Abstract

Verfahren und Vorrichtung für die Prüfung, ob eine Oberfläche eines Gegenstands mit einem Wertdokument versehen ist. Jedes echte Wertdokument ist mit einem vorgegebenen Sicherheitsmerkmal versehen. Ein rechnerverfügbares Abbild von dem zu untersuchenden Oberflächen-Bereich wird erzeugt. Geprüft wird, ob dieses Abbild ein Objekt-Bild umfasst, welches mit einem Objekt-Bild übereinstimmt, welches in einem Wertdokumente-Datenspeicher abgespeichert ist. Dann, wenn das Abbild kein solches Objekt-Bild umfasst, so wird geprüft, ob ein vorgegebener Prüf-Bereich ein vorgegebenes Sicherheitsmerkmal aufweist. Dann, wenn ein Sicherheitsmerkmal ermittelt wurde, wird unter Verwendung des Abbilds nach einem Wertdokument im Prüf-Bereich gesucht. Dann, wenn ein Wertdokument im Prüf-Bereich gefunden wird, wird ein Bild von diesem Wertdokument erzeugt und im Wertdokumente-Datenspeicher abgespeichert.

Method and device for checking whether a surface of an object is provided with a value document. Each genuine value document is provided with a predetermined security feature. A computer-accessible image of the surface area to be examined is generated. It is checked whether this image comprises an object image which coincides with an object image which is stored in a value document data memory. Then, if the image does not include such an object image, then it is checked whether a predetermined test area has a predetermined security feature. Then, when a security feature has been detected, the image is searched for a value document in the check area using the image. Then, when a value document is found in the check area, an image of that value document is generated and stored in the value document data memory.
