Bei Überschreiten des Grenzwerts wird der Mengenstrom der entnommenen flüssigen Phase reduziert und zugleich Gemisch aus der Gasphase, in der die leichter siedende Komponente angereichert vorliegt, entnommen. Die entnommenen Mengenströme aus flüssiger Phase und Gasphase werden anschließend miteinander gemischt. Dadurch kann die Zusammensetzung des insgesamt entnommenen Gemisches innerhalb eines vorgegebenen Konzentrationsbereiches gehalten werden.
