
- a counter-holder is formed on the chassis in the region of the support surface for the sword, which preferably projects beyond this support surface vertically.
- the middle part, as well as corresponding to the underlying portion of the sword so recessed that when applying the chain unit on the support surface of the anvil can penetrate the wedge in this recess and in follow the wedge overhanging.
- the recess in the wedge, as well as in the underlying area in the sword should be designed as a longitudinal groove, in which a located on the chassis below the counter-holder elongated spring can engage.
- the tensioning lever arrangement for tensioning the saw chain and locking the sword on the chassis comprises a lid, which can for example also be formed directly by that housing cover which covers the chain drive in the sawing operation.
- a linkage is provided, by means of which the rotary movement of the cover is transformed into a longitudinal movement of a rod becomes.
- This rod in turn is in connection with a counter wedge and thus promotes its rotational and longitudinal movement.
- the counter wedge is also pivoted onto the wedge mounted on the sword. Then realized via link and rod connection between the lid and counter-wedge causes a longitudinal displacement of the counter-wedge on the wedge.
- the counter-wedge pushes under the mounted on the chassis, over the wedge on the sword standing out counterhold. This causes the counterwedge is pressed with increasing longitudinal displacement on the wedge. This ensures that transmits the longitudinal movement of the counter-wedge on the sword mounted on the wedge on the sword.
- the pressing force acting perpendicularly on the chassis which the counter-holder generates between the counter-wedge and the wedge, generates a locking of the chain unit on the main body of the chain saw.
- the pressing pressure between the wedge and counterwedge further causes a longitudinal displacement of the sword in the direction away from the drive pinion, so that the saw chain is tensioned.
- a spring formed on the chassis extends into a groove located in the wedge and sword in the omission, it is profitable to provide this spring with a slot in which the spacer in a Longitudinal displacement can penetrate unhindered.
- the rod by means of which the movement of the cover is transferred to the counter-wedge, with one or more Spring biased so that the spring force supports the longitudinal movement of the rod. Furthermore, the cooperation between cover and counter wedge can be profitably improved by introducing a movably mounted connecting web between the two components.
- the clamping mechanism can be configured such that it is actuated via a link connected to the lid of the tensioning lever assembly and acts on the connected to the counter-wedge rod.
- the clamping mechanism causes between the cover and rod adjusts a traction, which supports the transmission of the rotational movement of the lid in a linear movement of the rod. In this way, the counter-wedge is moved towards the wedge located on the sword, so that it locks with the main body of the chain saw and the saw chain is tensioned.
- the counter wedge is pulled by means of a longitudinal movement of the rod again from the wedge mounted on the sword.
- the longitudinal movement of the rod is initially supported by acting between the lid and rod clamping mechanism.
- this lever exerts a compressive force on a stop attached to the rod, so that in this way also the rotational movement of the lid is transformed into a linear movement of the rod.
- the rod In order to improve the adhesion by means of the clamping mechanism, it is advisable to carry out the rod in the region in which it interacts with the clamping mechanism, advantageously with a non-slip, in particular corrugated surface. It is also conceivable to carry out the bar in a profitable manner, at least in the area of interaction with the clamping mechanism with an elliptical cross-section.
- a circular cross-section of the rod and the clamping mechanism can be designed such that there the cross section of the passage for the rod is performed elliptical.
- the lid of the clamping lever assembly is provided with a fastening element, by means of which it is automatically or manually fixed after completion of the locking and clamping operation on the chassis of the chain saw.
- the counterwedge and a locking lever are mounted on the cover which is pivotably mounted on the chassis of the chain saw.
- the locking lever is pivotally mounted relative to the lid.
- a locking pin is formed on the chassis. This locking pin extends in the region of the support surface and projects beyond this preferably perpendicular, approximately corresponding to the counter-holder in the previously described first advantageous embodiment of the quick-release device.
- locking lever and locking pin are to be designed so that upon pivoting of the locking lever in the locking position of the lid located on the counter wedge is pressed onto the wedge mounted on the sword.
- This acting on the chassis pressing pressure generated between the counter wedge and wedge causes a locking of the chain unit to the main body of the chain saw.
- the pressing pressure causes a longitudinal displacement of the sword in the direction away from the drive pinion, so that the saw chain is tensioned.
- a spacer is mounted on the sword movable and is biased by means of springs in the direction of the drive pinion for the saw chain.
- the wedge cooperating with the counter wedge on the cover of the tensioning lever arrangement is fastened to the sword in a sliding manner.
- this wedge is so in connection with the spacer that when the spacer slides after opening the clamping lever assembly in the direction of the drive pinion, it is also pushed or pulled by the spacer in this direction.
- wedge and sword are preferably on a micro-toothing in contact with each other. So it is conceivable to provide the resting on the sword bottom of the wedge with a micro-toothing. A corresponding micro-toothing is then applied along those longitudinal sections on the top of the sword, on which move the wedge can.
- the micro-toothing is designed so that the wedge with respect to the sword in only one direction along its longitudinal axis (this is when mounted sword in the direction of the drive pinion) can be moved.
- a chain unit or a sword is used with one of the embodiments of the quick-release device according to the invention, which has a spacer which is biased by spring forces from the sword in the direction of the drive pinion, it is advantageous if in this case the lid of the clamping lever assembly as well as on the sword located spacers are formed so that they cooperate such that upon completion of the locking and tensioning operation, when the lid on the wedge and the counter wedge lowers, the spacer is pushed on the sword against the spring force in the longitudinal direction away from the drive pinion. In this way, after the locking of the chain unit on the main body of the chain saw is no longer necessary connection between the drive pinion and spacer solved so that no frictional losses and wear occur during operation of the chainsaw.
- the spacer is provided on its side opposite the contact surface of the drive pinion side with a wedge-shaped nose.
- a likewise wedge-shaped counter-nose is formed on the lid.
- a chainsaw In order to use a sword on which a spacer is movably mounted, even with a chainsaw, in which the drive pinion already mounted on the drive shaft before mounting the sword is, such a chainsaw to be provided with a stop for this spacer.
- the stop is to be designed such that the biased by spring force in the direction of the drive pinion spacer comes into contact with this stop before contacting the drive pinion. In this way, the spacer is protected during the assembly of the sword on the chassis of the chain saw from damage due to undefined running on the drive pinion or the drive shaft.

- FIGS. 20 and 21 show the second inventive design quick release device in the open and almost closed state (the full locking means locking lever 227 is not done here). From the FIG. 21 It can be seen how already in the almost closed state of the quick-release device located on the cover 225 counter wedge 226 comes to rest on the wedge 210, and then exert the necessary pressing force 230 and sliding force 231 on the sword 207 with completion of the lock.
- FIGS. 23 a) - c) represent schematically the three essential steps in the locking of the quick-release device.
- FIG. 23 a The situation shown corresponds essentially to the situation FIG. 21 , Here are the wedge 210 and the counterwedge 226 still easy on each other. If, in the following, the locking lever 227 is pressed downwards in the direction of the cover 225, its hook-shaped formation engages in the recess 228 in the locking pin 224 (FIG. FIG. 23 b) , The eccentric configuration of the hook-shaped recess, when penetrating into the recess 228, causes an increasing pressing of the counterwedge 226 on the wedge 210, so that both a pressing pressure 230 and a sliding pressure 231 are exerted on the blade 207 connected to the wedge 210. This causes, after complete locking of the quick-release device ( FIG. 23 c) the sword 207 locked by the pressing pressure 230 fixed to the chassis and the saw chain 208 is tensioned by the sliding pressure 231.
- wedge-shaped nose 240 lowers on a corresponding location on the spacer 211 mounted counter-nose 213, whereby with the completion of the locking operation of the spacer 211 against the force applied by the springs 212 spring force away from the drive pinion 205 is pushed. If the locking is released again later and the cover 225 is raised, the nose 240 releases the counter-nose 213 again, so that the spacer 211 is pushed back again in the direction of the drive pinion 205 by the spring force. At the same time, the spacer 211 also pushes the wedge 210 back in the direction of the drive pinion 205 via its transverse element 216.
- the wedge 210 can be moved by means of the spacer 211 when opening the lid 225 back toward the drive pinion 205 is in the connecting area between wedge 210 and sword 207 a Micro-toothing formed as in the FIG. 25 shown.
- the spacer 211 is not shown, and also the wedge 210 is only partially shown to show the lower surface of the sword 207 can.
- the region of the sword 207, on which the wedge 210 can move is provided with a micro-toothing which cooperates with a corresponding on the opposite surface of the wedge 210 corresponding micro-toothing 250 together.
- this micro-toothing 250 is realized with a sawtooth-like structure, wherein the structure applied to the surface of the sword is formed by a plurality of sawtooth-shaped elevations. In this case, the elevations on the drive pinion 205 side facing a steep, in particular vertical edge, while they are running on the side facing away from the drive pinion 205 side with low pitch.
- FIG. 26 is shown using the example of a quick-release device according to the second alternative embodiment, a chassis of a chain saw, in which the drive pinion 305 is fixedly mounted on the drive shaft.
- a stop 300 for this spacer 311 is provided on the chassis.
- the FIG. 27 shows a sword 307 according to the invention applied to this type of chain saw. As can be seen from the figure, in this case the spacer 311 comes into contact with the stop 300. A contact with the drive pinion 305 and thus possibly accompanying damage to the spacer 311 can thereby be effectively avoided.
Description
The invention relates to a chain saw comprising a quick-release device and a sword.
Known chainsaws include a main body with one or more handles to hold the chain saw in use and a saw chain / sword assembly removably attached to the main body. In the main body is a drive unit, in particular an electric or internal combustion engine, which drives a drive pinion, which is in communication with the saw chain for driving. The sword is a substantially elongated, rectangular and flat body with a rounded end, which has on its outer edge a guide groove for guiding the saw chain.
In view of a desired ease of use, conventional chainsaws have a number of disadvantages. For example, a chainsaw is usually offered packaged in the trade, that find their sword and chain as separate parts next to the main body in the package, so that the customer must assemble the parts themselves before putting the saw. This is often not easy even for an experienced user. For this purpose, a housing cover located on the housing, which covers the chain drive in the sawing operation, usually has to be removed from the main body. This is often not possible without tools. Then the saw chain has to be looped around the sword that it runs in the guide groove of the sword. Only now can the sword with the saw chain attached to it be connected to the main body of the chain saw. Care must be taken to ensure that the saw chain does not slip out of the guide groove in the blade and that the saw chain rests correctly on the drive pinion connected to the drive unit.
Following this installation, the housing cover can then be reapplied, whereby it can not yet be locked in its final position, since before the tension of the saw chain on the sword must be properly adjusted. This is necessary for safety reasons, but also to optimize the sawing properties. Otherwise, there is a particular danger that the saw chain jumps from the sword during operation of the chainsaw and inflicts serious injuries on the operator. However, manually setting the optimum chain tension is difficult and requires experience and practice. In conventional chain saws, the tension of the chain is often possible via a lever located on the chain saw. After the voltage has been applied, the housing is completely locked in its final position and serves in this way to fix the sword between the machine and the housing cover.
Since both the saw chain and the sword wear out in the course of operation or become dull, they must be removed regularly for maintenance and cleaning activities from the main body of the chain saw. Thus, over the life cycle of a chain saw results in frequent and repeated insertion of the saw chain associated with the need to re-tension them correctly.
Also, the saw chain will lengthen over time due to the tensile stress acting on it during operation, so that even if the saw chain and the sword remain in the chain saw for a long time, a regular re-tensioning of the saw chain is necessary to continuously optimum safety and to ensure cutting action. Inexperienced users are often overwhelmed with this retightening of the saw chain. For this purpose, usually the housing cover must be released from its lock in order to move the sword to a suitable extent so far that the tension of the running thereon saw chain is corrected again. Following this, the housing cover to fix the sword is to be locked again on the main body.
The object of the invention is therefore to form a chain saw or parts thereof so that attaching the saw chain and sword on the main body of the chain saw is easy to do and easy clamping of the saw chain is possible.
The object is achieved on the one hand with a chainsaw with the features of
In the chain saw according to the invention comprising a quick-release device, a sword, a drive pinion, and a drive unit for driving a running over the sword and the drive pinion saw chain, the drive pinion is connected via a drive shaft with the drive unit in connection. The chassis of the chainsaw is provided with bearing surfaces on which the sword comes to rest on the main body during its mounting slide-movable. On the sword there is a wedge mounted, while on the chassis in the region of the drive shaft, a movable clamping lever assembly comprising a counter-wedge is mounted, which cooperates with the mounted on the sword wedge. The interaction of wedge and counterwedge causes the locking of the sword on the chainsaw and at the same time the tensioning of the saw chain. Because by the interaction of the two wedges on a surface inclined relative to the surface normal of the chassis of the chainsaw surface is both a contact pressure, which presses the sword on the chassis, as well as a sliding pressure, which pushes the sword away from the drive pinion generated.
As part of the automatic clamping and locking operation, the clamping lever assembly on the one hand on an open position in which at least the saw chain and the sword can be removed from the main body of the chain saw, and on the other hand, a closed position in which the saw chain stretched on the drive pinion and the sword and the sword is firmly locked to the chassis of the main body.
From the chassis of the main body extending connected to the drive unit of the chain saw drive shaft extends.
In a possible embodiment of the invention, the drive pinion is applied to this drive shaft only when mounting the chain unit to the chassis of the chain saw, for example by plugging.
In another possible embodiment of the invention, a drive pinion is already applied to the drive shaft before mounting a sword, so that during or after assembly of this sword, the saw chain is placed around the drive pinion.
In the chain unit with the quick-release device of the chainsaw, the sword, the saw chain and the drive pinion driving the saw chain form a structural unit. On the sword, a wedge and a spacer are mounted. The spacer is movably mounted in the longitudinal direction of the sword and is tensioned against the sword by spring force. The direction of the spring force is oriented in the direction of the drive pinion so that the spacer presses by means of the spring force, the drive pinion from the sword in the direction of the chain or pulls. In this way, the drive pinion is held with engagement in the chain between the chain and the sword. At the same time, the pressure force exerted by the spacer on the drive pinion causes the saw chain to be held in tension so that it does not automatically slip out of the guide groove in the blade. Preferably, a contact surface is formed on the drive pinion about the axis of rotation at which the spacer comes to rest.
In one possible embodiment of the chain unit, the wedge is firmly locked on the sword.
In an alternative embodiment of the chain unit, the wedge is mounted on the one hand movable relative to the sword along its longitudinal axis and movable relative to the spacer. In a particularly advantageous manner, the wedge is connected via micro gears with the sword.
On the sword with the quick-release device of the chain saw, which is suitable for use in the chain unit described above, a wedge is mounted. In one possible embodiment of the sword according to the invention, the wedge is firmly locked on the sword.
In another alternative embodiment of the sword, the wedge is movably mounted relative to the sword along its longitudinal axis. In a particularly advantageous manner, the wedge is connected via micro gears with the sword. Thus, the underside of the wedge lying on the sword is provided with a micro-toothing. A corresponding micro-toothing is applied along those longitudinal sections on the top of the sword, on which the wedge can move. The micro-toothing is preferably designed such that the wedge can be displaced with respect to the sword in only one direction along its longitudinal axis (this is with the sword mounted in the direction of the drive pinion).
Preferably, in addition to the wedge, the sword also has a spacer movably mounted in the longitudinal direction of the sword.
In a first advantageous embodiment of the quick-release device according to the invention a counter-holder is formed on the chassis in the region of the support surface for the sword, which preferably projects beyond this support surface vertically. In order to cooperate with this counter-holder, in the mounted on the sword wedge preferably the middle part, as well as corresponding to the underlying portion of the sword, so recessed that when applying the chain unit on the support surface of the anvil can penetrate the wedge in this recess and in Follow the wedge overhanging. In order to assist the adjustment of the sword on the chassis of the chain saw, preferably the recess in the wedge, as well as in the underlying area in the sword, should be designed as a longitudinal groove, in which a located on the chassis below the counter-holder elongated spring can engage.
In a special way, in this case the movement of the elements of the clamping lever assembly in the transition from the open position to the closed position designed such that the counter wedge slides over the wedge mounted on the sword and held by the anvil by means of contact pressure locks the sword on the chassis. At the same time thereby the sword is pushed longitudinally in the direction away from the drive pinion, so that the saw chain is tensioned.
Advantageously, the tensioning lever arrangement for tensioning the saw chain and locking the sword on the chassis comprises a lid, which can for example also be formed directly by that housing cover which covers the chain drive in the sawing operation. On the cover pivotally mounted on the chassis, a linkage is provided, by means of which the rotary movement of the cover is transformed into a longitudinal movement of a rod becomes. This rod in turn is in connection with a counter wedge and thus promotes its rotational and longitudinal movement.
If the cover is pivoted in the direction of the chain unit applied to the main body of the chain saw (towards the closed position of the tension lever arrangement), then in a first step the counter wedge is also pivoted onto the wedge mounted on the sword. Then realized via link and rod connection between the lid and counter-wedge causes a longitudinal displacement of the counter-wedge on the wedge. Here, the counter-wedge pushes under the mounted on the chassis, over the wedge on the sword standing out counterhold. This causes the counterwedge is pressed with increasing longitudinal displacement on the wedge. This ensures that transmits the longitudinal movement of the counter-wedge on the sword mounted on the wedge on the sword. At the same time, the pressing force acting perpendicularly on the chassis, which the counter-holder generates between the counter-wedge and the wedge, generates a locking of the chain unit on the main body of the chain saw. The pressing pressure between the wedge and counterwedge further causes a longitudinal displacement of the sword in the direction away from the drive pinion, so that the saw chain is tensioned.
In the event that, for improved adjustment of the sword, a spring formed on the chassis extends into a groove located in the wedge and sword in the omission, it is profitable to provide this spring with a slot in which the spacer in a Longitudinal displacement can penetrate unhindered.
In a possible variant of the first advantageous embodiment of the quick-release device according to the invention, the rod, by means of which the movement of the cover is transferred to the counter-wedge, with one or more Spring biased so that the spring force supports the longitudinal movement of the rod. Furthermore, the cooperation between cover and counter wedge can be profitably improved by introducing a movably mounted connecting web between the two components.
In an alternative variant of the first advantageous embodiment of the quick-release device according to the invention, the longitudinal movement of the rod, by means of which the rotational movement of the cover is transmitted to the counter-wedge, supported by a lever and / or a clamping mechanism.
In this case, the clamping mechanism can be configured such that it is actuated via a link connected to the lid of the tensioning lever assembly and acts on the connected to the counter-wedge rod. The clamping mechanism causes between the cover and rod adjusts a traction, which supports the transmission of the rotational movement of the lid in a linear movement of the rod. In this way, the counter-wedge is moved towards the wedge located on the sword, so that it locks with the main body of the chain saw and the saw chain is tensioned.
To release the locking of the sword on the chassis of the chain saw, the counter wedge is pulled by means of a longitudinal movement of the rod again from the wedge mounted on the sword. Here, the longitudinal movement of the rod is initially supported by acting between the lid and rod clamping mechanism. In the course of the rotation of the lid is transmitted by means of a movably mounted on this lever on the rod. Here, this lever exerts a compressive force on a stop attached to the rod, so that in this way also the rotational movement of the lid is transformed into a linear movement of the rod.
In order to improve the adhesion by means of the clamping mechanism, it is advisable to carry out the rod in the region in which it interacts with the clamping mechanism, advantageously with a non-slip, in particular corrugated surface. It is also conceivable to carry out the bar in a profitable manner, at least in the area of interaction with the clamping mechanism with an elliptical cross-section. Alternatively, according to a circular cross-section of the rod and the clamping mechanism can be designed such that there the cross section of the passage for the rod is performed elliptical.
Preferably, the lid of the clamping lever assembly is provided with a fastening element, by means of which it is automatically or manually fixed after completion of the locking and clamping operation on the chassis of the chain saw.
In a second advantageous refinement of the quick-action clamping device according to the invention, the counterwedge and a locking lever are mounted on the cover which is pivotably mounted on the chassis of the chain saw. In this case, the locking lever is pivotally mounted relative to the lid. To cooperate with this locking lever a locking pin is formed on the chassis. This locking pin extends in the region of the support surface and projects beyond this preferably perpendicular, approximately corresponding to the counter-holder in the previously described first advantageous embodiment of the quick-release device. In order to cooperate with the locking lever of the locking pin is provided in a profitable manner with a recess into which a preferably hook-shaped training can engage the locking lever. The interacting surfaces of locking lever and locking pin are to be designed so that upon pivoting of the locking lever in the locking position of the lid located on the counter wedge is pressed onto the wedge mounted on the sword. This acting on the chassis pressing pressure generated between the counter wedge and wedge, causes a locking of the chain unit to the main body of the chain saw. Furthermore, the pressing pressure causes a longitudinal displacement of the sword in the direction away from the drive pinion, so that the saw chain is tensioned.
In the cooperating with this embodiment of the quick-release device sword a spacer is mounted on the sword movable and is biased by means of springs in the direction of the drive pinion for the saw chain. The wedge cooperating with the counter wedge on the cover of the tensioning lever arrangement is fastened to the sword in a sliding manner. Advantageously, this wedge is so in connection with the spacer that when the spacer slides after opening the clamping lever assembly in the direction of the drive pinion, it is also pushed or pulled by the spacer in this direction. Alternatively, it would of course also conceivable to bias the wedge slidably mounted on the sword itself in the direction of the drive pinion with a spring force.
In order to cause the pressing pressure between the wedge and counter wedge in a thrust force on the sword away from the drive pinion when closing the clamping lever assembly, but at the same time to allow a shift of the wedge toward the drive pinion when opening the clamping lever assembly, wedge and sword are preferably on a micro-toothing in contact with each other. So it is conceivable to provide the resting on the sword bottom of the wedge with a micro-toothing. A corresponding micro-toothing is then applied along those longitudinal sections on the top of the sword, on which move the wedge can. The micro-toothing is designed so that the wedge with respect to the sword in only one direction along its longitudinal axis (this is when mounted sword in the direction of the drive pinion) can be moved.
If a chain unit or a sword is used with one of the embodiments of the quick-release device according to the invention, which has a spacer which is biased by spring forces from the sword in the direction of the drive pinion, it is advantageous if in this case the lid of the clamping lever assembly as well as on the sword located spacers are formed so that they cooperate such that upon completion of the locking and tensioning operation, when the lid on the wedge and the counter wedge lowers, the spacer is pushed on the sword against the spring force in the longitudinal direction away from the drive pinion. In this way, after the locking of the chain unit on the main body of the chain saw is no longer necessary connection between the drive pinion and spacer solved so that no frictional losses and wear occur during operation of the chainsaw.
Advantageously, for this purpose, the spacer is provided on its side opposite the contact surface of the drive pinion side with a wedge-shaped nose. To cooperate with this wedge-shaped nose, a likewise wedge-shaped counter-nose is formed on the lid. With the completion of the locking and clamping process thus nose and counter-nose act on each other so that the spacer is pushed on the sword against the spring force in the longitudinal direction away from the drive pinion.
In order to use a sword on which a spacer is movably mounted, even with a chainsaw, in which the drive pinion already mounted on the drive shaft before mounting the sword is, such a chainsaw to be provided with a stop for this spacer. In this case, the stop is to be designed such that the biased by spring force in the direction of the drive pinion spacer comes into contact with this stop before contacting the drive pinion. In this way, the spacer is protected during the assembly of the sword on the chassis of the chain saw from damage due to undefined running on the drive pinion or the drive shaft.
In order to facilitate the assembly of the chain unit to the main body, advantageously in the mounting area on the chassis to the support of the sword trained bearing surfaces can be carried out magnetically or provided with a magnet. In this way it is achieved that after hanging up the chain unit holds this automatically, so that the operator can operate the clamping lever assembly without simultaneous holding the chain unit.

On the

The function of the
