Abstract

A traditional family grave with a usual width of about 1.60 m or more is ideal for conversion into a "combi grave". Coffin burials are still possible on one half side of the tomb and the installation of 1 to 3 urn containers is possible on the other half of the tomb. It can be up to max. 9 urn burials are made. By laying, for example, a 2/3 grave plate, which can accommodate 2 to 3 urn containers, one achieves at the same time a significant care reduction by the smaller planting area.

Single grave to urn grave

Mostly 1 m wide, these are ideally suited for conversion into an urn grave if required. Unshorted, with a length of about 2 m, 2 to 3 urn container can be embedded. If necessary, the grave can be shortened to about 1.2 m and then still offers space for 2 urn containers.

With increasing tendency to urn burials, such, in all respects advantageous and simple solution, urges on. Existing graves are used even more intensively, ie space-saving.
As a result, in many cases, the expansion or new installations of cemeteries are superfluous. Enormous land savings are the case.
The provision of columbaria niches is drastically reduced by this invention. The urn-keeping in Columbaria will nevertheless be required for the deceased, without relatives who could take care of a grave.

From the center of the grave, starting from the grave base, a center line at an angle of 90 ° is to be created. As a tool a cord can be used. If a grave border already exists, the dimensional accuracy should be checked!

Starting from the inner edge of the socket and the outer edges of the edge edging, the exact center layers of the protective pipes to be sunk can be fixed. The protective tubes have an outer diameter of 31.5 cm.

The distance (rebound) of the grave plate from the outer edge of the edging - usually 1.5 or 2 cm - must not be ignored! To excavate the required holes, to hold the protective tubes, for 1 urn about 65 cm, for 2 urns about 95 cm and for 3 urns about 130 cm deep, at least for the two deeper holes, an auger should be used. When setting the protective tubes, it is essential to ensure maximum dimensional accuracy and an absolute 90 ° position to the surface.

The protective tubes must have a minimum distance of 3 cm to the lower edge of the grave plate. The protective tubes are filled with roller gravel, grit size 16/32, approx. 5 - 6 cm high. The upper openings of the installed protective tubes must be secured with a cover - until the grave plate is placed on top. The supplied protective caps can be used for this purpose.

The required diameter to hold the urn container is 26 cm. For precise fixation of the holes in the plate, a precise measurement must be taken on site. A millimeter-accurate work is required because of the small difference between the inner diameter of the outer tube and the outer diameter of the urn container!

- Installation in loose granite slabs -

The thickness of the plates should be about 5 to 6 cm. These can be square, round or cut in other shapes. The loose plates must also be provided with a diameter of 26 cm.

In contrast to the installation in solid grave slabs, the loose granite slabs are screwed to the protective tube. Attention, turn the position of the 4 holes in the protective tube to the desired position. To ensure sufficient stability, a minimum dimension of 55 cm square or 60 cm in diameter is required.

The plates are screwed with 4 angles to the protective tube. At the upper edge of the pipe are 4 holes with a diameter of 9 mm. 4 pieces dowels for screws, 8 mm, are drilled in the underside of the plates.

The 4 angles, galvanized, have the dimensions flat steel 35 x 5 mm with a side length of 75 mm. (Standard angle for stonemasons)
