- Rolling train for producing flat products of steel from continuously cast slabs of greater or medium thickness or from thin strips, comprising a first upsetting device (1), a roughing train and a finishing train, characterised in that a first descaling device (2) for descaling the strip edges of the flat products is arranged upstream of the first upsetting device (1), that the first descaling device (2) has at each of the two strip edges of the flat products a respective plurality of nozzles, in particular three nozzles (6a, 6b, 6c; 7a, 7b, 7c), directed onto the strip edges and that the nozzles (6a, 6b, 6c; 7a, 7b, 7c) are mounted on the lateral guides of the rolling train at the ends, which face the upsetting device (1), of the lateral guides and are adjustable in width together with the lateral guides.
- Rolling train according to claim 4, characterised in that the nozzles are mounted on the straight edges (4, 5) of the lateral guides and are adjustable in width together with the straight edges (4, 5).
- Rolling train according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that a second upsetting device is provided upstream of the finishing train and that a second descaling device for descaling the strip edges of the flat products is arranged upstream of the second upsetting device.
- Rolling train according to claim 6, characterised in that the second descaling device has at each of the two strip edges at least one nozzle which is directed onto a respective one of the two strip edges of the flat products and from which a fluid, particularly water, can be irradiated under high pressure onto the strip edges.
- Rolling train according to any one of claims 4 to 7, characterised in that the fluid can be irradiated from the nozzles (6a, 6b, 6c; 7a, 7b, 7c) onto the flat products in each instance at an angle of 60° to 90° referred to the lateral surface of the flat products, particularly at an angle of 75°.
