Also the US 5,685,023 by William D. Alston discloses a toilet seat according to the preamble of claim 1. In contrast to the children's toilet seat from the WO 02/062190 A1 to Thomas G. Merry, however, this child seat can be attached to a standard toilet seat. A toilet equipped with this child seat can be used by both children and adults. The child seat consists of a plastic ring, which has a strip-shaped extension on one outer side. This extension is bent from above around a rear edge of the ordinary toilet seat and glued to a bottom of the toilet seat. Due to the bending in the plastic of the extension of the child seat, a force acts on the child seat, which drives the child seat in a folded-up position. If the child seat is folded down, however, the force of gravity is greater than this righting force and the child seat remains folded down. The disadvantage of some of these known additional toilet seats is that the respective additional toilet seat can only be used together with an associated toilet seat. The other of these additional toilet seats are indeed attachable to a standard toilet seat, but have other disadvantages. Thus, for example, their construction is complex and therefore their production expensive, or the material of the toilet seat is exposed to high tensions when using the toilet seat, resulting in damage after a short term use of material fatigue.

Presentation of the invention

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a toilet accessory seat belonging to the aforementioned technical field, which can be used together with any toilet seat and at the same time is inexpensive to produce and permanently usable.

The solution of the problem is defined by the features of claim 1. According to the invention, a toilet seat is provided, which has a material taper between the fastening device and the seat ring, in the region of which a material of the toilet seat is deformed during folding. Here, material rejuvenation means an area of the toilet seat in which the thickness of the material, in contrast to the thickness of the surrounding material of the Toilet supplementary seat is reduced. In cross-section, this material taper can have different shapes. For example, it can be V-shaped. But it can also be stepped heel-shaped and have any width. But it can also have rounded edges. The exact shape, width and depth of the material taper essentially depends on the properties of the material used, such as machinability and ductility. This inventive toilet seat has several advantages. So he is, for example, inexpensive to produce. In addition, it is in the folded-down configuration in an undeformed state. Furthermore, the material taper has the advantage that it predefines the deformed when folding up the area of the toilet accessory seat. Preferably, the material of the toilet accessory seat is plastic. This may, for example, be polypropylene. Alternatively, however, other plastics or combinations of plastics can be used. The seat ring 3 has a flat shape with rounded edges (see also FIGS. 2a and 2b ). Its floor plan is essentially oval. In contrast to the first edge 10, the further edge 14 is not bent at a certain angle around straight lines, but has a circular rounding in cross-section, with one area to a free edge no longer bent, but is flat. This area is oriented at an angle of 35 degrees to the lower major surface of the second part 4, with the free edge facing the lower major surface. The rounding of the further edge 14 has a radius of 1 cm.

By the bend 16 in the in FIG. 6 shown embodiment of the second part 4, this second part 4 is better adapted to the shape of the seat ring 101 than that in the FIG. 4 shown second part 4.

In addition to the embodiments of the toilet accessory seat 1 described above, further embodiments according to the invention are conceivable. For example, the shape of the seat ring 3 can be adapted to the specific needs of the user. In addition, the connector between the first part 2 and the second part 4 may be formed differently. For example, it may be formed by plug-in knobs on one part and corresponding openings on the other part. Furthermore, the fastening device 5 can also be designed differently. There are terminals conceivable, which can be inserted from below on the hinge rod 105 of the toilet seat 100. Or an adhesive device is conceivable, by which the further edge 14 of the second part 4 can be glued to the toilet seat 100. In addition, there is the possibility that the plastic layer, which prevents slippage of the toilet additive seat 1 on the toilet seat 100, is designed differently. It may for example be mounted only on the first part 2, or it may also consist of several individual elements. These can be arranged arbitrarily on the underside of the toilet accessory seat 1. But there is also the possibility that no such plastic layer is present.

The angle between the two cut surfaces of the material taper 6 may also differ from the angles given above. It is only to be adapted to the corresponding needs. There is also the possibility that the material taper 6 has a different shape than that of a V-shaped notch. In addition, the second part 4 may also have a plurality of parallel tapered material 6.

In addition to these embodiments, there is also the possibility that the toilet accessory seat 1 is made in one piece. In this case, the first part 2 and the second part 4 are firmly connected. For this they can either be made of a piece of material, or consist of several materials, which, however, are firmly connected to each other from the factory.

In summary, it should be noted that there is provided a toilet accessory seat belonging to the technical field mentioned at the outset, which seat can be used together with any toilet seat and at the same time is inexpensive to produce and permanently usable.

Claims (11)

1. Additional toilet seat (1) having a seat ring (3) and a fastening device (5) for fastening to a toilet seat (100), wherein in a state in which the additional toilet seat (1) is attached to a toilet seat (100) which is fastened to a toilet bowl both the additional toilet seat (1) as well as the toilet seat (100) are capable of being raised, and the additional toilet seat (1) between the fastening device (5) and the seat ring (3) has a material diminution (6) in the region of which a material of the additional toilet seat (1) is deformed when being raised, and wherein the additional toilet seat (1) is embodied in two parts, wherein a first part (2) comprises the seat ring (3) and a second part (4) comprises the fastening device (5) and the material diminution (6), characterized in that the first and the second parts (2, 4) are interconnectable.
2. Additional toilet seat (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the material of the additional toilet seat (1) is plastic.
3. Additional toilet seat (1) according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a rotation axis (15) for raising the additional toilet seat (1) runs in the region of the material diminution (6).
4. Additional toilet seat (1) according to Claim 3, characterized in that in the state in which the additional toilet seat (1) is attached to the toilet seat (100) which is fastened to the toilet bowl the rotation axis (15) for raising the additional toilet seat (1) is a rotation axis which is different from a rotation axis (103) for raising the toilet seat (100).
5. Additional toilet seat (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the additional toilet seat (1) is attachable to a toilet seat (100) in such a manner that a toilet lid (102) which is fastened to the toilet seat (100) is closable above the additional toilet seat (100).
6. Additional toilet seat (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the additional toilet seat (1) by way of the fastening device (5) is selectively and manually attachable to the toilet seat (100) and removable therefrom.
7. Additional toilet seat (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the additional toilet seat (1) is attachable to a toilet seat (100) in such a manner that the fastening device (5) encompasses a rear periphery (106) of the toilet seat (100).
8. Additional toilet seat (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the first and the second parts (2, 4) are interconnectable by way of a plug connection.
9. Additional toilet seat (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized by at least one element having high static friction, which in the state in which the additional toilet seat (1) is attached to the toilet seat (100) prevents sliding of the additional toilet seat (1) on the toilet seat (100).
10. Additional toilet seat (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the additional toilet seat (1) between the fastening device (5) and the seat ring (3) comprises a plurality of material diminutions (6).
11. Additional toilet seat (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that an opening (8) of the seat ring (3) is smaller than an opening (107) of a seat ring (101) of the toilet seat (100).
